Anyone remember Adonijah? Not one of his best but won the first race at Epsom the day El Gran Senor got chinned by Secreto which has always stuck in my mind. Oh So Sharp was always the filly that Henry said was his best when asked the question.
|
|
By:
Yep, i backed him at 10-1 for Epsom, had about 1/2 the stake on when he won at Arsecot

How different would the last 15-20 years of British racing look if Sheikh Mohammed had stuck with Henry Cecil?

Always frustrating Figg, i was a little disappointed by his run at the Curragh but decided him and Assatis were too big so backed them both ew at 10s and 50s respectively.
Didnt Cecil virtually monopolise the Racing Post trophy around the 80s/Early 90s Peter Davies High Estate Dunbeath Reference Point Any others?? |

I also had a good bet on Sabrehill at Newbury. I was in the bookies to see it win easily by about 6 lengths, then went to do a bit of shopping. Called in Dones to catch up on the later results and was stunned to see Sabrehill had been disqualified. I asked a bloke what the hell had happened, he said don't worry Fred pays 1st past the post, I said "yeah but I backed it in ****in' Laddies!"

Did Sabrehill actually get injured at York , or was Ezzoud just too good ?
![]() Very Odd Horse Ezzoud [:(] |

think that killer instinct debut was at ascot, was 2nd if my memory is right beaten by a horse that went on to win craven and against all the odds won the eclipse, i was on him at sandown at 20/1, guess that horse answers later
