Keane out rode them. Kept Ombudsman from getting a crack, saw Constitution River was not settling. Whilst Keane ensured that Ombudsman got no run, legally, if it was an AOB horse doing it, people would be crying AOB tactics.  Keane rode one of his better races for Juddmonte.

I don’t like the form of the POW but as said Gosden has him at his track having avoided the clash at Sandown.

It looked like Action missed the break, so i think Plan A,B, and C went out the window, CR was doing to much. What happened the 2 pacemakers?

I am neither lover or hater of Buick. This season in his defense he is not getting the breaks you need. Remember a year or so ago, it started to happen to Ryan Moore.

99% of horses drawn one on round course last few yrs have finished in the middle of the track, there,ll be no one anywhere near that rail for next 3 days, had had chances early in the straight to outside of the winner

Buick rode a bad race despite the horse's trainer stating it was not the ground for Ombudsman. A blowout for AOB / Coolmore too. Their tactic went awry, and Con River was just that. A con.

Well done 'ronnie rails'. I hope the winning will see you through York and beyond.

When you have your horse out the back of the field, you can go wherever you choose. Rushed him up the rail in a panic.

Ground dependent more than I thought,Ombudsman, bit of a messy race in the end.
Wnr won well,he didn't get a clean passage but still  nabbed Almaqam.
Good finish to the race.

Ombudsman looks finnish you just wonder what Corals knew to suspend a good few days back usually no smoke without fire. There you go I laid the beast for my life and was unlucky backed the second at 36.

Really awful or lack of tactics from Gosden. Buick literally followed the script that would lose the race. The horse had had enough once the door opened .

Buick looks to have lost a bit of his cool this season.

Best horses today first and second. Not much doubt about that.

Think Buick is having a loss of confidence like a forward going 10 games without scoring, probably over thinking his rides.

O'Brien has said he expected his other pacemaker to be where the Gosden one was in third so you are correct. But let the headcases fume that the horse was purposely held up out the back Laugh

Funny in last two years the race has been a mess with the pacemakers!

Disgrace with the going again at York, shathole.

The thing I have noticed after this race, and it is not going related, one of the ITV team needs to use nose hair clippers.

Looks like pacemaker and holders in are spoiling quality horses chances it reminds you there is no point in taking short prices no matter the race quality.

I do not think Gosden Snr will be happy with Buick. The softening ground was already a negative. The $64k question is when will Loughnane take over before another major outfit makes the move for him eg Juddmonte or Shadwell? Crowley has just retired.
