I was not lying, as you put it PP. A person I met through a friend of my wife told me, a bit like you, that he made money in stocks and shares and bitcoins. He approached me later to suggest we did something together 50/50 and he would show me how he does it. Anyway, he wanted access to my computer which I refused so it kind of went askew and he ended up, for some reason, putting half of my investment, 250 euros, into a trading account for me. He gave me the other half back. Why he chose this company I have no idea. I kept getting phone calls and promises of making it rich, sound familiar, so I quickly lost confidence and have applied for my money back. Apparently it takes 20 days. At the moment my account is up to 306 euros.
If it is not returned I will go through my bank and if that fails I will go through the small claims court. Not a happy storey. My advice to you is 'do not listen to people you don't know who make outlandish claims'. |

I think when the person involved is someone you know, albeit loosely it isn't the same. However, it will teach me to be more careful. Not that I have lost anything yet.
I know you have probably never been scammed or even had a losing bet PP. But there you. Some of us are human. |

@ScotSkye The Scottish govt have made mistakes but the difference seems to be that they accept that some things have not gone well and appear to be trying to learn from it. That‘s why many Scottish people believe the govt has handled it well. A reasonable summary that likely captures the sentiment of those who participated in the poll. |
