given his overall record, no excuses need be made
By:
maybe Sporting Index could do a spread on his losing run? whats his losing total so far?
By:
Not necessarily
By:
But eventually.

yeh, only difference in a hugh winning streak is there winning at 3 0r 4 pts shorter than they should be,il de rey might have been the end of somepeoples losing streak yesterday but due to pricewise it was 4 pts shorter than it should have been, proving that anyone following hughe and pricewise lately can never truly turn it around,
thats if you believe the mantra that hugh and segal help pedal ,that you cant win by backing horses at the wrong price |
By:
thats 48 without a winner.
By:
Winning streak imminent
A roulette ball has no memory, imo... |
By:
thats if you believe the mantra that hugh and segal help pedal ,that you cant win by backing horses at the wrong price
That's the obscene part of the whole 'Sir Hugh'/ 'Sir Tom' confidence trick - by the time punters get to the horses they are the wrong price... |
By:
Utter nonsense.
By:
Care to expand Mfordy...?
By:
Unless you are a losing punter, you will not get on for anything like decent money at the advised prices.
I you are a Hugh follower you have done your rolloxs,if you ever get it back it will take an age at the prices you will get on at |
By:
Not necessarily.A couple of 28/1 shots in quick succession and all is recovered with interest.
By:
millhouse is correct.
backing tom segal at the prices advertised is worth it but u start taking sp or getting the prices once the advertised price has gone and you are cutting your profits by about 50%. pricewise makes about 150 points per year so if u only getting 50% of the prices then its hardly worth the effort. at least with him u have a 15 minute slot to get the odds advertised, with hugh taylor they disappear immediately. i imagine very few people can sit refreshing for ages and get the prices the second they are put up. |
By:
Artie Try getting a decent bet on a 28/1 shout that Hugh has tipped up. Not a chance.
Good luck to the followers, but you will end up skint, eventually |
By:
With the additional problem, as you yourself have found Siralex, that any 'follower' not losing any winnings back in other bets will be prevented by the bookmaking industry from being able to bet at all...
By:
Of course millhouse, if we can put the past behind us and have a sensible conversation.
To say that securing prices from successful tipsters who are in the public domain is impossible is not true. It is very, very difficult but that is an entirely different matter. If you are prepared endlessly to open new accounts, change your IP address, work with other people and have multiple computers operating with fast connections it can be done. It is tiresome but it is possible. |
By:
well if you do all of the above you obviously deserve to be involved in the 48 losing streak,
![]() |
By:
if it gets to a 100 the bookies will be doing a door to door service like asda,
![]() ![]() ![]() |
By:
Yes, I agree Mfordy, and I have done all of these things, but there comes a point where you run out of new accounts, and anyway, I fear the bookmaking industry are now becoming better and better at identifying accounts they don't want, and more importantly, they are now able to do this at an earlier stage.
But that's not my point - what I find totally obscene, and thoroughly cynical, is that the media platforms promote these columns as a means to help punters make a profit, when they know implicitly that anyone who does make a profit will simply be refused further bets by the bookmakers who offer their prices... |
By:
I deserve the losing runs as much as I deserve the enormous long-term profit that has been secured over the years.
The losing run is an irrelevance. I really have no idea why people are even discussing it although it must be tough for Hugh as he knows there are inexperienced punters who will always take the short-term view. |
By:
millhouse I agree with every word of your last post. I am no apologist for the so-called bookmakers I assure you. I know one or two rails bookies well and they despair as we do about how things have changed in the last twenty years or so.
By:
thats got to be the statement of the century, one of the leading 2 tipsters, followed by many in the country, has a losing run of 48 and its labled irrelevant and unworthy of discussion,
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
By:
It is a statistic, we know it will happen, a huge bank has been built which is there to cover these inevitable blips. Why the fuss?
By:
"statement of the century". I think not.
By:
I never thought I'd say this, but Mfordy is absolutely right - a losing run is inevitable.
Dealing with it psychologically is where most punters stand or fall, imho... |
By:
pricewise has had a bad time of it of late so i thought i would check the monthly profits, it reads as follows -
jan +36 feb +3 march +2 april -22 may -11 june +2 bearing in mind only 75% of the advertised prices are available and therefore every month bar january has been a loss. with no sign of it turning and now having signed up for laddies, thats why i stopped. |
By:
2 great forum stalwarts Lazarus and Millhouse in blissful agreement...the planets truly have aligned this afternoon
![]() |
By:
What can I say - I have had Hugh Taylors card marked for many a year...
Can I have a "job" on ATR tipping horses for alleged profit... If I can please let me back the horses beforehand so that when I post my selections and the price halves I can lay it back for a profit... Once again nice work if you can get it..... |
By:
What on earth are you on about. The prices collapse because they are value in the long run. Why would they need to be layed back?
By:
Oh dear...
By:
Hugh is on record as saying he does not back his tips before they go online
By:
And I am record as saying that I will give up drinking for a week....
By:
yes, but Hugh is an honourable man
By:
the worst weather for 200 years this last couple of months anyone will always find it harder when the ground is like this im suprised no one has mentioned it
By:
He is reduced to tipping 5/1 just to get a winner sad sad man
By:
Hugh is a always worth a read and although I'm not a follower I always take his views at the bigger meetings for jackpot and placepot perms.
I would be very surprised if there were any integrity issues with his tipping and he seems a really genuine bloke. Lazarus your new found restraint is to be commended. |
By:
Anyone who thinks HT's run of form is unusual or makes him a bad judge simply doesn't understand gambling and should never place another bet. Tipping at the odds he does it's inevitable he will get this sort of losing run from time to time - those who win in the long term keep their cool in such circumstances and wait for it to turn. Losing punters (1.01 that those making snide comments on here fall into this category) start panicking and placing mug bets.
By:
i have a lot of respect for the guy.
notice he is going for shorter prices,(even went ew yesterday)think we all do it on a bad run. might have a winner today. |
By:
the guy is the best tipster out there by a country mile...anyone who understands chaos theory etc knows that these runs are inevitable if your average odds advised are 6/1 plus....a tipster in the press once gave 19 straight losers at average odds of only 2/1.
By:
difficult to defend 50 in a row, dont think hugh will be looking for excuses. After all any tippster giving that amount of lossers whoever that maybe will know themselves.
