If Stormont is unionist - fine
If it’s not , not fine …

So it's ok for the union to discriminate against NI.

England take on the greatest burden and responsibility of any part
of these islands .. not helped by the anti British elements living within
And also not helped by the politicians etc .. it’s a heavy burden
Remember that and stop undermining Britain

So the discrimination from Westminster is acceptable.

Akabula, I hope is well and not dead.

There is zero discrimination from Westminster
And never has been over all our lifetimes  .. quite the opposite
By:

When: 25 May 23 16:06
So why is NI getting less money than the rest of the union.

Government spending is higher in N Ireland , Scotland and Wales than in England
The current figures , published in Dec 2022 are N Ireland £ 14, 062 per capita
Scotland £13,881 per capita , Wales 13,401 … East Midlands £ 10, 528

See what I mean about Irish nationalists ?

They call that discrimination, lol   .. no wonder the Unionists
have had so much trouble with them and their propaganda / lies

Yeah, they refuse to attend Stormont on the principle they are against the protocol(haha) but will consider it if loads of money is given.

Some morals, they want to whip the eye out of the head of East Midlanders and couldn't give a tuppeny truck.

Excuse me, but there was a recent election(cycle) and a new deal, I refer you as above to Lord Does a and the Northern Ireland bill(Barnett squeeze).

As regarding England, it's a cost base for a much larger population.

You really should be aware of the facts before being abusive to the wrong cohort.

Ah , there’s no border in the East Midlands or any other part of the U.K. ..
apart from the Irish Sea border ..  that’s a matter for Ulster Unionists , try and keep up

I'm doing my best! Surely it is a matter for Michelle as the unionists are the democratic minority?
By:

Pd I suggest you understand what per capita means
As I have explained NI , Scotland and Wales receive more than England
How they choose to spend it is a matter for themselves

Pa, would you believe Paisley is now calling for debate on a weighted majority.

Can you believe the cheek of the bollox, he states a 2% majority is not enough if a vote for United Ireland ever take place.

I don't remember that in 98 and it didn't seem important to him when voting for Brexit, suddenly now it's an issue, the fooking filthy swine.

They have no love for the union, rather just a bitter hatred of the Irish.
By:

When: 25 May 23 18:18
Look again lapsy .. unionists are the majority in stormont
And unionists are against the Irish Sea border

Not that they need concern themselves with anything Sinn Fein might think anyway

That was the old deal I've told you lfc, it changes with a new election cycle and assembly, grow up and stop clowning around.

You will find Gerry Adams said something similar to Paisley ..
Not that I agree .. just pointing out another Fact to our nationalist friends

I saw that PD,what a sickening shower and to be expected. Stems from the brexit vote and is actually an own goal for his party and brexit itself.

I saw somewhere else a call for a 3 county North lol.

Stormont, Parliament has been told.

Speaking at Westminster, DUP peer Lord McCrea of Magherafelt and Cookstown said there was “a nod and wink” that cash would follow if his party was to end its powersharing boycott and “the money tree will magically blossom again”.

He made his comments as peers considered the Northern Ireland (Interim Arrangements) Bill.

The region is facing cuts in the latest budget which was set by Northern Ireland Secretary Chris Heaton-Harris in the absence of locally elected ministers.

This underfunding and unfair budget for Northern Ireland in my honest opinion is not by chance, but it is by design

Pecker I’ve explained that Westminster have never discriminated against NI
Stop trying to portray the opposite of the truth , it’s not good behaviour

Those in authority know well that these cuts when they come will hurt the sick, the children, the vulnerable, the elderly, the weakest in society, but they believe that will be a price worth paying to get the Assembly and force the executive up and running.”
By:

When: 25 May 23 18:24
Former DUP deputy leader Lord Dodds of Duncairn said: “If the executive and the Assembly were back tomorrow it would not make the slightest difference to the underfunding of Northern Ireland.

“In fact, newly installed ministers would have to go about the business of slashing public services in health and education, policing and so on to an unprecedented degree.

Liberal Democrat Baroness Suttie said: “There is no doubt that Northern Ireland is facing an extremely challenging situation as regards future public financing.

Upside down thinking pecker .. how do you propose to stop cuts , if Stormont was in place ?
By:

The Bill is set to become law after being approved by the Lords without amendment.

Now Stormont is in place , how do they stop cuts to the budget ?
Tell me how …

Walk out of Stormont ?…
By:

When: 25 May 23 18:32
Look again lfc, unionists are unlikely to have any majority in Stormount.

Perhaps Kelly could explain that to you further.
By:
lfc1971
When: 25 May 23 18:38
Unionists are the majority in Stormont
If they were not it doesn’t mean they have to concern themselves with anything Sinn Fein might think
You see pecker if nationalists aren’t concerned - apart from their own political views .. don’t expect
anyone else to be ..

Now Stormont is in place … how do you propose they stop these budget cuts ..
By:
peckerdunne
When: 25 May 23 18:44
I thought you were denying budget cuts.
By:
lfc1971
When: 25 May 23 18:48
I didn’t deny budget cuts .. I explained to you that NI ,
Scotland and Wales receive more than England under the Barnett formula

Now the cuts . .. How does Stormont stop those budget cuts ?…
By:

When: 25 May 23 18:51
Walk out of stormont ?

Why is Northern Ireland being denied a general election? There was a legal obligation to have one last October after the failure to appoint a speaker.

This was extended by law in Westminster til Jan 24, this is unacceptable.
