had a good look at your teams rip them up, start again  no good luck, I've entered mine, Salah captain the FPL geeks always do the hard work for you when it comes to cheap but good squad fillers to keep the budget down to the get the premium players in, just have to filter by '% owned', you'll see an incredible amount of similar teams because of these, that have the template, the must have players, plus the enablers. Entered into fpl, Telegraph, dreamteam, fanteam, but it's the private leagues where the big money really is for the realists. Magnus Carlsen was once at the top of the leaderboard albeit for a week, in front of about 10 million people. You should also be bookmarking this - https://www.premierinjuries.com/injury-table.php fantasy football scout is OK and give good reasoning as to their predicted line ups but they have been wrong plenty of times, they have also been very slow at times at updating team info usually when managers have given friday pressers rather than thurday's pressers, maybe the writers have enough of waiting for updates and get pissed in the pub early. If you click on each individual game it will give you the details of the game, including who’s scored the most in the rankings. The top three get 3,2 and 1 bonus points.
45 points for me with one to come, plus Palmer, Son and Sloane still to play. Would be very poor without Salah’s double points. |

Although having said that and checking the Man Utd game as an example, the highest bonus point scorer didn’t get three points!

How does FPL decide which position a player should be categorised?
Bonus points How are bonus points calculated? The three best performing players in each match according to the Bonus Points System (BPS) will receive additional bonus points. 3 points will be awarded to the highest scoring player, 2 to the second best and 1 to the third. Examples of how bonus point ties will be resolved are as follows: If there is a tie for first place, Players 1 & 2 will receive 3 points each and Player 3 will receive 1 point. If there is a tie for second place, Player 1 will receive 3 points and Players 2 and 3 will receive 2 points each. If there is a tie for third place, Player 1 will receive 3 points, Player 2 will receive 2 points and Players 3 & 4 will receive 1 point each. |

31 for me with 6 to play, could do with a Palace clean sheet for sure and something from Brennan Johnson in particular to differ from others.
First time player for me and my boy..who's 2nd but the first thing that has struck me is the need to get lucky with hitting on the right captain each week, those doubled points seem crucial to me. Incidentally his team name is "Tr1bal Medlyn" with an "I" rather than the "1" so I guess the mods don't like that word.!! |

How is the BPS score calculated?
Players score BPS points based on the following statistics (one point for each unless otherwise stated): Action BPS Playing 1 to 60 minutes 3 Playing over 60 minutes 6 Goalkeepers and defenders scoring a goal 12 Midfielders scoring a goal 18 Forwards scoring a goal 24 Assists 9 Goalkeepers and defenders keeping a clean sheet 12 Saving a penalty 9 Save 2 Successful open play cross 1 Creating a big chance (a chance where the receiving player should score) 3 For every 2 clearances, blocks and interceptions (total) 1 For every 3 recoveries 1 Key pass 1 Successful tackle (net*) 2 Successful dribble 1 Scoring the goal that wins a match 3 Goal line clearance 3 Foul won 1 Shot on target 2 70 to 79% pass completion (at least 30 passes attempted) 2 80 to 89% pass completion (at least 30 passes attempted) 4 90%+ pass completion (at least 30 passes attempted) 6 Goalkeepers and defenders conceding a goal -4 Conceding a penalty -3 Missing a penalty -6 Yellow card -3 Red card -9 Own goal -6 Missing a big chance -3 Making an error which leads to a goal -3 Making an error which leads to an attempt at goal -1 Being tackled -1 Conceding a foul -1 Being caught offside -1 Shot off target -1 *Net successful tackles is the total of all successful tackles minus any unsuccessful tackles. Selecting captain is important as it's a 12th player, and obviously
an element of luck and skill is involved... The chips are important too, as triple captain and bench boost are other opportunities to boost score. Rearranged games get added into later game weeks so a player may have 2 games in which they can be triple captained. If lots of games are rearranged then it gives an ideal week for a bench boost. You can only play one chip in any game week. Loading your team with double gamers the week before a double game week can be done via wildcard chip... All things to consider over the season. |

The Utd bonus points have been adjusted since I posted last night. Zirkee has gone from seven to eight points while Mazouri has dropped from nine to eight.

The players prices do fluctuate. In the past if you brought a player for £10m and he was now worth £10.5m, you only got £10m back when you transferred him out. Always seemed odd to me. Your team valuation could go up to £105m over a season but you gain nothing from it. |

Yeah. You could change your whole starting eleven for an extra 40 points.
Some players do it every week just to try and hit the most points scored in a week. |

You get half of the increase, but if value goes up 100k, you get 50k,rounded down to nowt. 200k increase gets you 100k. 500k should get you 200k Can be vital. Players values increase as more players transfer them in and decrease on injury and transfers out. Usually Monday is big day, I'd expect Isak to go up as he's in over half of teams. Anticipating increases and doing early transfers can backfire if player gets injured in training during week Another imponderable that brings in risk/reward/exasperation |

Have to say I thing that is a crazy rule, it should be one transfer per week regardless , who cares about a measly 4 points, that's nothing and it will only get more ridiculous as the game progresses, when a player has accrued hundreds of points they aren't going to care about paying 24 points to change 6 players. It also penalizes players who discover those gems as it will be easy for others to slot them in.
Also you don't get the full value of a price increase when a players value goes up you only get half and is it right that you don't get penalized when you sell a player that has gone down in value, you still get to sell him for what you paid for him, that's silly wrong too!!! Don't want to sound too grouchy by the way, it'll still be good fun |
