Rangers have confirmed this afternoon that Michael Beale
will be returning to Ibrox as first team manager. From
those supposedly in the running he was the fans pick.

To date, his coaching career has seen him hold roles within the academies at Chelsea and Liverpool; as assistant manager at Sao Paulo in Brazil, and also as first-team coach at Rangers and Aston Villa before taking the QPR lead job in the summer.

Another calamitous mistake by the board who continue to refuse to open their eyes. I would like to say I hope I'm wrong but I'm not.

I will look in now and then for a laugh but chasing Celtic is not my idea of fun.

Hopefully One For The Frog can cheer me up a little in the 7:55 @ Wolverhampton.

Why are you against his appointment Stew and who would you rather have seen in the job?

Seems strange to get rid of a Manager of 7 years experience, that has won the Eredivisie title, that got little sevco to a European final and subsequently got them into the Champions League, with someone who has 6 months Managerial experience, was coach to a sevco team that could only win 1 out of 9 trophies, was sacked after 6 months as assistant manager in Brazil, lost 4 of his last 5 games in England's Championship and stabbed the QPR board and fans in the back by pledging loyalty to them then f**king off weeks later. I can only assume the sevco board hope for a Managerial bounce and to win the next old firm game thus making their title hopes a little more realistic and to get another windfall from the guaranteed Champions League place and cash this season for the winner, hell of a gamble though, and a 3 1/2 year contract for the lad? Crazy Concerning times for the worst Champions League side of all time. Happy

Good riddance to him from the QPR fans,he was waiting for this he visited the Rangers training ground around 6 weeks ago he knew it was happening which is why he never entertained Wolves or Southhampton. Pledges to stay until the seasons end and fooks off .

Not good enough for Rangers or Rangers.ExcitedLaugh

Beale was at Ibrox for the Aberdeen league match on the 29th of October.
Sat in the main stand with Conor Goldson. Never thought much of it at the
time but he was obviously being courted then.
Time will tell whether he's a good appointment or not but he does seem to
have the character to give the current players the wake-up call they deserve.

Good win for the B team last night. A 5-2 victory against mid table Broomhill.
Increased our lead at the top to 5 point with a game in hand. Was a decent
watch with some cracking goals. Here's the first from Robbie Ure, great strike.

turned out for Broomhill team but was given the
runaround by the Rangers youngsters.

Ryan Jack will be 31 when his contract expires next year.Great player but as you say Stew he is constantly injured.Would be madness to extend his contract in those circumstances.Other players out of contract include Morelos and Kent and, as neither seem keen on an extension, will leave. Both Allan McGregor and Steven Davi9s signed one year extensions last close season and I cant see them being offered anything this year. Scott Arfield Is a decent back up and should be offered something but I doubt Filip Helander will.On top of that James Sands and Malik Tillman are both on loan. We have an option to buy Sands but not sure the position with Tillman. Plenty for the new manager to contend with.

Well, little sevco had a turnover of £86.8m for the year to 30 June 2022 but only a tiny Operating Profit of £5.9m, a BIG junk of those profits went up in smoke sacking Gio and paying QPR compensation for Beale and chums. The board have projected similar accounts for 2023/24 season, so where is the money going to come from to bolster the beleaguered squad Confused Thanks to my dossier to UEFA Cool, you can't go back down the route of soft loans and share issues, as your on UEFA’s naughty list and I don’t see who can sell now to generate much cash Confused Morelos and Kent (who you paid 7 Million for) are heading for the door for free and this is McGregor's last season, furthering to your woes.

It now emerges that John Bennet says  he still is owed £8m at 6% interest and has had to make available a £10m overdraft at 5% interest just so you can still operate.

Then there’s the matter of Elite/Hummels suing you for £10 Million, which they will win, and the organisers of the Sydney Cup suing you for another  £2 Million. This money has to be set aside.

Your not winning the League this year, therefore won’t get the guaranteed CL money on offer and with a quickly withering side and no way to revitalise it, you won’t be making any inroads into Europe for the foreseeable future, which means the outlook for season 2024/25 looks bleak, very bleak indeed. Happy

If you'd like to point out where I am going wrong sir, go ahead. The projection of a small profit from your own board for season 23/24 includes the sales of the above players and CL money, but it does not take into account projected payouts, capish auld yin Confused

Not sure someone who denied their team was in decline should be challenging anyone's posts on here to be honest Plain

Congratulations and a well deserved accolade for Steven Davis.

NI captain Steven Davis to receive Queen’s University honorary doctorate
Steven Davis has 140 caps for Northern Ireland:
The Rangers midfielder and Cullybackey man is the most capped British player of all time, turning out 140 times for Northern Ireland, scoring 13 goals, and taking his side to the last 16 at the 2016 European Championship in France.
Davis, who was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the Queen’s 2017 Birthday Honours, can now add an honorary doctorate from Queen’s to his list of accolades.

Rangers chairman Douglas Park warns Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent their wage demands are ‘unattainable’

So sevco can't even afford to pay the wages of a couple 2 massively under performing players. Kent cost £7M 3 years ago and you were offered £8M for Alfie not so long ago, now both are off on a free come summer, absolutely terrible business from little sevco. Paying £4.7 for a non starter like Ben Davies and turning down £5M for 2 games in Aussie? Your just chucking money away you don't have Happy. Never mind being The Worst Champions League Team of all time, you have to be the worst financially run club in Europe as well, an absolute laughing stock.
