my view will be from an armchair firmly resting on the fence as I'm not betting on the race
but I think Avonnova's worth a few bob at those odds |

exactly craig......like I keep saying it's a great story......and you hardly see any free legged pacers these days
I've always been a fan of them.........I can't remember one that raced in NSW since the 1980's |

Hats off to the Avonnova cheer squad. Big win. A bit of humble pie for me and I will finish it if he takes the Miracle Mile. Still an outstanding buy and you blokes have been in his camp for some time. Nice work!

|
By:
very well played leftie, hats off to you......but its Craig who deserves it, he kept the faith....I didn't back him tonight as all the Trittons worried me
|
|
By:
thanks Leftrightout (and village) i did 5 star rate your reply Left
we all can get things wrong - somewhere in this thread i said northview punter may be contesting group 1's and last night it couldn't place behind whos mistake in a run of the mill FFa |
|
By:
no worries, you have to say when you got it wrong (as I did well and truly here) and you should get a wrap when u get it right. Tuesday will be great and the Miracle Mile should be awesome too. Really hoping Dexter Dunn can produce something good on Tuesday. Talking through my kick as it would be a big effort for TTL to win again

what about that NZ meeting during the week
looked like Oakbank on steroids and the ocean as a backdrop |
|
By:
Should be a ripper race as per usual, however the team driving possibilities if they eventuate could prevent it from being a great spectacle.

Just watched the replay, another tactical "gem" of a drive from that "gun" driver Panella, I seriously doubt if she could even spell the word tactics, let alone have any comprehension of its meaning. Well done Craig by the way, hope you got plenty.

Craig the meeting you refer to is Kiakoura Cup day, it's a small coastal town a couple hours north of Christchurch famous for Crayfish, Seals and Whale watching
they have one meeting a year and last Monday was the 100th Anniversary, it always brings back a flood of memories There are some excellent surf breaks nearby to the north and south and I first surfed there when I was 12 as a teenager we would try to sleep on the hay in the barns at the track but most times we would get busted and kicked out every trot fan should have Cup Day at Addington on their bucket list and ideally get there early to fit in Kiakoura Cup day Cup day in Christchurch is something special, unlike Melbourne Cup day it's not just about one race, the races on that day have remained the same for as long as I can remember with the Junior FFA (used to be the Firestone FFA), the Trotting FFA and the 3yo Sires Stakes not to mention the body painting ![]() |
