Pretty dire today if truth be told .................The only one that REALLY interests me is Gentlemansgame 1-03 Cork ,impressive in his point in October ......the 3rd ran well in a Hurdle at Punchestown subsequently , and the second was bought by highflyer bloodstock for
100,000gns . he himself fetching a cool quarter million , i think connections will be expecting a good run ...... |

Happy New Year Skip, Jon, 37, etc.
Thanks for bumping the thread - although it does seem to have involved a worrying number of plays in Irish Bumpers! I haven't even bothered looking at the National Hunt cards - I don't think I have missed a lot on the All Weather either - I think there was a "Classic" no-brainer at Wolves on 27th December producing a nice 11/4 winner (14:25 Water Of Leith) where the betting was: 1/2, 11/4, 11/1 and 20/1 bar. There was also a placed horse at 7/2 on 30th December (14:55 Wolver: Moohareeba). Today looks grim - I'm going to continue swerving the National Hunt for now and there is nothing filthy on the flat. That just leaves me playing the place markets in the AW Handicaps. GL if you play. |

Good call Skip.....and very well backed....late start here but nothing e/w at all today.HNY TM. Only having 2 bets atm today (none thread related)....If the Tate horse gets backed in the 2.55 I may change my mind...but if not Hidden Breeze should win...will lead all the way coming back in trip with first time headgear !!!!! In the 3.55 Cork I think Angels Dawn will win if run not coming too soon as it`s form is solid....price of 7/4 ish seems very fair

By:
Market telling me the tate horse wins the 2.55......so have backed Join Forces to pick up the jolly late on
By:
what does the market know !!!!
By:
12-27 Catt I think Jayaaah has to be backed.......

Morning Skip - That race does look to have a very nice shape.
As usual, so does the Irish Bumper (15:50 Fairyhouse). There are also a couple of nice shaped races that are only playable (to 3 places EW) on Betfair. The 13:53 Plumpton & 14:02 Catterick. I think I will continue to swerve the NH though and stick to Southwell today - unfortunately there is nothing there for this particular thread today. GL. |

Afternoon all. Have to agree skip. Just took 3/1 ew.

37 - Glad to see you have finally deserted Calculus (13:05)

Maybe if there was a 4 place market (i.e. 8 runners) - thought it ran on ok LTO but happy just to watch in todays race imo
By:
these 7 runner races are painful
By:
Ps....want to see calculus over 6f...watch it dot in now !!!
By:
- Like all good 4-place bets - finished 5th (and not too far off them considering it was tailed off at one point) |
By:
yep...got the fav beaten..but not with the one i thought.....watch this space re Calulus...6f on polytrack !!!!
By:
Not sure about 6f 37 - was running on (generous interpretation!) LTO over 7f, more so (again being generous!) over 1m today. Maybe 10f from a higher draw (the deep stuff by the rail is horrid imo) but it won't find a weaker race than todays imo - so probably not a project worth pursuing imo. Just noticed you had put it up a few times previously.

By:
I keep looking back to it`s Newcastle race....there is a race in it when they decide too...it`s certainly not at Southwell !!!
By:
Nice result in that Irish bumper if anyone played
By:
Is this the worst days racing ...........EVER?????????????????
By:
Morning Skip - I'm happy enough with it - two proper meetings and only one load of old slow boats, plus the added bonus of no Irish slow boats
![]() But from a Thread point of view (Filthy Each Ways) - yes - it is possibly the worst day ever! ![]() |
By:
Tuesday and Wednesday might make this the worst three days of racing ever!

Just scoured the meetings, and what a load of CARP...these 7 horse races are annoying to say the least.....the only race that I have studied is the 6.50 at Wolves....and TM you don`t have to say it..."too many Lurkers" !!!! I do like the fact that Bell has put Curtis up, which may lead me to PLAICE a bet on Big Kitty....the negative is that F in Fahey has 2 real Lurkers...I don`t like the fav (atm) Angel Mill which narrows it down....a little !!!
By:
Really glad i did"t play the 6-50..........1-10 Lingers and 6-10 wolves (maybe).........???
By:
F in Fahey told us everything we needed to know Skip in that 6.50......I`ve just written today off also.....the 6.10 for the F in Fahey factor again (although will watch the market and the 1.10 as I don`t think Melody of life is a nailed in PLAICE

Nothing for me today (on this thread) but happy enough with two all weather cards and would take that any day of the week.
It's a shame most of the "non-handicaps" are Classified Stakes which are pretty much the same as Class 7 Handicaps or Banded racing. |
By:
Gone Double stakes Each way on Melody of Life @ 2-1..... Layed half off on the EW market on here..

GL Skip - looks the bets bet on a grim day.
