The Old Nanny. Agree with you on the marathon. Incredible that they stayed with one another for the
last 14 kilometres and it came down to a sprint in the stadium!. For me this is the ultimate running event. You can keep the 100 and 200 metre races. Also the woman who finished third was amazing because it was only her 2nd Marathon. |

By:
womens 200m 2 runners Jefferson & Alfred..jefferson very impressive and alfred was cruising also.
no bet as these sprints have too many imponderables. |

richarson cud nick a medal as she stumbled and lost a yd and wasnt beaten far in her heat.

Richardson listed now stew

On his semi final run Lyles will be lucky to even medal. Much too slow out of the blocks, and didn't produce any great surge.
JW gone favourite again in the women's 100, but set out to run fast, and she was under no pressure. Likely winner if she can repeat under pressure. Alfred conserved and only did enough to win. |
|
By:
Yes she's there now, thought she'd withdrawn when not in eight finalists.
|
|
By:
Alfred eased right of the gas, should be close but think may edge it.
|
|
By:
Wouldnt surprise if she had Stew , Shes crackers
Did she not win it last time ? |

What price was the guy who won the 10 K ?

congrats
where did you post your bets? |
|
By:
^ Well done although I am struggling to see any post that suggests that.
Phenomenal performance from JW in the women's race. One of the best I have seen. Made Alfred look like a carthorse. Lyles never at the races. I wouldn't be overly confident about the 200. |

'any one of 3-4 cud nick it'? That suggests to me no bet.
A little bit short of saying those were the two bets. |

molly went out in qualifying at the olympics - she would have been a gold possible for that and these champs. avoid her lottery numbers
|

By:
Cram spouting more rubbish about times. The 400 Metres qualification seems very comfortable. Why would anyone set out to run a fast time? Has been really poor. I think it was yesterday he struggled with counting to six.

There must be some sh####ng goes on at these events. What else is there for them to do once they’re out? Lucky people - young, fit, thrown together, facilities available, everything going for them.
Jealousy is a terrible thing! ![]() |

Disappointed with the women's 100 hurdles, had Amusan at 15/2, but lost it at the start, and couldn't peg back a 20/1 shot. Bookmakers no doubt delighted.
Looking bleak for GB. Will be hoping they might be able to squeak a few minor relay medals. |

Just think if Sydney don't fire she's got a good chance of being the
girl to take advantage.Worth an interest @ the price. GL. |

Expect gold for Keeley, a medal in the mens 1500 - maybe a medal in the 400 and 800. kjt should get one if she completes the event |

Amazing , seen a few of his world records and seems to be 3rd attempt as though he is just toying with the crowd.Gets paid each time in regular events , not so sure about the big championships.
Think they said that's the 14th time he has broken the record. |

Incredible result in the men's marathon last night. In horse racing terms a 33/1 shot was followed home by 7 three and four figure rags. None of the top 8 in the betting finished in the top 14 in the race. The Ethiopian trio who were 1st 2nd and 4th fave all pulled up. and to top it off the German who would've been a three figure price, would've been 1.01 in the home straight.
Seems to be a shift away from the traditional carve up between Ethiopia and Kenya at major championships in distance races last couple of years. You have to wonder whether they've been cheating and getting away with it before, and more rigorous drug testing or drug testing advances has frightened them. I know Kenya are facing sanctions and Welteji of Ethiopia had been suspended a day or two before she was going to compete. |
