Liari respectable run under top weight but I still think the Nicholls horses are a week or two short.

% chance of winning wasn't in my top 3
number of adverts amount of viewers still watching were my top 2 |

We both got Stolen Silver wrong Reg. We should have noted that the Neon Moon race was named after Native River. Brocade Racing are the luckiest owners I have ever seen!
By:
Yes sage, knew my fate after the first, not often that happens
All small stakes today, as I said, just didn't like the look of much |
By:
I did better on the flat today with a small bet place only Jungle Drums and Our Mighty Mo and win and place Bolster. All K Burke who is awesome at the moment. I also backed Liberty lane at Newmarket at 3.4 yesterday and laid off at evens so no damage. The Burke winner at Chelmsford won as it liked but a bit short for me. The nearest I got at Chepstow was Ga Law who looked good until the winner roared past. Kim Bailey back on Monday at Hereford but Von Hallers does not look much on recent form.
By:
Yes sage, I noticed Kim Bailey horse on Monday, might just back it blind because of the stable form
By complete coincidence, I also followed Karl Burke today but decided to leave out the 20/1 winner in the first! Backed Bolster, Mighty Mo, only for small and had a decent bet on his first race Chelmsford winner... On the basis of why he would send one horse down there? |
By:
I was put off the Chelmsford one by the fact that he was not clear favourite! He looked so obvious but some punters fancied one to beat it. I only backed Jungle Drums for a place so gutted to see it win so easily despite drifting. Sam Thomas has some good chances today and looks in good form despite the awful run by Stolen Silver who clearly had a problem.

Someone asked about a jumps thread. Not a chance, it's pointless. I have tried to do similar, but not enough people contribute, or are interested. That's before you get the people who just come on to nit pick. You would get more views if there was a Stewards Enquiry on a Class 5. Already in just two days this thread has become two people just having the sort of chat they could easily do through personnal messaging.
By:
at least it stops the thread from vanishing off the page.
By:
Unfortunately, these threads turn into another place for the aftertimers. Sage is already using it to aftertime his bets on the Flat! Well done with your bet on Josh the Bosh, Drum. As for Might Bandit, I said at the time of his sale to his current connections, they have spent way too much and he looks like he hates the jumping game. Best to put him away at aim him at some decent middle handicaps on the Flat next season. As for today I think Steel Ally will be tough to peg back in the upcoming Welsh Champion Hurdle. Only bet I've had today.

OP
Keep it going,nigh on 1400 views.People don't post doesn't say they're not interested. |

Winner jumped better than my selection. Both nice Handicap Hurdlers for the season.
By:
jumps thread always good drum
thx |
By:
I'll keep a record of my bets I put up on the thread if Drum keeps it going?
By:
There seems to be plenty of interest.
Still too early for me to be adding anything but let's hope it keeps going. |
By:
I suggested keeping it going on this thread for the season because it's much easier than looking at dozens of different threads and there are still plenty of posters who have interesting comments I enjoy reading. I guess if there is sufficient interest it will continue organically anyway

At the risk of sounding like a broken record...
Von Hallers in the last at Hereford today Rubbish recent form, much like the rest of them, but did win a ptp in Ireland The only reason I'm putting it up is because of Kim Bailey stable form 4 winners and a second from last 5 runners, all last week Got some bits and pieces on from 7 to 8, currently about 6.4 Last winner was gambled in from 7/1 to 7/2 in last 10 minutes before the off Gl all |
By:
GL Reg, thought Annie Wicks in the 3.30 and Ben Buie in the 2.00 were mildly interesting and a bit over-priced on their course form with 4 places available
![]() |
By:
Good luck with that one, Reg. It looks a very weak race so she must have some kind of chance with the stable firing in the winners. Nothing for me on the jumps today (I'll be playing at the 2 twilight AW cards) but I like one at Market Rasen tomorrow as long as the going remains on the good side.
By:
Ben Buie ran well at a BSP of 50.94, racing prominently and only fading into a 5 lengths 6th late on. Annie Wicks (BSP 19.02) jumped like a wardrobe early and was lucky not to unseat the jock at the 1st. Her jumping did warm up a bit but the early exertions soon told and she was pulled up 3 out.

By:
Yeah cobs, was watching BenBrui, going well for 3/4 of the race, easy trade out I'd imagine
Von hallers went odds on in running so easy trade out, but lost on my ew bookies bet See you tomorrow |
By:
Von Hallers still declared at MR tomorrow 3.35. Seems unlikely to run.

Can anyone remember what's happened to the Hendo horse that won convincingly 1st out and was made Supreme or Triumph fav but ran too freely next time on soft ground when a hotpot and finished (very) last?
The horse I'm most looking forward to see this season is Constitution Hill. I cannot wait to see him give a drubbing to State Man and Lossiemouth next March, all being well. |

By:
Willmount?
By:
I just came across his name in the Arkle betting. It was Willmount. I hope he can show the potential of his 1st run last season.
By:
Henderson says;
He pulled too hard on his 2nd start and the ground was far too soft Was not right after so decided to give him the rest of the season off. Has come back bigger and stronger. Will remain over hurdles and hopeful he will be high class. |

Expensive Jonjo purchase in the 1st at Market Rasen, market not that keen on it.
By:
Jonjo's, drifted like a barge and won easy enough.
By:
I was sucked in by the money for Cobden and Sue Smith but soon realised it was useless and laid the second one. Money following the jockey.
By:
the way those 2 ran makes you wonder why Smith dragged cobbden up to ride them

Stable 2 from 129 for October runners in the last 5 years

Racing TV said it didn't look fit and Smith's took till November to get going.
Agree, odd they got Cobden for it and money for it |

Worcester today...
Gonna follow Kim Bailey and Neil Mulholland, got 3 each, both stables in form Also, Gary Brown got one in the 4.38 at a huge price which I shall have a dabble on,only because I know he likes to line one up occasionally Gl all |
By:
GL Reg. I wonder what the going will be. If they have had rain like us it will be soft/heavy.
By:
wetherby 300pm
battle of omderman price drifted out to 11/1 William Hill can't see it out first two places good/soft ideal |
By:
GL all, hoping Whizz Kid can repeat his win in this race on his first start last year (4.00 Weth). Goes well fresh, stable going fine, and hopefully Sam T-D will race prominently and be hard to peg back. Win and 3plc.

Great start again for Bailey. I thought it was weakening 4 out but just flew home. His other 2 are very short but how can you oppose them?
