I thought maybe he would want better ground but he won a PTP on heavy (how good that was i've no idea), anyway i never thought he was travelling with any zest today.

Yh I agree he wasn't impressive at Galway and his Jumping was much like today.

However he was priced short this morning and then all of sudden 5 mins before the race there comes a massive drift out to near 3.0.

Now fair enough he prob is a 3 mile chaser but he didn't seem to travel even 1 mile out. I am sure he is better than that!

A young 4yr old should more than pay his way but certainly not as good as I would have hoped.

In hindsight I was sucked into the profile rather than evidence on the track. Still a sucker for "sexy" types

I'm fairly sure I said it before on here that Rogue Angel jumped quite stickily when he won is p2p. Two miles against decent types was never going to see him in the best light. The betting predicted as much though he should have ran much more respectably all the same.

I remember last year when they ran Make you mark against Boston Bob in a bog,it finished his season.

I would love to see SDC run in the King george-much better option for him, long term, than a Lexus in the mud probably(if that's the plan??).The John Durkan is on the 9th Dec,so perhaps a bit soon but wouldn't be surprised if they ducked Flemenstar??Any news on probable races for SDC??

I think he blew up actually after jumping to the front and his jumping was sketchy but never looked like falling. A 100% pure chaser but nice to see him win so easily on debut against a solid horse. 10l distance back to the rest. Very happy with that.

Mouse Morris will wait until the middle of the week before deciding whether to let First Lieutenant run in the Hennessy on Saturday.

The Hennessy is over 3m 2f and a bit and to me he doesn't look an out and out stayer to me. Bobs Worth ran away from him up the hill at Cheltenham in the RSA. Yes he was a bit keen in the race but to my eyes Bobs Worth outstayed him. I may be wrong but i think 3 miles is as far as he wants.

I have never seen a horse do that at the first two flights,anybody hoping for a "quiet one" there had their plans dashed.

Anyone know why Quito wasn't given a Hennessy entry? 3m 2f on soft ground, off a reasonable mark imo, would have been the horse to beat.

Bright New Dawn my dark horse for the year runs in the maiden hurdle with Ned Buntline and Lord of Lords. A fantastic race in prospect. I saw him at Naas and he was one of the most beautiful looking horse I have seen in a long time. He be around 5/1...defintely having a few euro's on him e/w.

Midnight Game returns and lets hope the mess connection made of him last season aren't remembered.

Far Away so close and Beef To Heels both finding winning form should both run well for very good pots.

Panther Claw interesting to see if the hype is still justified...runs in a hot race with a dog in Micky D over fences and a very questionable jumper in Mount Benbulben

Bog Warrior runs in a handicap hurdle and its a wise move from connections. Pity he been a ****g disaster ever since Xmas last year when they asked him to do something he hated.

Trifolium/Magnamity and First Lieutenant all run in England and all should run well and some well into the money. I think this maybe First Lieutenants day!!!!

Midnight Oil looks a no hooper in  the Novice on Sunday. Dedigout looks to be a better Bog Warrior IMO in a class pure class renewal of the in the Drinmore, all incredibly exciting Grade 1 Horses here. Dedigout very exciting. Si C'etait Vrai another in a Grade 1 hope he runs well

Outlander for the Mullins combo and lets hope the jockey isn't trying to smart like a few weeks back on a point horse with a similar profile. Looks a hot contest!

On a side note, Un Atout has been entered for the past few weeks and yet to run. I hope connections don't act the bollicks and try to be smart and go straight for A graded race before he has even seen a hurdle. Take your maiden hurdle and then look up jump straight on top of the mountain

Giggy also bought Hartside from John OXX and a new horse from France called Un Volt

Bright New Dawn has paid for xmas Big win for me and Dessie Hughes is just the man at the moment. Dessie will be having a few more fine prospects coming his way after the last week of results.

Midnight Game was sensational on his return and he will progress well. I said before his run last year I thought he could be a champion hurdle horse for the team and finally he has delivered some of that promise I had for him. Great also to see Bog Warrior win again and hopefully they are wise with him now.

First Lieutenant ran a stormer in the Hennesey as I said last weekend I thought it was the perfect race for him. If only he was a bit wiser with himself he could have won. Jumping was incredible when right and very iffy when not. I love him to learn how to settle in front but Mouse will get him right.

i think you're wrong about midnight game ruby ,i had a look at him in the paddock today a little on his toes for my liking...i ended up backing him simply because i thought they had him right  , having taken their other runner out , this was the one....i think this fellow is best fresh , he might win another soon , i'd then forget about him ..thats my opinion of him anyway...i saw the winner of the champion hurdle today alright , it wasn't midnight game ...the horse that impressed me most was contrywide flame in the fighting fifth ...he was very impressive today and with better ground should be even better ...get on now....
