I think one of the F in Fahey horses will be backed later in the 6.10....and can see 1 of them closing the runaways Blue and Global down in the later stages (they may cut each others throats leaving it open to a finisher)?...I have backed them both e/w

You are a bad influence imo 37! Laugh

Still nothing (Filthy) for me today - I can't be messing about with these "VERY slightly dusty" races when at some point there will be a proper FILTHY two horse race where they are betting 1/2, 3/1 at the front end. Better to keep your powder dry for such a race imo. gl.

Those waits are getting longer TM......but agree with you. I,m just looking for a bit of value, with his 2yo`s running well and the standard in the race not too high,Amidst the dross on offer again today

I do quite a lot of other betting 37, so although I could do without the long waits, they don't bother me too much.

I can tell you hand on heart though that being able to sit out the long waits is the difference between winning and losing. If you go looking for them (filthy EW's) - you will almost certainly find them - whether they are there or not!

Totally agree TM......I`ve long learned that to make horse racing pay, you have to be very disciplined (or in the know)...which is very difficult if you actually enjoy the sport.I am in general a football punter these days, but have always loved the horses due to my Grandad !!!!

I didn't mean other sports 37 - I do a LOT of snooker and a bit of Football (almost exclusively in-play) - but other than that it is exclusively Horse Racing and any flat racing (especially All Weather Handicaps) is enough to keep me busy in the long waits between the Filthy stuff.

I know you like the snooker, and I know how much work you have to put into those AW h`caps....I take the lazy route with regards to h`caps (if I ever get involved in them) and just follow the money from certain stables !!!!

Morning Skip - looked at the 13:15 Wolves and the 17:45 Kempton - but I don't think I have a (Filthy EW) play today.

13:15 Woleves; Would love to oppose Batraan (again!) with something/anything EW but it doesn't look like a very deep race. The only two realistic options are Diligent Harry (too short - at time of writing and he's FTO) and Power On looks moderate (and not very progressive) unless the break has worked wonders for him. I'm bordering (at the big prices) on dutching Andaluska Bear and Plastic Paddy (Places Only) but will probably just watch.

17:45 Kempton: Fav (Great Esteem) already beaten twice at short prices and returning from 471 day break - The market shape says maybe Tampere EW - but the race just looks a bit to "lurky" imo.

Although those look the best races on on a grim day after a run of grim  days (for filth) - I don't feel compelled to play either of them as there will be better days and certainly better races.

The Forum is fecked (yet again!) here - so going to close it for the day (it's slowing everything else down too now) GL if you play.

Poxy forum - I actually meant (ABOVE) to type a dutched (place only) bet on Plastic Paddy & Rhode Island Girl (13:15 Wolv) - But I couldn't be bothered to waste the 15 minutes it would have taken me to post the correction - so now I just look like a filthy after-timer! Cry

But as it happens - I couldn't actually decide which of the "no hopers" would hit the frame, so I decided to have them all running for me and eventually I went with a place lay of Power On (4th)Grin

13:05    GB / Wolv 6th Jan/ 13:15 TO BE PLACED / Power On
Lay        1.40

Obviously it doesn't count as a thread bet - and obviously I fecked up on the price!

Genuinely switching this sh1te off for the day now until BF get their act together!

I have backed Tampere in the 5.45 ....trusting Spencer is not something I do lightly, but it has done nothing wrong in it`s last 2 races (which it could/should not have been able to win)....e/w...I can`t see it being out of the 3 PLAICEs
By:

I still don`t like Spencer.....went from looking the winner 2 out, to a never nearer 3rd after aiming the horse at some imaginary gap!!!!

Morning all....I was hopeful of the 4.55 Wolves today when I saw it last night....but having left the nets out overnight, my catch tells me there are far too many Lurkers in there !!!

Yet another grim day.  I suppose the 2.20 stands out on shape/maths but it's gotta be tiny stakes on these cards.

After timing but two small kids bets on the SB 3.40 newcastle restored a little bit of order.  Odds on fav and four plaices being paid so went in blind with second and third in. 6/1 winner and 11/2 plaice.  I think i'd better start looking for a job again !!!

I know that feeling Jon.....years ago I went to Windsor to back a fav, at a sunny summer Saturday meeting....The Mrs came along for the trip and in the same race as mine was a horse called "pip", which had been the name of her dog as a kid...25/1 shot......you can guess the outcome !!!..It was the longest journey home that I will never be allowed to forget !!! I am looking for Ferrybank to drift slightly in the 6pm....but looks like I may have missed it.......should be PLAICED

A grim day for the Filth. Nothing at all for me.

Probably more through desperation to finally have a thread selection - I vaguely liked Adagio (at 5/1 last night) 13:25 Chepstow - but that price is ancient history and it looks a bit too short now. Probably just as well because there are at least five candidates for the frame.

GL if you play - but there is no filth whatsoever out there today imo

Morning TM.  Agree another bleak day for filth.  I'm going to have a small ew double Flash Collonges 11.52 wincanton at 2/1 and Leylak 12.25 wincanton 9/4.  GL in the handicaps.

Cameraman didn't help 37 - but one encouraging noise from me (that turned out to be for Sufi) is usually sufficient to stop most horses in their tracks!

I'm thinking of having my debut Plaice lay today.  Tributo 4.10 Chelms. I'm not sure his Newcastle run amounts to much given Kevin the Minnion's performance yesterday.  I should mention that my record laying is truly horrific so it's probably nailed on.
