first to correctly call the rapid decline of Rangers this season
first to correctly call the exit from Europe first to correctly call the league campaign being over before November first to express concerns over GVB position even if it's the players not the manager now it's time to call time on this thread, it's a dead thread may be the loan poster talking to their self from now, it's done. The End |

Genuine question. Why are you so interested in Rangers?
|

I heard Kris Boyd say today that Gios time is up.
Not a mention of the horrific injury list hes had to work with. We missed today for instance; From the back four Helander, Souttar, Yilmaz and Goldson. From the attack Hagi, Roofe, Lawrence and Colak. We could have won the match at the death bar for a good save from the St Mirren keeper. One other observation, cool-hand-luke is an obsessed tw@t Stroll on troll. |

Good 4-1 win for the B team against Boness today.
Leaves them 2 points clear at the top with 2 games in hand. Good competitive league this season with only 3 points separating the top 6 teams albeit Rangers have played 2 games less than the other 5. |

i like gio seems nice lad and was a brilliant player but he's up against it now, he's not going to pull Celtic in, probably better off, if he gets his pay off.
|
|
By:
Celtic are 10s on and it's just half way, they have better players and more cash, looks over nearly to me.
|
|
By:
Celtic are gone sadly
I did think you’d challenge after the Europa heroics last season |
|
By:
and celtic are not good team
|
|
By:
There’s not a lot between the pair
Just confidence at the minute, Celtic have momentum |
|
By:
9 points and have superior gd by big margin but you never know in fitba

Firstly Clancy and VAR.
https://twitter.com/i/status/1591772345366380545 Player stretchered off and not even a foul given. Couldn't wait to book Ryan Kent for a dive when everyone in the stadium saw the contact. Thank goodness for VAR in that instance. |

Really sickens me to the core to see the pile-on on
twitter amongst Rangers supporters and ex-players. Yes we're in a poor position in the league but its a terrible reaction from everybody. Takes us to the EL final, first time since2008, and wins us the Scottish cup, first time since 2009,. Then takes us into the group stages of the CL, the first time since 2010. 14, 13 and 12 years ago respectively. FFS hardly dripping in success in the intervening years with Stevie Gs league win the sole success. But I suppose thats football for you. GL Gio whatever. |

agree aka always another day in fitba, but it's a harsh game, and sometimes you don't get that chance you deserve

The Scottish media:
(lifted from twitter - I don't buy their garbage) Sunday - A severance package has been agreed and Rangers will announce Gios departure at noon tomorrow. Monday - Rangers board have lost confidence in Gio. Today - The Rangers board still have confidence in Gio. Can't believe a word a journalist in Scotland says. Easiest job in the world with no skills required. Maybe with the exception of Tom English and he's Irish, born in Limerick. |

I 100% agree re journalist in Scotland absolutely the lowest form of scum in our society. Can not count how many lies these parasites concoct on not a daily basis virtually every min of every day.Pure and utter filth. |

Our next competitive game is Hibs at Ibrox in the league
on Thursday the 15th December at 8.00pm. On the Saturday before that we host Bayer Leverkusen in a friendly with a 1.00pm kick-off. Be interesting to see how busy Ibrox is for that. Far from a full house I expect. |

Straight across the industry.I wouldn't even call it a profession.SCUM

By:
Tom English is a bag of wind..a sight of a rugby ball and he's off...quite enjoyed his spats with Michael Stewart though
|
|
By:
Janis Hagi should be back early in the New Year.
Still no statement from the board on GVB so could go either way. Morelos being linked with Fenerbahce, hes done at Ibrox so the sooner he goes the better. |

Good win for Rangers Under 16s today in the Club Academy Scotland League Cup final.
Streamed live by the SFA on Youtube from the Falkirk Stadium. Rangers opened the scoring thanks to a wayward pass (Joe Hart style) from Celtics goalie and raced into a 3-0 lead before Celtic pulled one back at the close of the half. A goal from each team in the 2nd half saw Rangers lift the cup with a 4-1 win. Was a good watch with both teams going at it until the final whistle. |

I doubt if anyone is interested Aka but I did say a few posts back that the under 20's or whatever should be given a chance imo. Even if we lose the league by twenty points at least we can see the chiff from the chaff so to speak because the first team squad is torture to watch....at best imo. |

GVB sacked today. The board now looking for a replacement.
Total madness given what he achieved for the club in his time in charge before hitting this bad run. Apart from his successes he generated about £70m extra income for the club. £100m if you include the Bassey and Aribo transfers. All done despite an horrendous ever growing injyry list. I thought Douglas Park would have stood by him and given GVB until the end of the season. |

Next manager betting on oddschecker;
Best odds listed. 2/1 Michael Beale 4/1 Sean Dyche 10/1 Kevin Muscat 12/1 Ralph Hasselhuttl 16/1 Steven Gerrard 20/1 Gennaro Gatuso 25/1 Duncan Ferguson 25/1 Kevin Thomson 25/1 David Martindale 25/1 Callum Davidson Michael Beale would be the fa ns choice but Gattuso would be interesting. |

I assume even the board agree with my very early assumption.
FFS somebody give CHL the wee pat on the back that hes desperately looking for. ![]() |
|
By:
Inside info for you suggests Michael Beale has already told his QPR team that he is in it for the long run with them...However money can be a deciding factor in influencing anyone.
Inside info ![]() ![]() then tells us Michael Beale isn't coming but adds he might come though. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
|
By:
I would imagine, sorry no inside info from me, that the board will have already identified who they want.
It wouldn't surprise me either if an approach has already been made and even accepted. |

Kheredine Idessane has been given two names that are in the running for the Rangers job after the sacking of Giovanni van Bronckhorst on Monday 21 November.
BBC journalist, Idessane, shared on Twitter that the likes of Sean Dyche and Kevin Muscat are two names being considered by the club. More inside info? Both names, along with Michael Beales, have done the rounds on social media since doubts were first cast over GVBs future. |

In fact the exact opposite. Here's how I see it. The board should have given Gio more time. He knows exactly what he has on his hands and even trophy less this season he would have identified the dead wood we need to get rid of and more importantly where we need to strengthen the current squad. A new manager will go round in circles trying to figure out what Gio already knows. As it happens we now need a new manager, a helluva mistake imo. As I said, there is no one on that list fit to manage such a huge club. If it were left to me the board should try, even beg to get Souness back on a three year contract. Not as implausible as one might think. |
|
By:
* One other thing. When the new manager arrives his first job has to be getting rid of Ryan Jack. Reason? Simple. A talented player but one who will continue to be plagued by injuries. We cannot afford to pay a player £1,000,000 per season and hope we get twenty games out of him.
|
|
By:
Forget Souness, he had heart surgery a few years back and wouldn't want the stress.
Rumour has it that the board are keen on Michael Beale but with the caveat that he accepts Kevin Thomson as his assistant. Would be a good combination but I think Beale would want his own man. |
|
By:
Ryan Jack will be 31 when his contract expires next year.
Great player but as you say Stew he is constantly injured. Would be madness to extend his contract in those circumstances. Other players out of contract include Morelos and Kent and, as neither seem keen on an extension, will leave. Both Allan McGregor and Steven Davi9s signed one year extensions last close season and I cant see them being offered anything this year. Scott Arfield Is a decent back up and should be offered something but I doubt Filip Helander will. On top of that James Sands and Malik Tillman are both on loan. We have an option to buy Sands but not sure the position with Tillman. Plenty for the new manager to contend with. |
|
By:
Michael Beale 4/7 at best on oddschecker and as low as 1/4 with some.
|
|
By:
Better with Ian Beale
|

TalkSport saying they've been told by a QPR source that
Rangers have made a formal approach to QPR. Heart & Hand podcast saying 'its all but done' David Edgar normally on the money with all things Rangers. |

i've no idea who will get that job although i think beale is way too short, unless joe is right and he's about to be sacked anyway at current job.
I think the market is bookies benefit. It wouldn't surprise me if it's a temp manager till end of season, but why sack Gio then ?, but who knows ? |
