If it was me I would back a couple of outsiders that had half a chance and then post my selections... Once the price had halved I would lay them back... |

He is on a poor run and IMO is putting up selections some days when he states he cant really find any value! So why put up a selection? Odd.
I have to now get my bets on before 10am incase any clash with Hugh's. Mindyou same can be said for Gary's as well. |

People saying it is impossible to get on at the prices.
Open four tabs, Hugh Taylor twitter page.. at the races site.. and two online accounts. Hugh updates as to when selections will appear, go to the atr site and at this point keep refreshing his column until it appears. Dont waste time reading it first and go straight to both online accounts see which offers better value on the selection and go with that. This should take about 30 seconds. I usually have a look at what Hugh has to say on the weekends but with some of the racing thats on during the week its madness to be betting most days. I do think Hugh once in a while though needs to just pick what he really thinks will win a race, he talks about overpriced horses and to be fair there are usually good reasons they are overpriced. He is on a terrible run at the moment, to be fair of his 18 or so Royal Ascot picks four of them may have one had they been ridden properly. |

he's said on Form Factor previously that he's employed to write a daily column and so 'no bet' isnt an option. essentially it's content for the site rather than purely a tipping service. |

I don't back Hugh's tips because I know I won't get on anywhere near price quoted but I still reckon he is someone who works extremely hard and is an excellent judge and as such always worth listening to.
Can't really understand why he should get such spiteful comments but that's Betfair Forum life I suppose. |

IMO you can write a daily column without putting up a selection every day. If Hugh does not think anything is worth backing he should not be forced to put up a selection.
Apart from that i think he is a good judge, just a shame the bookies react like lemmings to his selections. Mindyou nothing surprises me with them these days, especially as i nearly got ripped off by one of them a few weeks ago, thankfully i didnt let it drop and they paid me out in the end. |

It is barely mathematically possible au contraire! Hugh has on more than one occasion discussed losing runs and shown that, given an ave SP of 10/1, a losing run of 35+ is mathematically likely in the course of any given year |

Hugh Taylor ,by far the smartest tipster around , been racing and backing over 50 years ,pretty easy to go on long losing runs ,he will be back ,at the end of the year will have made 250 to 300 points profit, Would follow but cant get those early prices that he recomends

a losing run is inevitable in gambling,but hugh remains one of the few "tipsters" worth listening to.Even After showing a profit on the atr website for the last 3 years he has not gone down the dishonourable route of charging punters for his selections like some so called "tipsters",henry ricks,peter norton,mervin colier and tompson etc.Get off his back,you get the selection free.

It really is beyond all belief that the prices he recommends are never available, yet people are still following the tips.
No wonder the bookmakers run their ads all over his webpage. Clearly he's a great tipster, but anyone who thinks this column is helping anyone apart from ATR's business partners really needs to sit down and have another think about it, imo. 'Getting the tip for free', as mentioned above, is one thing, but, unequivocally, the tip is worthless if it's impossible to get the value... |

in fairness to hugh i think he did mention bankroll strategy once on the yawn factor. he did actually predict a losing run for himself of around 50 at some time as well. so you were all warned
