that may well be the case VB, but that is at advised prices. Given his usual affect on the odds, he would have to be miles ahead of the crowd to still be a winner at the revised odds. He is clearly ahead of the average and no doubt is a long term winner at BF advised odds, but he is a loser at BF SP odds and if he is a loser then his layers are winners.

value like i said hugh could be 1250 up himself granted but to me and you i think if you lost on average 3 pts per bet and say he has on average 8 winners a month thats 268 pts which nearly wipes away that years profit.

in my view all pricewise,hugh and all the other tipsters prove is only the top three people in them will make a profit the others down the ladder are on a hiding to nothing trying hopelessly to get the best possible prices for a certain time until they realise it is hopeless.

dont get me wrong duncan full respect to the man he is only doing what we are all trying to do it just does not work for the man sat at home its only my point of view, the prices have gone before the tips go up, and its difficult to get good amounts of money on.

totally agree, pup, Hugh has become a nuisance for other punters as he can bugger the price on one of your fancies if he puts it up and there is usually no value to be had if you are persuaded by his angle/argument for a tip.
however, it does annoy me when people try to undermine his ability by saying the odds are mythical...if you want to find out who can tip, give them all the morning prices and see who can turn a profit, which HT has done consistently and to some tune...the problem of the odds disappearing the moment the selections are known is an entirely different issue imo |

Agree with you duncan the man is good in reality its no use to me but i have respect for the man even if he is on a very poor run inwhich hugh himself would hold his hands up to it.I am sure their will be a winner around the corner but i can not bet that way i need regular winners to keep my head above water plus i do not want to blame anyone else but myself if i have a bad run .

the problem of the odds disappearing the moment the selections are known is an entirely different issue imo
yes agree duncan but its the down side of the tipping game that alot of people do not understand and that is a huge problem both hugh and pricewise as it looks to people they are messing about with the prices. |

I have followed gary o brien but people are right he tips a 33-1 shot and it is 12-1 within seconds.Hugh has said before backing 33-1 shots at 12-1 is waste of time. Trouble is my own sel dont win anyway so ineed some help james boyle is on an awful run at least if he tips an 16-1 shot u can get on the only prob is u get shut down whether they win or not me by corals and spoilsports.

can understand Hugh going for this selection today. all the form tying in with that brittania winner seems to be working out. someone once told me that one of the best systems in racing was to back all the horses that actually run in the brittania for the rest of their 3yo careers.

It is staggering how many people don`t seem to have grasped the most fundamental principles about betting.

Have re-read all the posts and agree with an earlier punter...
You individuals are all too far down the food chain to make any money... The selections are to be layed only. Friends and family get all the decent prices which have always gone before the tip is posted... And if you do not believe that statement why does he regularly say "another selection will follow".... when he should say "I will post my next selection when family and friends have had sufficient on to lay".... |
