If elliot Anderson gets a start for forest he's a snip
at 4.5 million. Livramento at Newcastle at 4.5 if Trippier goes. Makes it easier if you find 3 or 4 cheapies that play then you can invest in guaranteed points scorers. 15 million for haaland, tough decision this year. |

Hudson odoi could be in, but I can't afford him
without freeing up some cash from my defence. Wood is a possible, depending on pre season games. and injuries. The cash is tight this year. Defenders didn't do great last season and the bonus points have been altered to further benefit attacking players, and I'm likely going 3,4,3 or 3,5,2 most weeks so don't need 5 defenders, one will go for a cheap stock player. |

Finding Foden and Palmer early last season was key as it let's you spend more elsewhere. And increases value of squad as you evolve. |

Haaland is expensive, but if you are captaining him
then you are getting £115 million worth of players as opposed to a n other at £10 million as captain giving you a £110 million squad. It's quite a decision. |

I really like all the comps generally, Ten To Follow and such like but I've never entered the official Premier Fantasy league before because of all the gimmicky stuff, wildcards bench boost etc,that's all BS in my opinion but I see a lot of that stuff is only used once so you can sort of not bother paying too much attention to it, so I am trying hard to push myself to be ar5ed to join in.
Why can't it be a simple shoestring budget and only two players allowed per prem team and that's it. I'm a miserable grouch  |

I used to do telegraph fantasy back in the day.
24 transfers in a season, 11 man team. Then it started getting more complicated, and I stopped. also folk were multi entering 20,30,100 teams at £2 a pop. It's free to enter, but, Duffy, I'm afraid that the use of chips is vital. But it's still a good fun competition There will be 10-11 million teams entered Top million is a decent effort! |

Yeah I used to do the Telegraph one, 30 years ago, wasn't it the original, have been doing the Sun one for the last few years but that is too much the other way, too simplistic where everyone can end up with a team full of City players come the end of the season with no limit on players from any one team.

The ‘mystery chip’ is a new boost. The third one used to be that you could swap your whole team for one week only. Your team would then revert back after the week was completed. That was handy to use when there was only five matches played one week.
For the newbies I wouldn’t waste your triple captain boost early. In the latter part of the season there will be two games during some weeks. Use it then to maximise the points. |

As well as Watkins did last year he wasn't on pens. Douglas Luiz was and he's gone. I suspect Watkins is now on pens

You can find injury news and tips at Fantasy Football Scout. I didn't use that for our Euros comp though kenbo, but if you are going to play the season long game (seriously) then I'd advise using it. It'll save you a lot of time. Season long games (with transfers) are not for me. You've got to be very dedicated to do it week in week out.

I have an account with Zweeler who run a small no transfer money version (pick a 26 man squad) Obviously you need to be lucky with injuries with that. I entered last year and definitely wasn't!

There were so many injuries last season it made
transfers way too regular. This season you can carry forward up to 5 transfers. Last season I tried to play with 12 man squad and 3 cheapies who wouldn't play... Disaster!!! I was 125k 2 years ago and 1,800,000 last season. My best in telegraph was 8th!,but had 2 teams that year. |
