Is there any empirical evidence as to why Ennis is aslow as 2.94? Can't all be c0ck backing shirley?

I don't have a clue Bails.  Unless Tyson punches her in the head it's Muzza  - Sinfield/Fury for me

The new telegraph poll showed quite well for her at first, but 3rd behind Muzza and Fury now

Just swiped the cash at 3.high for Fury t3. He'll beat Hamilton, then it's just one of Jess or Sinner he needs to beat

How new is new? I have just hit my 20 "free" torygraph views for this month checking out record of previous polls...pretty good as I thought they were. She is 5th on the one I'm looking at on 220 votes to Murray's 685...that an old one. Going by DM comments she has no chance. Athletes tend to get actual votes slightly above poll ratings but not enough surely?

The athlete advantage negated by the drug controversy?  Maybe

The new poll just today.  She's caught up a lot, but nowhere near enough when you factor in Scotland for Muzz

Fury looks a bit hacked, but still doing well

He did win the unified world heavyweight boxing championship to be fair to the homophobic psychopath. Need to view new one on my other laptop. He is attending this year which must help. Plus he's p1ssing it on the DM comments. 1.92 seems value to me.

Thanks...Froome has slipped. I can't see any momentum for Sinfield on twitter so not surprised he has fallen off the cliff...was clear second in the poll. Petrol heads always a force to be reckoned with so he could nick a place.

Reading the DM comments is a black art...gone off the boil with specials lately but I'll take it to twatter any day.

Froome no chance, the broadsheets will overstate his appeal

Personally I wouldn't use twitter for sinfield, the campaign seemed to be on facebook

The first poll hacked by sinners

He was nowhere at first

ah right...had £20 on him at 25/1 just in case there was a push for him. Not going to happen. DM is useful even when its wrong because it confirms the impact of fee app voting.

[i]Ennis-Hill 'close 2nd favourite'?? For what?? Winning a race after having a baby?? Surely Rutherford deserves to be among the favourites this year!!

Green 63 Red 13

Legend. Murray is head and shoulders above the rest. Easily.

Green 78 Red 7

I'd rather have middle england on my side than not especially in a non app vote

Free app vote and Muzza would totally piss up. This requires a bit more effort of course.  Should imagine he'll still piss up

Is there a female vote? Ennis the only contender.
By:

Of course there is, but it mostly goes to Muzza imo

Odd that you should think women vote for women Bails

They did once, but only to get a royal past a shitfaced golfer

Aren't most women who like sport lesbians? Fury told me they were.

Jess Ennis-Hill deserves this more than anyone. Andy Murray has done well but was part of a team that won the David Cup. Ennis-Hill's achievement isn't just impressive because of the fact she gave birth, but she carried a baby for 9 months and would have had to juggle the life of a mother with sleepless nights and everything else with getting back into shape to compete, let alone win the world championship heptathlon Gold. 7 different events as opposed to hitting a tennis ball repeatedly or driving around a race track repeatedly. Can we really say that someone has overcome the odds in such a remarkable way?

Using the "bear test" if you can't explain why she should win in three words she's fecked
By:
GeorgeBrush

She only won because a superior girl stepped on some plasticine brain

If you insist on going into the details

Murray practically was the Davis Cup team.. he won 11 of the 12 pts that team GB scored

it was more of a one man band than a team effort

Applying the "bear test" recent previous winners have:

.Won FI championship
.Won Wimbledon
.Won Tour de France and Olympic Gold
.Won the hearts of the racing fraternity

Now we have:

.Won Davis Cup v .Won a Gold in a minority interest sport riddled with drugs

Bullet points to assist bear keep up with his own test Grin

GeorgeBrush - its details that form reasons.

Bardo - fair point, but did he do anything out of the norm that got them the win? granted, he played amazing tennis but i'm concerned his push is because we haven't won the Davis Cup in such a long time. Should he be pushed because of previous failures?

I'll say it again - can we really say that someone has overcome the odds in such a remarkable way that she has?

wimmin watch tennis, eat strawberries, and cakes, and love it when we win anything for it.

hate football, cricket, golf, fighting, and races be they on foot, in water,  on wheels, or on horseback
except the grand national.

She beat a poor field, given the fav pulled out

Who had the 'greatest achievement'?   Fcks knows

Physically Froome.   Strength wise Fury .

Personally I don't think returning from a baby in 13 month is as impressive as what Pavey did
