I liked it, and it was better than I was expecting from similar covers on youtube but I said on the IR thread - it wasn't voter friendly.

changing a song every week (and ultimately sounding the same every week) is overdoing it and being a bit pretentious tbh

Squares is right though GB - I think this put paid to her chances as much as voter apathy...

Yeah I'm sure, bit of both

And James doing a similar thing, but doing it a whole lot better.

Still massive green on all of them no doubt George!  I dunno how you do it. Wink

I'm just saying I still liked her and what she was doing

Henry - I agree with you.  A combination of losing the plot and losing control over the Rylan / Chris situation.  Trying to be too clever for their own good...

Certainly not green on UJ and Rylan Lou

Lou - it is possible to back several runners and still make a profit!

I thought she should have made the final and possibly even won it.  To go out with Rylan left in it is just not right IMO.

Going into last night's show my order of green was 1) Chris, 2) James, 3) Jahmene, 4) Ella (although 3 and 4 were roughly equal).  Small loss on UJ, massive loss on Rylan (unbacked).  So losing Ella still hurt.  I thought I had the final four nicely covered...

I think with a mixture of standards/classics - ballads and uptempo, done pretty straight, Ella would still be in the competition.

Oh I know but where do you buy the crystal ball that tells you 'buy' something now and 'sell' it later.  And it's never wrong.

Imagine if I had one!!!  We could all retire rich.

People working at it - for a living, the harder they work, etc.

Daily Star is proving to be quite a good crystal ball substitute though Lou!

Certainly helped me limit the damage on Ella...

Same old shyte every time Lou. Why are the regulars still here?

You notice I was tipping Ella for b2 before the Star leak if you look close enough
By:

You were indeed GB.  There were signs that her star was on the wane, not shining brightly enough, for anyone who follows these things closely...

But elimination was still a shock!

I may have a few sly digs when Baloney and James are testing spudkid in the final Wink

Oh they've got a chance granted but (let's see if he can be honest here folks are you ready?)

If you had to tip the winner from here to win a million pounds who would you pick.  If it were me , all things considered I'd go for Jahmene.

And you ....................................

Dunno. And that usually serves me well.  Baloney could win if Tulisa savages him, James can win if they have a megaramp

"and more was done to "soften" up James along the way"

True, but if they want him as a "credible" artist they'll have to return him to the rapping and the epileptic groaning. And of course to be "credible" he can't win XF.

Jahmene can win if they ramp him like they have every week so far OC

George

But the question was "If you HAD to"

I had to so went Jahmene

What about you??

Yes, Tulisa and Louis have to be careful - last night, mostly on Xtra i think, they were being pretty abusive about Chris voters (who's voting for him?", "why are they voting for him?", etc.) yet no problem with Rylan voters.

You don't have to. This is the difference between my MO, and yours

I don't have a clue who will win, so cover all the threats

Another area where they've lost the plot really - acts can conform during the series and revert afterwards.  JLS, for example.  Not many successful acts to come out of XF have really carried on in the same vein thereafter.

I would put it on the act who gave me the best reason to want to pick up the phone and actually vote. The reason however may not be because they had the best vocals, however to answer your Q right now all things considered I would put it on Chris because there is a very good chance I could trade it and have a risk free shot at making a £1m, backing Jahmene would mean making less than a million and it wouldnt be w/o risk.

Squares / Henry,

The softening up of James is working a treat in my view - and his performances are on the right side of credible still (Hometown Glory being the most notable example).  Doubt we'll see any of the rapping return now, especially with Abba / Motown next week!

So in a word then Jahmene

Lou - weren't you gloating about tipping up the Jahmene / Ella straight forecast just last week?!  Even if Jahmene wins, 1st and 6th isn't a great result from the 1st & 2nd fav!

Lou which part of my response suggested I would put the £1m on jahmene?

In a word 'none'

Ok answer this.

If you couldn't lay any off at all, you were on a quiz show perhaps.

They said who will win the X Fcator final 2012 from here and we'll give you £1,000,000 if you pick the winning act.  Of the 5 left who would you HONESTLY pick?

You know my record on here and I've done it again.  Even you're seething now which is a shame.  Liked you.

No more PM please.

Not seething at all Lou - but you said there were only two possible winners and to this point all you have tipped up is someone who finished in 6th place!

Even if Jahmene has always been your main hope you've turned overnight from an Ella supporter to one that is gloating that she's left the competition, deriding her backers in the process...  And that's just disingenuous.
