Mate of mine lives in Yorkshire and the whole county is getting behind big KeV. R league boys see this as a massive chance to big up their sport. Local radio etc detailing how to sign up for all etc. Be warned, you all need to add him to portfolio if not done so yet.notice that he's made up massive ground overnight on telegraph poll too.

dont forget that in SPOTY 2013 Leigh Halfpenny only came 2nd to murray with 66,000 votes  9 % of the vote despite the fact that he had the whole of wales and many neutral rugby fans behind him

Halfpenny was both player of the tournament in both the Lions series that summer V Australia and also player of the tournament in the 2013 6 Nations

given the fact that both Rugby Union and Halfpenny both have a much wider profile than Sinfield and rugby league i think its safe to say that while Sinfield has a good chance of being in the top 3 , theres no way that he can realistically win because Murray is so much more well known than him.. plus Murrays achivement is in itself worthy of the prize

Murray won SPOTY in 2013 by a landslide, he had 401,000 odd votes which was 55 % of all votes

My top 3 for this year

1 Murray
2 Sinfield
3 Fury

Every available poll I have looked at has Murray well ahead... .. he is still available at a best price of 4/5

you wont get a better chance before christmas to almost double your money

Sinfield is going to have a big, big shout in this.

Yorkshire and the rugby league world are rallying behind him - see link below. To me it is just like Ryan Giggs all over again when Man Utd fans combined. It doesn't a take a lot of votes to win this, not like X-Factor.  I even think he will vie for favouritism on the night!

The I see it is that the Davis Cup excitement will wear off, Murray will be in Miami and people will say he has won it before...hence Rugby going in big on Sinfield.

World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has again gone on the offensive
after being accused of making homophobic and sexist comments, calling
the thousands of people who have signed a petition demanding his removal
from the BBC Sports Personality of the Year shortlist "50,000 w-----s".

Fury, who stunned Wladimir Klitschko to win the WBA, IBF and WBO belts
last weekend, insists he would be the only worthy winner even if he has little
interest in the award.

In a thinly-veiled swipe at Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton and
Davis Cup winner Andy Murray, Fury told IFL TV: "I can honestly say I'm not
really interested in winning BBC Sports Personality of the Year.

"I know for a million per cent I've got more personality in the end of my little
finger than the whole of the nomination group put together. And everybody
knows that. Everybody in the country knows that.

"I've got more personality in my little toe than they've all got put together so
if it comes to personality there's only one winner. If it comes to sporting
achievements there's only one winner.

@J_Ennis if I'm going to get in trouble for giving a woman a compliment what has
the world come to, I said u look fit in a dress?

— Gypsy King (@Tyson_Fury) December 4, 2015

I've got more personality than all the other competitors put together,in this
years @BBCSPOTY who can compete with my sporting achievement!!
— Gypsy King (@Tyson_Fury) December 4, 2015

"What personality does it take to drive a car around a track 100 times or hit a ball
back and forth. That's not very personality is it?"

When questioned about the petition demanding his removal from the nominations,
Fury added: "50,000 w-----s. That's what I say about them. If anybody else wants
to add to them they can add to their numbers can't they."

The 27-year-old also reiterated his views on women after earlier saying that Olympic
champion Jessica Ennis-Hill "slaps up good" and "looks good in a dress", adding that
"a woman's best place is in the kitchen and on her back".

He said in the latest interview: "I'm a little bit backward. I didn't really go to school.
Which part of a woman looks good in a dress is sexist?

"Or was it about the cooking and cleaning? I stand up for my beliefs. My wife's
there [standing alongside Fury]. Her job is cooking and cleaning and looking after these kids.
That's it.

"She does get to make some decisions. What she's going to cook me for tea in a
bit when I get home. That's the decisions what she gets to make. That's my beliefs,
just like I believe in Lord Jesus Christ as my lord and saviour and if anyone wants
to dispute that let them do it. Am I bothered? No.

"My belief is that my wife should be at home looking after my kids and cooking and
cleaning. She's a very privileged woman to have a husband like me. Not everyone's
in her position but the ones who are are very lucky. That's my opinion."

Just to recap, I stick by anything I've said in the past, 10000% being the heavyweight
champion makes no difference to me, I'm a roll model

— Gypsy King (@Tyson_Fury) December 6, 2015
Asked if he was a role model, he said: "People should look up to me. Young kids.
I am a good role model. I'll show them how men should really be. Real men. And
kids can take note from that. I am a good role model. Lots of kids look up to me.

"This week has taught me that when you're at the top of the world everybody wants
to bring you down. But they're never going to do it."

The heavyweight champion, who is due to face Klitschko in a rematch next year, also
insisted he was unfazed by the criticism this week, telling the doubters to "suck my balls".

Any news paper who don't like @Tyson_Fury or what he stands for can F...off. His views
are my views one blood" one family!!
— peter fury. (@peterfury) December 5, 2015

"I'm not really interested to be honest," he said. "They can say what they want about me
but they can't knock my achievement. I beat the man who nobody can beat. So until
someone can go in and beat him again then they can suck my balls.
"I am Tyson Fury, Gypsy King, nuff said."

Believe me this is going to be Kevin Sinfield running very, very close. 12/1 is a nice xmas bonus in my book.

Leeds Rhinos article (below) shows 1.2m reach and 200,000 views of promo video.

Rugby league fans will be going mad and voting multiple times per person.

i think the difference with sinners voters will be, the whole house will be voting for him...every member of family down to 10th cousins will be drafted into vote
the ongoing fury debacle, weakens murray core voters..as they side with ennis
sin fishing out of his own lucrative pool, whereas the murray and ennis fighting for the same signatures

i'll make a call now
the passion behind the sin campaign is blood thirsty
he wins very, very easily imo

best value money can buy right now
come the 20th he'll be fav

"no messi or ronaldo, a woman swimmer and  djokavic, they must be
making it easy for usain,
"

She won't win but Katie Ledecky is an absolute monster and further ahead of the rest of the world, then anyone else in a major sport.  She is so fast that she would be the number 1 ranked male swimmer at 1500m in something like half the countries in Europe.  I doubt there is any woman in a physical sport that has ever come as close to their male counterparts as Katie and she's only 18.  She fully deserved being on the shortlist.

no knocking her ability, but she isnt as well known as lionel messi , who
has been left off the list as has ronaldo

shes over 50 seconds off mens 1500m record, 14.31 to 15.25

doesnt strike me as being that much closer to men than other sports women,
but she has plenty of room to improve being young.

just checked the market for the first time in over a month and surprised to see Muzza so short. Sports fans will appreciate the achievement of winning the Davis Cup but this contest has very little to do with sport and most voters have either never heard of the davis cup or don't rate it. Can't see Muzza winning this, deserves to, but can't see it.
