I've just swapped him for Amad, after his decent showing on Saturday.

He scored a few for Sunderland, so knows where the net is
if he gets a chance.

Haaland or Salah as round 1 Captain?

I don't have haaland (away Chelsea)

Salah is away to ipswich

I've captained Isak... Home to southampton
Vice captain Havertz... Home to wolves.

Midfielders get an extra point for a goal, over strikers, and chance
of bonus point for clean sheet.

But in bonus point competition a striker gets
more credit for goal than midfielder.

Salah looks to have easier game, but....

I saw one guy on twitter playing his bench boost week 1,
and wild card week 2,as fixtures are so contrary
for fpl this year.

Reckons the 5 transfers carry over make this viable.

Interesting stuff.

I was originally doing this tactic. I think the early wildcard is fair, and I'm likely use mine before GW6. However, I didn't feel like using both chips to get those bench points was worth it. I'll wait until I've increased team value and buy some great bench options later on

Barco (Brighton def) at £4m has some decent fixtures after week 3.

He could be a decent bench option at start with
a view to price rises and of course a cheap differential.

He's owned by 22% of players so perhaps not that different,...

Prices are locked until man utd game on Friday.

Fulham players, especially Minuz, Emile, and Robinson shouldn't be overlooked. Great fixtures at the start of the season

I'm still trying to squeeze a few extra expected points out of week one.

But no Haaland, who has Ipswich in week 2,so
could be last minute decision there.

Good luck to all.

Gone for both! Considered selling haaland, but there are so many cheap options I don't see the need (for the first few gameweeks, anyway).

Going with....

Raya

Pedro Porro
Alexander-Arnold
Dalot

Gibbs-White
Saka
Gordon
Son

Havertz
Muniz
Isak

Substitutes

Pickford
Hee Chan
Dunk
Andersen

A bit naff that I've got a striker (Muniz)
playing against a defender (Dalot) tonight
but three subs all have tricky away games.

Haaland on the bench seems a huge error.

I think you can improve your defence too.

Neither burn nor livramento are guaranteed to start
as Howe could easily start Trippier Schar Kelly Hall
press conference gave nowt away. I do like Livramento
and surely he will get games, and score points, but
I took him out, for players I hope actually play week 1.

My chances look better every time you post your team, Emit!!

I’m not sure how the bonus points work this year, but last year a striker would get 17 points for a hat-trick. 12 for three goals, 2 for 90 minutes and most likely 3 bonus points. For £15m I’m more than happy to leave Haaland out of this. Obviously in The Sun and all European games counting he’s a must.

Amad looked good in charity shield.

He scored plenty at Sunderland, and they've missed him.

Problem is game time. And getting starts... If you knew
he was starting he'd be a brilliant buy.

I hate it when I get 1 for a sub, I'd rather they
stay on bench.
