I've seen Duminy bat well too. Surprised how poor he is at times. Can be so useful with his off spin too! Glad he is playing well again

Problem with being in a huge draw hole early is it stops me trading. Just one more session without a wicket and I may be back up! I have at least had some fairly crazily high price backs which have paid off although with the usual proviso that you can't be too ambitious with the associated lay.

JP...only 4 hundreds and 7 50's from 32 test's and he looks like banging in a 100 against Juce!

Hope farfar kept his Aus lay at 1.4. Wish I'd had one, really. Stubborn prices here, aren't they? Would have expected a bit more movement out of a wicketless session although I can see why the market doesn't quite believe in the draw yet. A few quiet overs after lunch and it will start though.

I think in the first innings those balls were finding the sdeg and going to fielders. Aus looked clinical but luck plays a big part too. Starc has not bowled that well since the first session of the match. Hazlewood has been the pick for me.

If Duminy starts to smack around his mate Lyon, that will really make jucel's day.

They had two on day one in I think it was the first Sri Lanka test after 5 early wickets.

I need it to get to 4! I will be pretty good if it gets there, let alone down to my last lay at 3.5 though. Still would only be a bit under £1.5k all green though. I've been in a very deep hole since SA lost that 4th wicket, let alone when they lost the second in the second innings. I'm still losing 3k to a collapse straight after lunch.

Thought you might but I couldn't think of one either. Were a few in 2010/11 against Cook and various other England batsmen. Can't think of a more recent one off top of head.

It doesn't know Steyn is injured, although seems slightly high even then. Market has a little over 60, which feels a little low to me but have to bear in mind that missing Steyn will keep SA cautious. Even if they get past tea only 3 or 4 down they won't try to push along too much, although of course de Kock can only bat to score once he's in (hopefully after lunch tomorrow from my point of view).

Oops. Every now and again you get fixed by a player you've never rated, which is doubly galling. Does Lyon only take wickets when you don't want him to?

As I said, draw has come right in without a wicket early after the resumption. Shame I only got my last lay matched just after lunch or I'd have bought more over the interval but was just too deep already to be that risky. Market thinks this is flat and draw could be in single figures soon. Another 3-4 overs?

Crashing like a stone. Draw was 17 over lunch, now 9 less than 25 minutes after. Hoping it will go further but has to be a bit of resistance for a while now you'd think. Very little money up around 9s so I moved my lay down a bit. Bet I miss it now.

This is almost certainly my pocket talking but I can see the draw coming back under 10s, just possibly even a fair way down from there. It needs some prospect of SA batting the game dead by lasting another 4 sessions or ideally a little over. They will certainly aim to do that, as there is loads of time left to get plenty of runs ahead and no advantage in pushing the scoring rate towards a declaration, partly because of the time and partly because of Steyn's injury. It's still an utterly massive ask, of course, requiring some huge contributions from at least two batsmen and probably a few others to chip in. For the game to be drawn Aus would then have to last four or more sessions themselves but the draw will probably be under 3 by then as if SA survive forever, market will reckon Aus will also be able to without Steyn. Course far more likely we never see the draw anywhere even near 20 but we can hope.

He's cost me thousands. I do bet against Australia a fair bit but it's more than that, it's as you say, wickets when the draw is on the move and I'm about to go green etc.

Hmm, draw stalled a bit but can't really complain. Couple more quiet overs would suit me well. Loving Elgar's work here. Grinding them down is the way in the heat, with Starc a little impaired especially.

Thanks. I am still over £2.5k red on results so though so not exactly brilliantly placed. Problem is that I was in a huge draw hole then made it a little deeper before SA lost their first wicket so needed this kind of thing just to get vaguely back in the market. If I'd only thought of it once the draw was at 60s I'd have been in clover!

Got this game so wrong it's unbelievable.

Hmm, wouldn't be all that keen. Obviously you're right that there's a load of time left but this looks very flat. The key point is Steyn being missing. There won't be any kind of a carrot dangled. Course even if SA bat to middle of the afternoon session tomorrow and set 550 you could get out of gaol from a draw lay by them bowling Aus out in that time but you could be staring at a very short draw by then.

Not so sure I want all this'll attacking. Read my posts about how you need to grind them down SA!

With Aus being the home side, they will be expected to be able to draw the game if it goes the distance, especially with SA's 3 frontline bowlers

New ball due slogger.

Just want to clear the decks again to pave the way for a SA buy if there are wickets and a huge draw lay if there aren't

Layed Aus at 4.3 so want to clear that at 4.9 before the new ball
