It's lose lose for Labour I suspect. For me Burnham's reputation is a result of gaslighting, the general public couldn't care less. But if they end up losing the seat, plenty will argue that Burnham would have won it :)

He would have won it, 1.01

Now they will almost curtainly lose it, vanity project.

But hopefully there are still monets to be made

If this election is declared to be postponed, the timing of this election will be updated and bets will not be voided. New runners may be added upon request

Its still technically a labour seat i think

Sir Keir, banned him from standing, saying the block on him running as the Labour candidate in Gorton and Denton would "avoid an unnecessary mayoral election".

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Sir Keir insisted allowing Burnham to run for a seat in Westminster would "divert our resources" from "very important" campaigns in May's elections ..

Well Mr Starmer if that is the case and Labour get hammered in the Very important May elections that you have done your best to Deplete

Sir Shameless is a goner. No genuine Labour Party supporter will believe this by-election will take/ divert a valuable resource ie money from the Mayoral election.

Sir Shameless is sh1t scared. He knows his days as PM and Labour leader are numbered whether Mr Burnham stands in Gorton or not. His leadership and confidence in him as the leader are irreparably shot.

I think this shows Starmer as a little stronger than last week.  He is not afraid of incurring the wrath of the socialist mob within.  He risks a lot in making it.
Committees never ran anything effectively.  Ever.  Neither did mobs.

Do you think leading a socialist party is right place for him.

Is Labour a socialist party?

I think he's actually made his position worse.

Getting Burnham on board and managing him as a deputy
would have been an act of strength.

I can't see how he survives the wipe out in local elections.

In Caerphilly we saw the left leaning vote coalesce around the most likely party to beat Reform, if the Greens are seen as such a party this time around, especially after the shenanigans around Burnham, then I can see the Greens beating Reform especially if the polls indicate the greens in 2nd or first place (currently 3rd).

Laying labour, 2 places could be way forward.

Yep, Greens should be odds on imo. It's a left-leaning seat, and after the Burnham stitch up any Labour door-knocker will be getting laughed at.

It's Matt Goodwin. Is that the sound of Reform conceding defeat in this race?

Matt Goodwin is a pollster/technical political strategist. He must feel that he has a decent shot, and will be able to expose the fruit and nut jobs of the tiit whispering party. Gorton isn't Brighton or Bath III, I assume. They probably know what a woman is, typically. But obviously not being from the area is a negative.

MO was on Mike Graham this morning, she said 'you know me I'm not political'. Not in relation to the by election, just in conversation. I suspect she could have a role in a potential Reform government but not as a MP. She also said she is starting another charity project related to the raape gangs.

When did Labour become a socialist party?   Is Labour a socialist party?  They binned halfwit Corbyn double-quick which would suggest not.

This is the crucial point. If the tactical voting of Caerphilly is repeated, the Greens will win.
