Hi there dibdob, yes another thread in the pipeline for this season. Turf starts been pretty slow in recent seasons regardless of the aw, the 19.5% sr on aw so far this year was frequently 25%-30% in the past so it's not blistering this season suggesting a fast start to the turf.
Of course there are no hard and fast rules here and each horse on it's own merits but 4yo+ hcps have been very slow in the early part of the season on turf mar/apr since BFSP. an a/e of only 0.51 with 19.67 wins expected and only 10 returned. The 3yo hcps have only been hitting around 8% for 2 of last 3 seasons so I'm pretty cautious with these 2 as early precedence appears to be with the 2yo's a bit more so. All in all won't be expecting too much in the early weeks here. Hope all is well with you dibdob and look forward to your views again this time around. cheers |

Looking forward to it.
19.5% sounds pretty good compared to a couple of years back when he had that long losing run. I'm feeling more positive about the stable as a lot of the horses that have already out and had a few runs seem to have ran up to their highest mark or better. Will be interesting to see who the yards go to jockey will be this year. Seems like Fanning is back in the hot seat for now |

He has 10 or so of Hamdan's 2yo's (about the same as last year). Obviously Elarqam will be interesting (1.6m worth of Frankel x Attraction). Two others I like are Albaariq - a March Shamardal colt out of Eltiqaa AND an unnamed(?) April filly by Arcano out of Maimoona. The first above only has a Derby entry but the other two both have entries in the big 2yo sales races later in the season.
