I'm going to see what the price is later, mad betting last time wasn't it, one minute 6/4 after rival pulled out then weak as anything going off over 3/1 on here
.I really like Yalta (coventry), looks to have class but I hate front runners in these ascot sprints.I'm not sure it would have to make the running but it has done and doing that here would be a huge negative for me. |

He looks a nice horse striding pretty much untapped as of yet but the ground worried me for him

Hard to know what to make of R S there she showed little turn of foot and considering the winner had looked a bit one paced a couple of times (including behind Daisy Bere who R S murdered last week) so a bit dis appointing. Haven't seen any of the card so don't know anything about track position etc but didn't expect her to get ouspeeded!

the one thing which was good was price discipline, would have been dogged with that sp

Yes indeed I had a doubles running on from Caravaggio so no real damage done
I know when I leave these scenarios alone and they get beat it almost fells like you've backed a winner |

Got a dilemma with Shadow Game at Hamilton (4:35) tomorrow over the 1m67y. Selected it last time as i thought a straight galloping track 7f would suit (had been running on over 6 and 7f on aw). To me on that run i'm really not sure about tomorrow's trip.
The dilemma is the stats of the sheikh's 3yo in these 3yo+ races have been very strong at this track (10-25, +£22.80 industry sp) first time distance (6-15, +£14.30 industry sp) class 4 (6-10, +£19.80 industry sp) ,all different horses. Perhaps the horse needs this trip now, it's hard to tell sometimes whether they are falling away from the front because they are one paced in the finish or are not well handicapped at trip/finding trip a bit far. Rarely worry about a shamardal staying tomorrows trip so perhaps i should trust the placement more than my instinct. Will watch that newbury race again a bit later and make a decision tomorrow |

I had a look today and had the same dilemmas (trip/mark) I checked his next 2 entries 7f50yds and 7f which complicated it more for me hard to be sure he's well enough h'capped though the stats say it probably should be a bet for yourself

Am usually looking for these unexposed 3yo's (at the trip) over the more staying trips 12f - 2 miles, the record around the mile is not nearly so impressive.I'm talking about all the 3yo's in the 3yo+ not the sheikh's those earlier stats applied to.
I have watched the race back a few times and still don't know what to make of it. Those other entries over shorter are interesting Fatlad. Gut feeling is saying leave it alone. |

thought bear vally was out for a school tonight strange ride took it up then reigned it back then finished , ran a tad green but , very slow time ?
By:
A few had the same thinking from what i saw earlier mart, the other one that had showed little on its 2 runs was quite well backed and ran much better.Hard to be confident on a 2yo you've never seen before, for all you can look at pedigrees.
I'm off any how Mart been a long day. Hope you are doing ok with your punting. |

Has won listed contests Trendy but they were nowhere near as hot as this in terms of the number of potential improvers rated so highly.
Hcp mark gradually coming down and has needed to when returned top that company. |

Season still not really kicked in fully and no selections last week for the first time. The good 2yo form is maintained with 5-19 (3 fto) obliging last week on turf. The 2yo's thus far have been striking well above average and have dominated.
A lot of the horses are running well and placing, 0-27 last week for the 3yo's look's poor but a number of near misses and some credible efforts at RA. A couple of 4yo's last week salieris mass was not really a price for me and togetherwecan a lowly rated mdn ridden by an inexperienced 7lb claimer riding her first winner was not on my radar unfortunately. generally the same theme continues, 2yo's going great guns and 3yo's not really firing consistently yet this season, the non 2yo's have ground to make up over the next couple of months if this season is to fall into the normal range of sr's. Hoping for some nice fast ground in July and August and the 3yo+ runners to take over the limelight. |

Shadow Game runs tomorrow 230B striding just done that race and should be fav after last time when Red Charmer is withdrawn danger is Mr Cool Cash
By:
You'd think this placement looks pretty good the 7 1/2 round here and an ease in class.
Was pretty amazed when i looked the other day 1-35 for 3yo's in the 3yo+ hcps at distance less than 10f round here. This is a track that is definitely targeted with decent sr's but i did a double take looking at that. |

See what ground and price are like nearer the time Fatlad.
By:
Final was murdered by fanning's route last time, everyone would have seen it so hardly under the radar.
Up in trip, small field has to be interesting at this track again but market likely to have it priced accordingly. |
By:
I've dodged that race altogether looks a bit tricky
By:
I can't see i'll be playing it either, not totally convinced 10f will suit this as much as some of the others and this sire is not a 'go to' one in terms of stepping up in trip like your shamrdal, cape cross, halling type etc.
July and August the hot spot at Beverley with horses that come here on the back of a mediocre or poor looking run lto, unexposed at trip a big plus. |
By:
As expected market got the runners pretty much nailed here today, both shown their hands a bit much recently.
By:
*Beverley runners

By:
Aye I've got a little on Shadow Game will top up if he drifts but otherwise just leaving as it is as I also fancy Mr Cool Cash and at the prices he's a decent bet for me
By:
Can't get over such a poor return from these 3yo's in 3yo+ races over the shorter trips Fatlad, that bothers me considering the yard's excellent record here in general.
Final is definitely stronger on the stats for me. But happy to pass on both at the prices. gl today ![]() |
By:
Final goes in too, grrrr prices smices
![]() |
By:
Shame there wasn't a few more runners for the price
By:
Just think i've rarely got much to play with around 2/1 Fatlad.
perhaps i'm expecting too much in the small fields with decent profiles. |
By:
ie i am wanting a fair bit bigger than i should with price at the lower end.
By:
maybe though the yard are always a bit shorter due to the popularity but with your specialization stats wise maybe 2/1 for Final was a bet given the field size it's a toughie though when you're in 2 minds on a price
By:
I was expecting a write up of sorts today striding or are there none that qualify?
By:
No Fatlad, I was on Hawatif last time, don't have any real angle in it's race today.
Both runners at Hamilton very interesting, very likely types for the track placement that have given good results. |

The rest are on AW ?
By:
I've had flyers on Powderhorn and Dream Of Summer in the 650K the first time gelded up to 1m back on the AW for Powderhorn seemed like worth chancing at 16's
Hawatif is in a good race I liked Normandie Lady at Catterick and Fidelma Moon was 2nd in the Carlisle race that's working out well threw on some fc's and exactas but got wins on NL & FM at 9's+ |
By:
I see that Marmajuke Bay's won again was it you I was talking to about him when he was left in the race when he was said to be a NR by the trainer?
By:
Yes it was.
By:
I've never backed him since that day btw

Rosamaria's race tomorrow.
Was to keen up there when ran over tomorrow's CD and only buckled late beaten 1 1/2l, marked that up given the running style in race. LTO murdered up the rails, Franny couldn't get it out last 2f when ridden with more patience. Small field tomorrow and a couple not sure to stay, should go back to front running imo and must go close if all is well. The 2yo stats when he sends those with a couple of runs under belt are very strong, even if they've been stuffed in those races. Be interesting what prices they are, don't expect much tbh. |
By:
*the stats for 3yo's in 3yo+ at track as strong as they get so a big plus too (rosamaria).
