I am of an age that I remember most of the greats in their prime and the more I watch Messi the more I am convinced he is the best player ever!

Hard to beat a player who was the central figure in a world cup winning team, but by the end of his career I believe messi will be recognised as the best.
Champions league is now the pinnacle imo, a far higher standard than international football currently, and messi reigns supreme. |

if Messi is going to be regarded as the best, then I feel for the United fans that cant appreciate just how good he really is. A lot of people never got to see Maradona purely down to their hatred of Argentina- shame really.
