not a big shock no points, if they played the group again next january to march it would be well odds on no points, the opposition class above, the bigger shock was qualifying and how they made europa league final will remain a mystery forever.

Terrible record but one we just have to accept and move on.
Put it with our other, and more palatable records, such as the first team to win their league by winning every game, first team to win the Scottish treble and the first British team to reach a major European final. I know which records I'll look back on although no doubt some will bring this up but thats football for you. Good to see wee badjoe so happy, amazing what cheers some people up ![]() ![]() ![]() |

question for the Rangers Faithful.....Where do you think the Blame lays with regards the European disaster? . Manager, Players, Board or do you believe the performed was expected. Personally, I don't believe it's any fault of GVB.
|
|
By:
thanks doing ok aka, Rangers have had their bad spell, I think they can win every game from now on till the end of the season, being positive they had a good few chances last night, I thought Sellic played great for the last 3 minutes today, we will have to watch them closely
somebody blew Jotas hair and down he went just like the rest of their team. big ANGE said they should be at the top table but he refused to say which Nandos it was. . cheers. |

Rangers were always unlikely to get points from their games.
Celtic slightly better chance with shaktar in the group, but that was it. It is no surprise but it was both clubs first appearance in the group stage in many years, and both need to compete at that level every season,to have any hope to qualify for the knock out stages . |

The Scottish Media:
Depending on who you listen to or read this is whats going to happen to GVB. He has this season and stays if he wins the league. Hes got to the break. His replacement is already being worked on. He'll be off after the next loss. And numerous other variations on the foregoing. Firstly disgraceful for anybody shouting for him to be sacked. Look at last season. Won the Scottish Cup and took us to the final of the Europa League. This season he took us into the group stages of the Champions League after fighting through two difficult qualifiers. Terrible outcome but the step up in class was obvious and he had an horrendous injury list to contend with. BTW the extra income from our European games over the 2 seasons was well over £60m. For me no decision should be made until the end of the season. |

he should stay, he is a decent person and manager, its a player problem not manager.

Just to cheer us Gers men up. On this day in 1989 Maurice Johnston scored a late winner in the 2nd old firm game of the season. Mo Jo one of the few players adored by both sets of supporters. ![]() |

Terrible result. Thought we deserved at least a draw but what
an opener from St Johnstone. Lundstram thundered one from outside the penalty box that came back off the underside of the crossbar but despite the pressure, 73% possession and 20 corners we never created enough decent chances. Again Callum Davidson got his tactics right and limited the chances. Sakala who ran riot against Aberdeen back to being wasteful as were Tillman and Tavernier when he got forward. Now 7 points behind we need to beat Hearts (H) and St Mirren (A) before the WC break if we've to have any chance of catching Celtic. |

I think stewarty wrote that letter in double dutch!...a few of these guys are looking stale after a few seasons at the club..time to weed a few out!

Both Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos in the final year of their
contracts and have so far shunned all approaches to extend their time at Ibrox. Both look dispirited and I'd imagine that Rangers would let both go in the next transfer window for very little. Not sure about Barisics contract but hes in the same place as Kent and Morelos. Glen Kamara hasn't been anywhere near his best in over a year. Sakala and Wright just not good enough and Tillman (on loan) whils hes got the skills is just lazy. |

Rangers AGM is later this month. Going to be lively
and put the board and GVB under real pressure. |

By:
akabula, would you like to consider your answer regards Rangers regressing quickly? I believe your still under the impression they are good

I was there recently and was asked to leave my comments on my experience of the gaudy* establishment. So I did....
![]() *Gaudy meaning: tawdry, garish, flashy, meretricious mean vulgarly or cheaply showy. gaudy implies a tasteless use of overly bright, often clashing colours or excessive ornamentation. |

just let me finish, I forgot to mention after the St Johnstone game, then we'll see the Real Rangers. come on you Bairns. cheers.
|
|
By:
and so it begins, even if it is months after it was mentioned on here, along with the rapid decline of Rangers,
''Changing Boss midseason is tricky, good Managers aren't always available, like Beale at QPR. I'll take pelters for this, can't believe I'm saying it 1yr after he left, but IF Gio's sacked & Beale isn't available, I'd look to bring back Gerrard, McAllister, Culshaw, Mason & Milsom''. |

Quoting James Grady a third rate footballer who kept getting released.
Fantastic ![]() |
|
By:
I knew what you meant the bairn.
Always good to hear from a neutral. Talking of neutrals I thought wee badjoey would have been on but hes probably too busy analysing our accounts. |

Crucial game for GVB tonight.
2/11 Rangers --- 6/1 Draw --- 11/1 Hearts 7.45 tonight Live on Rangers TV Going for 4-1 to the Gers @ 12/1 and Tavernier to score first @ 7/1. Lose this and wee joeybhoy will be on to tell us we'll be deid this time next year> |
|
By:
I would much rather quote who you describe as a third-rate footballer who kept getting released, than someone who has never played the game, everyone is entitled to an opinion, even if it does not coincide with ours.

Tonights Team News:
RANGERS: McGregor, Tavernier, King, Davies, Barisic, Sands, Lundstram, Tillman, Matondo, Colak, Kent. SUBS: McLaughlin, Davis, Kamara, Morelos, Wright, McCann, Arfield, Devine, Yfeko. Good to see 19 yo Johnly Yfeko on the bench for the first time tonight in the league. Big lad who plays either centre back or left back for the B team where hes been starring this season. Just signed an extension to his contract and hopefully one for the not too distant future. Good also to see Borna Barisic named in Croatias world cup squad. Should do his confidence a ton of good. |
|
By:
Sakala added to our growing injury list.
The break can't come soon enough for GVB. |
|
By:
0-0 at H-T - Rangers had 56% possession with 6 shots and 1 on target to Hearts 1 and 0.
Rangers 4 corners to Hearts 2. Lundstram had a decent chance but blasted it over the bar. |
|
By:
A much needed victory but Sands now an injury worry.
Well worked move for Tillman to slip home. St Mirren away on Saturday another must win. |
|
By:
Great prematch displays last night.
