Benjamin again more impressive than Warholm in qualifying. Expect him to go clear favourite now.

Sydney done 48.30 on the snaff..Wr 47.70..surely if she goes for it finding 0.7 should be well within the compass..i cannot see her being beaten barring accidents.

"big difference 1.06 & 1.16"

1.06 may have been matched near the off but pretty sure she was 1.11 when I looked which was at some point after the semi

And what a mediocre studio it is.

Yavi, another odds on loser. Suspect the bookmakers have mopped up plenty of multiples.

Do bookies still take multiples on athletics?  Think most have stopped

BBC at least 3laps behind on steeplechase, Betfair didn't close until after last athlete crossed the line on the bbc, was 1.01 for about 5 minutes.

Laros added to the list of odds on failures. Winner 50/1.

Bad luck Wightman.

Kerr, idiot race. Then tried to claim a sympathy vote.

There's a difference between mentioning someone and betting on them, or even tipping them to win the race. Pretty sure you would be penniless if you backed every one he mentioned.

Think Hocker would've won that convincingly had he not been dq'd.  Redemption for him in the 5k?

A testosterone fueled (allegedly) Kratochvilova smashed it at the age of 30 or 31. She turned up at a low key event to the 400m, but didn't want to run flat out so switched to the 800m.  She then went to the WC where she won the 800m, half an hour after winning the 400m semi Laugh

Keely is only a second and a half outside that WR in her two runs this season.  Not impossible she could beat it in the next couple of years

Advances in science, nutrition, footwear and tracks since then.  Yet still every woman's WR from 100-800m is from the 80s.  They look like they all on the cusp of being broken now

I don't think Kratochvilova knew she was being drugged by the Czech state.  Pretty sure there was another female Czech runner who was very good at the time that looked much more like a woman.

Was he top 6 in the betting?  He wasn't in the top 5 for certain.  I don't know who was 6th in the betting.

Levell showing 11/8 with Hills on Oddschecker, but you will do well to find any prices if you try their site.

JW 1/4.

Warholm eased, but odds against still available for Benjamin.

What about Hocker for the 5,000m?

Ingebritsen clearly isn't close to 100%
Laros has peaked too soon and I reckon he might not start
All the Ethiopians are running average or poorly
The other two Americans ran below par in the 10k
There aren't any good Kenyans.
The 1500m 10k and Steeplechase have all been run at a slow pace
Gressier and Almgren who won gold and bronze in the 10k are not elite athletes

I know he's a 1500m runner and has no real pedigree at 5k, but he did win the US trials without extending himself and that's quite a stacked event these days.  He's fresh thanks to being dq'd in the 1500m and he's clearly peaked his season for the WC and is the only elite athlete who is in form.  Plenty of 1500m runners have won the 5k stepping up in trip and this race is looking far weaker than it did 5 days ago.  Whether he can do two rounds or handle a fast pace?  I'd have him the clear fave if it was a one off race with a slow pace.

Dont know whats worse the BBC coverage or the England team performance ? Is there anywhere to get the Time schedule for heats and finals as BBC dont seem to be showing them ( or I have missed them ) Mischief Cant stand this Waffle between races, should be getting more interviews with the Athletes.

I'm feeling a touch of annoyance that I never looked at the men's 200m pre event.  Levell ran 19.69 into a headwind just prior to these WCs, yet he was 25 to 33/1.  It was just one race but arguably that was best run at 200m this year.  Well done to anyone who did back him

ok.  I must have missed the post where you named the 6 Wink

I do know what you probably meant is it's wide open.  I think he may well have been 6th in the betting.  I'd have probably said, it's any one of 4 potential winners, which didn't include him.
