I be back on Hurricane Fly next year at Chelts
considering the amount I lost on him last year![]() |

You're going completely off the point now,it's not about me or anybody else believing what mullins says,
i just think its silly to suggest a certain trainer is at fault for the injuries of his horses. |
|
By:
Explain it other wise so??? okay to be lauded when it all goes right but when it goes wrong wash your hands and say not my problem?
That is exactly your point! He is the never done anything wrong, i think he has and the stats back it up. |

Cooldine(violet O leary got rid of him)
Tarla (missed a year or more comes back wins and heavy Ground and pulled up in Heavy ground) Glencove Marina (finished after injury) Lovethehigherlaw (dead) Samain (No news which is not good news, very talented horse who was campagined to come back sound) Arvika Ligeonniere (injured for a year) Hurricane Fly (Missed 2 Festivals for once in a generation hurdler) Cousin Vinny (drifted before Supreme and hasn't been found since) Fiveforthree (finihsed) On His Own (picked up injury doing god knows what as hardly had any stress on the track grand national) Mikael D(Complete mess over fences) Ut De Sivola (Dead) Sous Lex Cieux(Dead) There is 3 years of Grade 1 horses who have been injured. I just trying to engage the debate that when Willie has a top class horse that from previous expierence there is a chance they he may not come back the same horse after an injury or even worse picking up injurys at home and dead schooling. Agree/disagree whatever, just something I will always have in the back of my mind when backing this stable ante post. Sir Des Champs for this reason is why I want to see he has all four legs in John Durkan before we punt for Festival. |

Anybody could pick a leading stable and pick a handful of horses out who have been injured,You're just been stupid now,No even point trying to argue with you on this one,What about noel meade?off the top of my head,Go Native,Afistfullofdollars,Aran Concerto.pandorama,Nicanor,Mr Nosie,Sweet Wake all picked up bad injuries at some stage of their careers.it's what happens when horses jump fences for a living.

Willie Mullins probably has a lower rate of injured horses than most.........Ruby it's all about learning as you go along.

Cousin Vinny (drifted before Supreme and hasn't been found since)
This just proves what utter nonsense your talking. im pretty sure Cousin Vinny has run 8 times since disappointing in the supreme 3 years ago and has won as recently as February this year. |

This just proves what utter nonsense your talking. im pretty sure Cousin Vinny has run 8 times since disappointing in the supreme 3 years ago and has won as recently as February this year. Oh dear, oh dear, thats the point, he has been ****g awful since that infamous drift ![]() Anybody could pick a leading stable and pick a handful of horses out who have been injured,You're just been stupid now,No even point trying to argue with you on this one Talking stupid, is anything I said up there not factually true in realtion to every one of the horses above?, talking stupid when its the truth explain that one to me. o even point trying to argue with you on this one,What about noel meade?off the top of my head,Go Native,Afistfullofdollars,Aran Concerto.pandorama,Nicanor,Mr Nosie,Sweet Wake all picked up bad injuries at some stage of their careers.it's what happens when horses jump fences for a living. Who is talking about Noel Meade, we are talking bout Willie Mullins , if you want to compare yards at least do one that is fair, A Paul Nicholls or a Nicky Henderson that is a skewed presentation, Noel Meade doesn't have the same owners same wealth of owners, costly bloodstock or good horses. And for the record Noel Meade is not far behind Mullins but we already knew that his Festival record if poor for such a good operator. |
|
By:
Oh dear,Wow that's news to me,So it's ok for meade and the likes if their horses are injured just as frequently as the likes of mullins because there so much cheaper??
Have a day off ruby. |

Where did I say its okay???.....can you not read i said Noel Meade is not far behind Mullins but we already knew that his Festival record if poor for such a good operator, once again your basic reading education or horse knowledge beggars belief, Noel Meade is not in the same league in terms of Owners, strength and depth as Willie Mullins and that is clear for anyone to see. I was taking you to task(but as usual you can't answer any of my points and make up generic points to cover your neck) why aren't you comparing him to Paul Nicholls and Nicky Henderson who are fair comparsions in stable quality and size. Are you kidding me??...you are clearly a member of the Willie Mullins family or stable the fact I have mentioned all of the above horses the way you can't see the wood from the ****g beach in this convo. Quevega is the only multiple Grade 1 winner that has not had a setback and every april we see her drift in the betting before she dots up, maybe Thousands Stars wins a poor Grade 1 but thats it. Not a great record for the best yard in the country. And I will be on Sir Des Champs in the Gold Cup once i see he is back fit and well at Punchestown. |

By:
Do you not think there is a pattern there or is never the Willie Mullins fault. Must be the only one man I know that is the perfect horse trainer you clearly think so.

Martin is useless,Why trust him with a potential Grade 1 horse? i just dont get it. You said this about Bog Warrior only last week, however this horse did not have an injury and simply had a crashing fall by trying to change tactics last xmas and has since lost there way. You wouldn't trust Martin despite Martin doing a fantastic job with the Dedigout who is a Grade 1 horse but you give Mullins a pass because of what?. Where is the consistency in rubbishing martin as a trainer yet when i go through a large amount of horses that have met similar fate with Willie I am talking complete and utter **** according to yourself despite having a much larger stats base to back up my argument. Strange |
|
By:
ruby, take a chill pill, you appear to be very angry at the moment,i am by no means a huge mullins fan,not quite sure where your getting that from, you seem to be making that up to suit your arguement, ill say this once more,This has Nothing got to do with Willie Mullins my arguement to you is how you your putting blame on a trainer for his horses getting injured, which imo is quite staggering,Now believe it or not,id be of the exact same opinion wether you were talking about Willie Mullins or were it to be a small farmer down the country who had 2 horses in his care!
perhaps the best trainer in the country (your words, not mine) shouldnt be given any horses to train if horses in his care continue to pick up injuries, What do u reckon,eh? |
|
By:
Martin and Mullins,Chalk and Cheese ffs,They cannot even be compared,
How many Grade 1 winners has Martin trained?Ye could count them on one hand, another silly statement. |

Nothing really happened this week.
Paddy Mullins thinking he is some sort of smart jockey setting a farcical pace on a point winnter and expecting to outspeed them at the end of the race. The same logic that got Champagne Fever beaten when they though holding up a 3 mile chaser at Fairyhouse, never mind he looks like he can run. Willie Mullins has seem to got a nice new team from Gigginstown this year but we will have to wait and see how they all go. He has quite a few that haven't been seen like Flash of genius and High Handel. Made in Germany Outlander Rough Justice etc Rathlin also seems to be taking a few runs to get right this year but i see Bright New Dawn is entered up for Dessie next week, he is a smashing type and has all the attibutes to go right to the top!. Also the bumpers lately have all looked very good, the ones at Fairyhouse and Thurles next week follow the same tune, strength and depth in Irish Hunt is returning I think. |
|
By:
Un Beau Martin won today.
Big runners tomorrow with Rough Justice and Road to Riches. Both of them should win and Road to Riches may move up the Novice ranks quickly. |
|
By:
Some crop of 3 year olds getting ready for the point to points in the new year........got a quick look at them cantering the other day.
|
|
By:
Road to riches ran well today and looks a nice recruit. All about chasing game though, jumps very big.
I thought the ride given Sweeney Tunes was bonkers, what every chance he had held up in a 4 runner race was not it. Elliott delivers with Beef to Heels after Un Beau Martin and he is really staking his place to be Gigginstown biggest trainer in a few years. Disappointed with Rough Justice and Thunder and roses not winning but did not see it. All about the chasing game for them as well. Not much else now until next Sunday. Dedigout should win the novice chase Grade 1 and Giggy has some selection in the novice hurdle also. This is what the game is about ![]() |

By:
Are all the young horses in Capranny Gant? Heard they gave Doyle the road and Elliot got most of them a while back. Theres a few nice unraced ones knocking around the south west too by all accounts.
|
|
By:
Yes.Not Capranny but I know what you mean.
|
|
By:
who has them in the south west allduck?
|
|
By:
Disappointing that Thurles was off today for the team
Eddie O Leary bought a few last week at Tatts and pretty sure Mullins bought a 85k lot for them. He in action at goffs and bought a foal for 105k by Mafki. The investment has just gone through the roof in the last year. Davy is licking his lips at the moment!!! Some bunch of novice hurdlers, even Ally Cascade is looking a very smart horse through the formbook |

Elliott has done a right job with Shrapnel hasn't he?....looked every inch a pig with Byrnes.

He is in the right hands no doubt! |

Interesting how Rogue Angel goes, he is every inch a top class horse for the future but if he improves his jumping he could be a Neptune horse
