Which side of the fence would you be on?

Will Johnny G shirk the contest due to potential Ballydoyle team tactics?

Ombudsman any day of the week, conditions permit. The team tactic from AOB / Coolmore will be anticipated and eagerly watched, policed and punished by The BHA now a precedent has been set in the SJP at Royal Ascot. But, will Con River turn up? This is the $64m question.

Hopefully both will turn up.
It should be a fascinating clash.

Remember last year, Ombudsman had a pace maker (team tactics, bla bla)

Could be one of the races of the season but I think the Ombudsman will send CR packing myself.

Best atm Books.
Ombudsman 11/10
Constitution River 5/2. (B366)

Not that much difference here
6/5 & 2/1.
Be a good clash if they both show.

If you wish to take a chance on doing your money on A/P feel free to do so.
I wouldn't trust Coolmore if they said it was Tuesday today

Will Con River turn up for The International in York? He only showed for The Eclipse after the defection of Ombudsman. At 5/2 I think it's too short against Ombudsman, Calandagan and company.

See O'brien still peddling the usual BS, after CR wins one of the worst Eclipse's in living memory, Moore is supposed to have gotten off of him and proclaimed that he's not sure if he's ever ridden a better oneGrin

I would be fairly certain that Ombudsman will turn up.
Not so sure about C/R

Yep .. I remember Gosden having a real look of delight on his face after the Ascot race and he announced then that the Juddmonte was the main aim.

Have AOB and Coolmore produced a truly exceptional colt in the last decade? I hope the horsey aficionado here could enlighten.

An opinion and evaluation of the contest by Gosden Sr has reflected in a major shift in the betting. Gosden Sr is correct in his evaluation. I think Item (Juddmonte / Balding) could have a huge say too. He's also value, if he turns up.

“The four-time Group 1 winner came out of the Dip in smooth fashion during his first outing on turf since beating Calandagan at Royal Ascot, having been confined to all-weather surfaces due to the dry spell in Newmarket.

Seems we can all confuse runners! Grin

John Gosden dismisses Ombudsman concerns after Coral temporarily suspend betting on Juddmonte International

It would be nice to know why they’ve removed an unbeaten filly from the Arc, it’s two or so days now and no reports.

Totally lazy journos wearing blinkers.

As for the race I think the Constitution has a run style a little like Calandagan, if he can keep tabs when Ombudsman goes then he might be worn down.

Not looked the other runners yet.

Ombudsman a very good horse but not a great one.  Easily beaten in last years Champion at Ascot.  Would never back him in a top G1 myself.

Thought that they might've gave him a crack @12F in the King George.
Not as though he's unbeaten.Quite a few ran in the both,Prince of Wales as well as that.
Bit late now though.

Who Ombudsman? Gosden has mentioned the Breeders Cup, seems like he’ll go 1m 4f there.

He could also meet Constitution there also, I’m not sure about Ben over that trip there, Magican won the Dee Stakes and ended up there, looks tailor made for it.
Especially with how he went around the rail at Chester.

So 'ok koral' suspended betting on Ombudsman. A market manipulation then. Perhaps any bookie in the future would have to make a public statement as to why the betting market of a major runner has been suspended, possibly giving the id of the individual / entity eg a known face, etc.

yeah don't bet.  Why ?  Because it's nearly impossible to choose between the main two..yet even others aren't out of it.   Ombudsman looks to have a touch more pace if it turns into a speed test but with the long straight CR might just outstay him if it's a real test at the trip. Then again they could help something else could them down late.  Prices are about right.  Don't think i've seen such a no play big race for some time.
