lets stick to talking about cricket!
where's your money? |

If i was having a bet now it would be on SA without a doubt as i think they are a shade too big, however i take on board the earlier comments that market loves aus. I've backed SA at the start of their second innings, my dilemma is i think they are too big,but equally given market love the aus, i think there will be plenty of oppurtunities to buy back at a bigger price

I agree with that. I am itching to buy back SA but feel I will get a better price tomorrow just before the 37C heat kicks in!

I had some peanuts backing SA at 3.4. Layed Aus big prematch 2.11 and then topped up at 1.4. Thought id done my nuts so didnt bother cashing out and prayed for a miracle and at the same time decided not to wake up for the game.
Had two dreams last night(I always dream about the game if i have some open bets). In the first one Aus had posted 544-4. In the second one they were all out for 320. Woke up post tea and prayed for the later dream to be true. Opened cricinfo and it said 'SA build lead after bowling fightback'. Have already cashed out for a decent green. Wont trade much in this game from here on, at least no big bets. |

Shortly after stumps Aus went down to 1.92. I've done some decent overnight trading which requires staring at a screen when nothing is happening. Its pure drudgery but it has made the hole I'm in less deep. Wish the draw would come in more that would be a great help.

I'm also sleep deprived but if thats what it takes to avoid a maximum loss I'll do it.

If that crack opens up, it won't be until later this afternoon, and SAF should have 60 overs of decent batting conditions. I'd expect them to make 300 and maybe more. Of course we could see another collapse, leaving Aus with a not too difficult chase. But i'm betting on SAF making the runs. If SAF do as I expect, my reds should be down to a few hundred.

detraveller 04 Nov 16 22:41 I had some peanuts backing SA at 3.4. Layed Aus big prematch 2.11 and then topped up at 1.4. Thought id done my nuts so didnt bother cashing out and prayed for a miracle and at the same time decided not to wake up for the game. I think TMB might be part right about us after all! I did nigh on the same thing days 1 and 2! I cleared Aussie red last night although was sorely tempted to let it ride as usual. I just bought some SA back as the two decent bowlers were taken off. This is a good lead now and with the bounce looking a little uneven could be difficult for Aus to chase. May top up on wickets dependeing on what the ball / pitch is doing. I did think the market might support Australia more on the Assumption they would assume that if SA got runs this morning the pitch is ok to bat on. |

That crack is causing some problems. Should be worse tomorrow.

By:
Too many Aussie backers holding the price down
|

By:
Mitchell Marsh is half the player Ben Stokes is, he'll be gone soon.
|
|
By:
bugger, the draw is coming in to offset the runs being scored without loss of wickets! My caution cost me 20% to buy back but that in my view is oprudent financial management if a tad cowardly!

150 lead only 2 wickets dropped, 1.8 SA is surprising!

By:
Wickets can and have in the past fallen in clumps at Perth.
They will need 350/400 to be 1.8 at the change of innings. |
|
By:
Yeah exactly, and Aus did chase down over 400 not too long ago. They tend to pull of the unthinkable.
|
|
By:
Just like trying to back against England. They have relentless backers
|
|
By:
Good point Juce but I am thinking they can bowl long spells if neccessay and wickets are going down. It is a state of the game call and the pitch will shirley get a little trickier. It does look like they are aiming for the crack too. It is not the WACA pitch that SA scored 400 on, ashley it is but not the same condition!
I am liking the umbrella's! It is hot ! Tough Aussie men in the sun! |
|
By:
we really get gonna something close to evens saffers with a 350 lead ? know big scores have been chased here before but this is a very average oz batting line up. only 2 wickets you really need to get and the weakest middle order they've fielded in 25 years at least. marsh and nevill are hopeless

cooler Mon and Tues. Tomorrow may hit 32C?
Cleared Aus red again for prudence while Starc is on! |
|
By:
Why is the price breaking when Starc is on? That I do not understand!
A wicket now and SA are back to evens! |
