Some Fair Trading Value

25 Aug 13 23:59
In the 15.05 at Epsom Fair Value is a mare who likes to go forward & has been available to trade on in 5 of her last 6 outings. She is a real speeball & took on the likes of Six Wives for the lead last time out at Goodwood & earlier in the season she traded as low as 1.02 in the Epsom Dash which is the fastest 5f race in the world. Today she returns to this lightening fast downhill course & off the same mark I think she may stand more chance of getting an easy lead in a smaller field.

Over 5f things will be very straight forward but she is sure to be leading early on & on a quick downhill course she may just get away from them & last home, at the very least she should trade much shorter in running than her SP.

Fair Value can be backed now for 2 points at 7.0 at the books (hills, coral). If you want 30% profit then lay off 2.6 points at 5.1, or if you want 50% profit then lay off 3.05 points at 4.5 to give you a 1 point profit in all outcomes.

Best of luck.

A Valuable Trade

21 Aug 13 14:08
In the 15.55 at Musselburgh down the betting is the david O'Mera trained gelding Art History. He's actually dropped in grade today after the handicapper has started to release his grip. Art History likes to front run which has made him available to trade on in each of his last 4 races. Dropping in grade he stands much more chance of outstaying these lower class rivals today & should at the very least trade shorter in running.

Apologies for the short write up, I'm on holiday!

Art History can be backed now at 13.0 at the books (boyles). If you want 30% profit then lay off 2.6 points at 9.4, or if you want 50% profit then lay off 3.05 points at 8.2 to give you a 1 point profit in all outcomes.

Best of luck.

A Scorching Trade

16 Aug 13 23:51
In the 15.10 at Chester everyone knows it pays to be drawn low & with the plum draw of them all is the 3 year old colt Yourartisonfire. He’s been available to trade on in 8 of his 10 racecourse starts & last time out in a hot handicap at Glorious he looked like a potential winner around 1f from home where he traded around even money.

Today he’ll have the advantage that running the inside rail at Chester gives you and given he likes to be right up on the speed once the stalls open his price is only likely to go in one direction.

If he gets a lead they can be very hard to peg back at Chester & given his consistency of form within this grade he could just find things all go his way.

Yourartisonfire can be backed now for 2 points at 6.5 at the books (hills). If you want 30% profit then lay off 2.6 points at 4.8, or if you want 50% profit then lay off 3.05 points at 4.1 to give you a 1 point profit in all outcomes.

Best of luck.

I've put up Jamaican Bolt 4 times already this summer & he's been withdrawn on every occasion! I guess this tells us that connections are waiting for the perfect conditions for him to show his best, all his runs have been on good to soft or softer & tomorrow at Doncaster it is due to rain between 1pm & 4pm, just perfect for his entry in the 5f handicap at 16.15.

Here are the reasons to be interested in his reappearance...

Jamacian Bolt was progressive last season notching up 3 victories and on his re-appearance this season he ran a good race over 6f trading from a BSP of 10.o down to 2.22 in play before fading in the final furlong into 5th place. In his last race of last season he finished 2nd by a neck to Jack Dexter who is now competing in group company, also that day behind him was Mass Rally who came out subsequent over 6f & won indicating he was in great form at that time.

Jamacian Bolt's form is stacking up right left & centre and the drop back in trip to 5f today should be exactly what is required given his early speed and the fact he wasn't quite able to sustain it over 6f. Jamaican Bolt's overall trading record is excellent being available at the required prices in 10 of his 11 races to date.

Jamaican Bolt can be backed now at 7.5 at the books (victor). If you want 30% profit then lay off 2.6 points at 5.5, or if you want 50% profit then lay off 3.05 points at 4.8 to give you a 1 point profit in all outcomes.

Best of luck.

In the 15.00 at Nottingham I’m very interested in the highly unexposed Michael Stout filly Northern Meeting. She’s had just 3 visits to the races so far however what she lacks in experience she has in bundles of promise. She won a maiden at Catterick at a canter by 5 lengths & was then entered in a similar handicap to today’s race at Goodwood where she looked a possible winner about 1f from home. Unfortunately she faded into 5th but not before trading around even money from her BSP of 8.0. That race was over 1m3f so today’s drop in trip to 1m2f should be just what is required.

She is clearly learning all the time but I very much like her attitude from what we’ve seen when she’s asked for her effort I’m expecting her to make eyecatching headway which should give us the shortening in price required for her to trade & given her unexposed profile it would be no surprise if she got home for all money.

Northern Meeting can be backed now for 2 points at  at the books. If you want 30% profit then lay off 2.6 points at 4.4, or if you want 50% profit then lay off 3.05 points at 3.85 to give you a 1 point profit in all outcomes.

Best of luck.

A Trade The Doctor Ordered

15 Aug 13 00:21
In the 15.35 at Beverley Dr Irv comes here off the back of two victories in this grade followed up with a good effort in a handicap a class above todays contest. He traded at 1.71 in running that day & clearly looked the winner at one point. He's back in his correct grade today & after leaving the impression that he's still a well handicapped horse I'm expecting another big run today.

He's been available to trade on in all of his last 9 races because he travels through his races very powerfully. He's likely to be covered up towards the back of the back throughout the 1st half of the race before making up ground & delivering his challenge in the home straight. As he goes on this move through the pack I'm expecting his price to shorten up accordingly.

Dr Irv can be backed now for 2 points at 5.0 at the books (fred, victor. lads). If you want 30% profit then lay off 2.6 points at 3.7, or if you want 50% profit then lay off 3.05 points at 3.2 to give you a 1 point profit in all outcomes.

Best of luck.

A Trading Tipple

13 Aug 13 22:33
I'm busy in the morning so posting tonight..

In the 15.45 at Beverley the horse bringing the best single piece of form to the table is the 4 year old gelding Adam's Ale who finished a very close up 2nd last time out in a race 2 grades above todays contest. He appears to have improved the shorter the distance connections have tried him over so the minimum trip today & dropped in grade should be just ideal. His trading record isn't outstanding however he's coming here in great form off the back of a victory & a very close 2nd place so today I'm expecting another big run.

He will probably go from the front & should travel through the race powerfully which should see his price shorten up accordingly in running to at the very least give us a trade.

Adam's Ale can be backed now for 2 points at 6.5 at the books (victor, lads). If you want 30% profit then lay off 2.6 points at 4.8, or if you want 50% profit then lay off 3.05 points at 4.1 to give you a 1 pont profit in all outcomes.

Best of luck.

Catching A Trade To Euston

13 Aug 13 07:58
In the 16.15 at Carlisle Euston Square appears to have run himself into some consistent form finishing 2nd on his last two outings including in this grade last time out.

Last time out the top two also pulled 5 lengths clear of the field suggesting the form could be worth a fair amount. He’s likely to be covered up through the early part of the race & if his jockey is pushing away with 3f to go it’s still not time to worry. Euston Square should continue to steadily improve as the race goes on and he has every right to be pitching in for victory come the finish line.

Today could be the day where he finally gets his head in front but regardless given his genuine & consistent profile I’m expecting him to at the very least trade shorter towards the end of the race.

Euston Square can be backed now for 2 points at 5.5 at the books (hills). If you want 30% profit then lay off 2.6 points at 4.0, or if you want 50% profit then lay off 3.05 points at 3.5 to give you a 1 point profit in all outcomes.

Best of luck.

Busy day tomorrow so posting the night before.

In the 19.00 at Thirsk the David Barron trained Jofranka is going to be pushing to get to the front early on as she makes use of her blistering early speed. She is able to maintain a high cruising speed on the bridle for quite a while meaning she's been available to trade on in 9 of her last 10 races. Further than that, in all of her last 6 races she's traded heavily odds on at 1.64 or below. That's quite some trading record.

Jofranka has been running to this consistent level both within this grade & from his current mark so today I'm expecting another big run which should at the very least get us a trade. She has a very healthy strike rate with 4 victories from 13 races, with some further progression & her consistency of performances I wouldn't want to be betting against her lasting home for all money.

Jofranka can be backed now for 2 points at 5.5 at the books (bet365, boyles). If you want 30% profit then lay off 2.6 points at 4.0, or if you want 50% profit then lay off 3.05 points at 3.5 to give you a 1 point profit in all outcomes.

Best of luck.

Judging A Good Trade

10 Aug 13 01:02
Rosie Napravnik has already taken lots of the headlines going into the Shergar cup and she will likely form a big part of Channel 4's coverage this afternoon. I also happen to think she has a very good chance in the 14.05 at Ascot on the veteran front running sprinter Judge 'n Jury. He finished a very good 5th last time out in a big field handicap and with a slightly smaller field today he has more of a chance of getting his own way out in front and grabbing a rail to guide his way to the finish line.

He has an excellent trading record being available at the prices required in 8 of his last 9 races and without getting his head in front his mark is slipping steadily to one where he will become capable of winning from. Today he should shoot off & with a very capable international jockey in the saddle I hope that this combination will be making the headlines again tomorrow.

Judge N' Jury can be backed now for 2 points at 10.0 at the books (Fred). If you want 30% profit then lay off 2.6 points at 7.2, or if you want 50% profit then lay off 3.05 points at 6.4 to give you a 1 point profit in all outcomes.

Best of luck.
