Evening bri,the only other Group race's Danedream has won apart from the Arc was 2 German Group 1s,
We all know German Group 1s aren't very good the majority of the time,
as i said,i believe her Arc win to be a flash in the pan,it was scarcely believable how she won it,ala homecoming queen in this years 1000 Guineas, and she hasn't produced anything like it in 3 outings since,
Cant have her at all to be honest, place lay for me mate but i wish u luck if you're on,but not to much Grin

To compare her with Homecoming Queen is silly. HQ had only run in one Group 1 before the Gns and finished 14th of 14. Her and Starcraft benefitted that day because they were the only 2 not put into the stalls.
Before the Arc Danedream was in brilliant form and bolted up in the Group 1's you are on about and she has won 5 of her last 8 races and 6 were Group 1's so how you can say that is a flash in the pan beggars a bit. And she not only won by 5 lengths the 2nd is not bad either and when she was beaten last time Galikova was also in that race and a good Group 1 winner in France. Ther is a lot of solid Group 1 form all around her unlike anything else in the race.
Her form is much stronger than Nathaniels or Sea Moon. But of course you can make excuses for them but not her.
Like I said, if she runs to form she wins. The trip will suit, the going will suit, the weight will suit and the opposition all have to improve to beat her. Can't be bad you know.

I will be laying Nathaniel for Plenty.Gosden is desperate to win the Trainers Championship so there was never any doubt he would run here and i dont think he wil win this year.Wherever Sea Moon finishes i will be Gob-Smacked if Dunaden is not a couple of lengths in front of him after all the trouble he met last time.CoolCool

bri, calm down fella,it's only my opinion, funny how u can make as many excuses as u want in the races she's been stuffed in since her Arc triumph,Well beat lto at Saint-Cloud,She won her arc on good ground,i shall be place laying her massively tomorrow,Don't fancy her at all.

Sorry Mag, I was on my way out. I'm not making excuses for her. None of the other runners tomorrow would have won in Japan and everyone knows last time, it was a hot race anyway, was falsely run. She stays well and will get a good pace tomorrow.
Nathaniel has won 2 Group 1's the first was questionable and in the other he beat Fahhr and Twice Over.
Sea Moon has never won a Group 1.
St Nic has won the Coronation Cup twice and the Breeder Cup race as Group 1's, lots of losses. Doubtful stayer.
The Japanese horse was lucky to win his Group 1 last time.
Reliable Man could surprise but was well behind Danedream and St Nic in the Arc.

What ever you say about th Arc the form looks pretty solid through the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th home.

Horseracingexpert, I own up to being "A TOTAL MORON", the ARC is the key to this race,
there are just two unknowns and they are NATHANIEL and DEEP BRILLANTE, NATHANIEL
beat ST NICHOLAS ABBEY in this last year by 4 lengths, DANEDREAM beat ST NICHOLAS ABBEY
by 6 lengths, others to run in this race were RELIABLE MAN 24 lengths behind DANEDREAM
and MASKED MARVEL 26 lengths last, who by the way had beaten BROWN PANTHER 3 lengths with
SEA MOON 1/2 a length further behind.
Her form does not stop there, at Hoppergarten she beat the GERMAN derby winner by about 18 lengths his name was WALDMARK, he had BROWN PANTHER about 18 lengths behind when he won the GERMAN Derby.
When she won at BADEN-BADEN she had MAGIC NIGHT 6 lengths behind and JOSHUA TREE a further 7 lengths away in third, JOSH had won the the group 1 at WOODBINE the previous season, from the year before' s winner REDWOOD, in fact it was this win that decided me to back her for the ARC before she was supplemented, as regards her form after her ARC win I will give you my reasoning for that AFTER she has WON.

Well put Baz. Win, lose or draw I think sh is the only runner who wins if she runs to form, everything else has to improve. I've put my reasoning already.

Dunaden and Red Cadeux are the same horse and RC wouldn't be placed in this and I think Sea Moon is riding on Stoute's coat tails, he hasn't the form to win.

Nathaniel is a serious danger, he has good form and stays very well I just don't know if he has the class to win. I know she has if she turns up in top form.

No more rain f/c at AscotCool and by 4-35 it'll be drying nicely.

For me, last years winner is the weakest of the three up there if it dries up more, it wont be the sedate pace he had last year which he got 1st run on them and for me thats what won him the race. Sea Moon's the hardest to weigh up as his trainer can get a lot of improvement out of his 4yo's, still imo on better ground id back SNA to beat him most times.

I still dont know how to take the Arc form as i maintained(and tipped him up) that SNA wasnt ridden to his full potential there, however at the odds i respect her and will sling her in a rfc with SNA and that will be my bet for the race

I'm gonna have a few on Dunaden and may have a saver on Sea Moon/Nathaniel I'm gonna choose tomorrow, on the basis that there are negatives for SNA Sea Moon and Nathaniel and therefore a surprise could be in order and I think Dunaden has been grossly overlooked. It was unlucky not at Ascot and made a solid attempt at a finish after being blocked off two or three times right up to the furlong pole. There is value in Dunaden, people say that it is not classy enough but then again people have said that neither SNA, Sea Moon or Nathaniel are not classy enough to win at group 1 level. It is a horse race over one and a half miles and a lot can happen, well done to anyone that can pick the winner in this

Mentioned by a few posters, the fact that DANEDREAM received the 3yo and sex allowance and is now a negative, yet not one poster has used the very same point about NATHANIEL receiving the age allowance in this race last year.
Why is there such inconsistency in peoples thinking?

SNA out to 4-1, which I find astonishingly good value!

Always get the feeling that AOB feels this is one of the very best he's had - but he blames himself for messing up SNA's Classic year - and SNA can add to the weight of evidence again today.

Since the bubble burst on firm ground in the 2010 2000 Guineas, they've quietly let the horse do the talking and, among other things, he's won the Coronation Cup at Epsom (i.e. his replay of the Derby they feel he could have won) easily 2 years running.

Quality field today, but I just don't see anything close to SNA except Nathaniel and I'm confident SNA can turn around last year's form in this. Last year was very dawdling pace and a much less experienced JOB rode a super-confident race, motionless till 2f out, then he'd let Nathaniel get first run (with 7lb weight advantage) and never got there. Can't see the O'Briens making the same mistake again and they have a pacemaker to help.

SNA to take another big step towards greatness - and to provide me with a good chunk of beer money along the way!

What a hypocrite. Do you wake up one day from the next and not realise what you've said the day before? Or is your brain/memory too small to retain your original opinion?

"kingG111111 20 Jul 12 17:08
danedream has a good chance tommorow, needs a strong pace, is a very nice horse"

"kingG111111 07 Jul 12 11:16
when did i say u can dicount every horse from the arc ? any one with any sense will tell you danedream is a camel and is completely pointless to judge form with it, if you ran the arc 100 times again, danedream would not win any of them.

Hey numbn uts you've lost me there? So using Danedream in a form line for the Eclipse is stupid because, quote, " any one with any sense will tell you danedream is a camel".
Yet 3 weeks later, quote, Danedream " is a very nice horse".

LaughLaughLaugh
The annoying thing though is that you've picked my fancy Sea Moon, at least I think you haveLaugh, though that could change come 4-34 today, knowing you.
