It was on this day in 1998 we went 3-0 down to Shelbourne
in a the first leg of a EUFA cup qualifying match. Th scored their 3rd goal in the 58th minute. We came back to win 5-3 but what a fright. |

Poor start for the B team with a 2-1 defeat in Edinburgh.
Losing a few players to the senior squad didn't help. Definitely a Full-house for todays game. Think there was an error in the system yesterday. |

Besiktas have confirmed Rangers are close to sealing a £4m-plus deal to sign Turkey left-back Ridvan Yilmaz, with the 21-year-old expected to have a medical and to seal a five-year contract with the Scottish Premiership club over the coming days. (Daily Record)
Ridvan Yilmaz has described his imminent move to Rangers as a "dream come true" as Besiktas confirmed that negotiations have started with the Premiership outfit over the Turkey left-back's future. (Glasgow Evening Times) |

What was the score with Spurs please?
|
|
By:
1-2.
|
|
By:
Thanks sofaking. I actually got the result on the Spurs thread. We need two good defe3nders if we're letting Harry bang in two against us. He's a good striker but nowhere near world class (IMHO)
|
|
By:
Yeah, this Rangers side shouldn't be letting the likes of Harry Kane score against them. Back to the drawing board and time for a complete overhaul of the squad.

Spurs under Conte are a different propasition now
Decent performance against a champions league side albeit only a pre season game |
|

|
By:
Yes hes a decent signing for us I think
Steep wages but can be afforded with the prem money I guess Weve done some decent business and I think weve got a chance of staying up |
|
By:
Lots of contrasting reports on what he'll be earning there. But yeah, I'd like to see Forest stay up.
|
|
By:
Could have been worse but for McGregor.
Two great strikes from Kane who is obviously on form with 5 goals from 3 preseason friendlies. Lost to the better team. Hope Spurs do well this season. |
|
By:
We shouldn't be too despondent with that result.
Missing yesterday were our 2 main strikers Morelos and Roofe. Both recovering from injury and soon to be back. Hagi another very talented player missing through injury but his recovery is some time away. From the defence Helander nearing full fitness and new signing Ben Davies will feature in the coming weeks. Mantondo looking the part already btw, think he'll terrorise a few defences this season with his speed. |

Rangers beat Queens Park 3-2 today in a closed doors friendly at Auchenhowie. Zak Lovelace bagged a brace to secure the win. ➡
Rangers XI: McCrorie, Jack, Davis, Sands (Zukowski, 65), Wright (McCann, 65), Davies (Katic, 46), Sakala, Arfield, King, Devine, Tillman (Lovelace, 65) Straight lift off from the Rangers site. Players must listed in squad number order or something. Not too hard to work out the formation. |

With the signing of Ridvan Yilmaz confirmed and
Alfredo Morelos on the verge of signing a new contract things looking good at Ibrox. Hopefully the club is trying to do the same with Ryan Kent. |

Rangers B team away to East Kilbride tonight.
They finished 4th last season so will be a hard game. |

Rangers B team a goal up after scoring in the 1st.
Were available at 8/1 at the start. |
|
By:
2-0 up after 31 mins, making a mockery of Paddys betting.
|
|
By:
Paper talk of Sheffield Wednesday and Derby interested in Kemar Roofe.
Last nights game ended up 4-3 to the Gers. 4-1 up with 10 mins to but with EKs third goal deep into injury time Rangers were never in danger. Watched the highlights on Rangers tv. Some decent goals and a decent crowd. Could be some value to be had here. |

Is Ian Durrant still involved aka at Ek, I think It's bombers mates who fund it, they have done well from little to start with.

Livingston 1 v 2 Rangers
A game we dominated from start to finish with 83% of the play. But the first half is best forgotten. We huffed and puffed without creating anything. But the second half was different class. We thought we'd equalised with a Colak header but it was ruled offside. Replays showed it was the wrong decision. We hit the post and the crossbar and were unlucky with a few more shots before Arfield equalised with a glancing header from a Kent cross. Within 2 minutes Tavernier put us in front direct from a free kick. A well deserved 3 points and a good start to the season. |

what's happened to all the old Rangers (and Celtic for that matter) boys Ak' ?
nice start for you anyway...sofascore momentum line was about as one sided as you can get, so clearly merited it despite the tight scoreline...as you said.. you winning it this year ? |
|
By:
Keep dominating like that and somone will get a right hammering

Mixed start for ex-Rangers Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey.
Here Joe scores a wonder goal away to Villarreal in a friendly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ztxk5FzIdzs Sadly for Calvin he was red carded against PSV. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOZn-_XHoc4 |

Should be a very competitive league this year.
4/6 Celtic with Rangers 5/4. I fancy Rangers strongly. We were the better team for most of last season and certainly finished it with some style. Bear in mind that Morelos, Roofe and Hagi - 3 talented players - are all missing from our set up due to injury and Hagi apart are expected to be match fit very soon. Souttar looked shaky in his competitive debut and might struggle but we have adequate cover in Helander if that proves to be the case. |
|
By:
Matondo, who looks a decent prospect, was also missing
yesterday after picking up a knock in the Spurs game. Sakala not happy and seeking talks on his future. Good honest player but going to be well down the pecking order for a place in the team this season. |
|
By:
watched Celtic aberdeen match wasn't impressed by either side, i Know it's first day out but both need to improve if they want to realise objectives
|
|
By:
"finished it with style" lol lol.Are you having a laugh? perhaps on some mind altering drugs or walking around with blinkers on or perhaps just a silly Billy.

Did that upset you SQ.
Not intended, still never mind. |
