Finn will be a big miss for England.  The intensity of 4 front line bowlers makes a lot of difference.  Bresnan is a trooper but relativelly speaking a cart horse on these wickets.

I have half a mind to jump the draw pre test.  If England win the toss I'd say the game is up for India.

The smart people as usual; are right, wait and see but I can't help myself.

Small on the draw opening gambit.  I'll throw in a fianchetto lay of india if they lose the toss.

If Finn is out the chances of a draw increase for me.

For me it's again a case of wait and see. No need to rush in before the off, or even before the end of the first day's play.

The problem I have with laying the draw early doors is that this is an outcome that would suit England just fine.

Imagine the scenario . . . If they got in, lost few wickets and were able to rattle up a big first innings lead (batting either first or second) of anything like 500-600 runs with Cook in consummate control, there would be no need whatsoever to make an early declaration and give India the slightest glimmer.

If someone held a gun to my head and said bet before the toss, I'd lay India.

Good luck all.

I've laid India pre-toss is I think their price will drift miles if England bat first.  India batting first will probably bring it in but not a damaging amount.

Root for Patel could be a horror pick in such an important game. Root fluffed his lines on finals day.
Looked very nervous and choked.

Seems a strange decision.  Why throw him in for such a crucial match when Samit has been doing OK with the bat?

Morning. Ah! England won the tossHappy. Scenario 1 comes out, predicted India to be 2.8/2.9, but its 3.2/3.25, more than I thought, obviously. "Indian money" less "patriotic" than normal, I think.

Lively looking pitch - might back India initiallyShockedShocked - could go crazy with early wicket, but India price is going out as I type (3.45). Slightly confused, traditional patterns not being followed.

Brits getting up late (like me) and laying India?

India goes odds on if Cook gets out.  This could be more laughable than the team selections!

Trott should have been out lb to sharma!

England might struggle on this pitch.  Trott and cook have right mental apptitude to bat all day, I'm not sure about the others.  This is a Sehwag wicket though.

Layed india at 2.5 prematch

Seen this pitch backed them back at 2.62 with everything

And then layed draw heavy at 3.55

Glad i got up early now

whats the chances of this going 5 days? looks a bit innocuous at the moment but starting to take reverse swing, if england can score 300, the england seamers should have a field day on day 2, then on day 3 it should start to do tricks for the spinners..over in 4 days imo
