Striding agree have been matched at 11.0 in a single bet "Desertforlife" gonna put a trade in for a free bet to nothing at around 5.0.

I'm not bothered trying to suss out the ripon race later, nothing would surprise me with those 3 runners. He's got a decent record at the track in class 3 hcps with 3yo's but you've got 2 on the downgrade and the other seeing trip for the first time is raised in class. The winners this profile i have found were the sole representatives fromthe yard so gl to anyone trying to fathom this one!

Oh and in the 400 he has his front running Jockey taking the mount.

Regal Monarch was a good winner last time we managed to land the lucky pin on it and may well oblige again but i'm certainly not interested at the price tonight.

BUT...

New caledonia ran a screamer at big odds at HQ seasonal return (the first try over tonight's trip), Looking at the closing stages there's a strong chance it can come on for that and i'm always banging the cape cross drum for the 3yo's this trainer runs in hcps, assuming the ground remains quick conditions should be ideal. I have been debating the oppostion and obviously stoutey could have lined up a blot here, alan kings also respected though is getting hit on ratings and not totally sure this ground will suit as well.

MJ's around 8.0 is just about a play for me

so I have 3 today in total

3:30 Goodwood Bathos
4:00 Goodwood Dessertoflife
7:30 Sandown New Caledonia

8 turf runners today but half of them are 2/1 or less and i just don't have an angle on them at the price. We have an unraced 3yo in a totally unraced mdn field at haydock which doesn't inspire.Surewecan will more than likely run it's race again but I left it on the opening day of this thread on the price and it often finds a way to get beat when looking the  winner so I'll happily pass.

Novancia wasn't something that scored enough on my profiling but it wouldn't be the greatest surprise back at today's trip at Goodwood. The most marginal decision of a play today for me was Renfrew Street on it's seasonal return up at carlisle coming down the grades now and racing off 75, having looked at the opposition it was a close call but decided to leave it.

A day when There could well be a few winners but this project is based on a certain set of criteria that need to score enough points and if they don't fit then that's that.

Well done on yesterdays winners guys. New Caledonia was interesting to me yesterday despite not winning. Off the bridle a long way out but still kept plugging on. My type of horse with hopefully a big prize init down the line.

striding you're discipline has to be admired Cool Quite a few to choose from tomorrow,I know Sennockian Star won't be one of your qualifiers but I'm expecting tomorrow to be the prep for his next two at Epsom and Chester. That's the theory anyway I'm fairly sure they're targetting one or both of those 2 after the last time out shambles.
By:

When: 20 May 16 14:52
I Have a look in the evening Fatlad and then firm up anything in the morning as he has so many entries plenty are pulled and you end up wasting time on non runners. So don't know anything solid about tomorrow, not often punting in the class 2's but there are some exceptions.

RIP wheneverwecan Cry

Just shows the quick swings in emotion this game can bring. One minute connections celebrating a winner then later losing a 2yo on the track.

Jollie i'll be honest mate the class of racing is not really my thing

decided not to play today Shocked

the 2 marginals were dawaa 3:25 goodwood but he has 4 in race and master of finance 5:15 Newmarket but his other runner also likes to raceon th epace so i couldn't see how this would help it!

could easily get 4/5 winners but that's just how it is

I couldnt resist the 3.25 at Goodwood with the Johnston 4 runners all at big prices. Turbine (12/1) and Dawaa (14/1) are the likely candidates here. Turbine running well on his seasonal reappearance and a subsequent win on the AW, looks to be on the upgrade. Carries an extra 6lbs here for that, but the very quick turnaround worries me although it could just as easily mean they fancy it to go in again. Dawaa won on this course last year over 6F. Hasn't won since that race, but has been dropping down the ratings. Horse has good early speed and a nice draw to get out in front. The worry is the horse hasn't been seeing out the 7 furlong races, but breeding suggests she should actually get further.

The other 2 at bigger prices are Galesburg 28/1 and Heraldic 33/1. Heraldic has shown his best form on the AW. Has dropped down the ratings, but none of its previous runs suggest it could do anything here. Could win a decent prize when switched back. My guess is they are working on a further drop in the ratings for the horse. Galesburg has it all to do in stall 12. It is 3 from 8 and has shown typical grit and resolve of the Johnston type that win at Goodwood. Running on slightly better ground then it has for a while. Hopefully it will improve for this. At the prices this and Dawa will be carrying my money.

Gl dibdob

the stats were definitely the strongest for dawaa but you are right on both counts with the trip, it may be a tad too far but it really shouldn't be this season on pedigree.

I nearly played it but chickened out.

master of finance i definitely would have played without his other runner in the race (also runs on the pace), it likes to try and make all and any pressure on the lead is not ideal so left that one as well.

bit frustrating with all the runners not to have a bet but most saturday racing, profile wise is not what i'm looking for.

Couldn't resist a play at that race, but I don't like Johnston running so many in them. Not making it easy for us!

Ground may have gone against Turbine there. Dawaa cant seem to do it from the front or from the back over 7. Will be interesting what they do with her next.

No entries on sunday.

I think I may have got Freight Train a bit wrong in my analysis after backing it last time. It has travelled well in it's last 2 races but not got home. I see on monday evening it is dropped into an apprentice class 5 race with the impressive George Wood booked over a mile at carlisle.

I really like the idea of these down graders trying to make all over a trip they stay a tad further.

Looks a very likely type to me, will be interesting what price it is.
By:
dibdob
When: 21 May 16 16:04
If George Wood is on board it wont be a big price and it will likely be half its opening price come race time.
By:
stridingedge
When: 21 May 16 16:20
MJ's would have an advantage on faster over the other pace in the race Dolphin Rock.

Would expect George to be told not to hook up with DR if it isn't allowed a lead, i don't think it's essential freight train leads.

I wonder how the owners of Master of Finance feel about coming 2nd to another Johnston trained horse.

I have noticed a trend over the last couple of years where if in the same race there are several Johnston runners winning and placing, horses owned by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum seem to finish ahead of other Johnston horses even when they are less fancied. Makes things a little easier from a betting point of view, but it still doesn't sit well with me particularly with it seeming to happen a lot in the bigger races.
