I agree about Johns Spirit. It won the same prep race last year. I do like Persian Snow that finished second to JS recently. He has less experience so should improve significantly from that run. I shan't be having a bet until I see the 5 day decs though.

I really fancy Attaglance in this.
Initially thought that he'd struggle having been upped for his second at the Festival (and given that he's not been prolific to say the least), but looking at the race, he'll get in off about 10-10, which looks perfect, and he'll be getting a good bit more weight from those that beat him in recent runs at Cheltenham than previously. On these terms I think he's got a blinding chance, and thought he had a nice warm-up the other day at Market Rasen. Yard had a well-supported winner today too. |

Weighs go up 9 or 10 lbs.
Think Ballycasey will run for Mullins. Said he'd go for a handicap first and not a 3 miler. Hope he does obviously having taken a tenner at a big price. With him and Uxizandre in here there will be serious pace on up front. I hope Ruby sits in 2nd though and doesn't take him on too early. But still high weights for both might cost them. Race will be run to suit John's Spirit again. But surely he is too high now. Also see Cantlow got dropped 4lbs, Geraghty did good work the last say so. Horse was 2nd in Dec h/c off 2lbs higher. Easter Meteor with Pipe is very interesting. Looks a good race |

Caid du berlais and mr mole look well handicapped not sure if they are intended runners......... Caid du berlais was entered the other day but was a non runner not sure why? Maybe preserving handicap mark?

I like Cantlow. Ran a shocker first time up last season then won on 2nd run in a decent hcp at Hennessy meeting. Has had his below par first run again this season and probably prepped for this and not badly handicapped. Lamool, should he get a run will get in bang on 10st. Improving fast and maybe ahead of the handicapper?

the ground is going to be the key factor in this race , its tempting to steel prices ,
but wait and see the ground conditions , not easy this year , ave already had a bit on the pipe runner , but am keeping me powder dry unto i see the ground ! sorry ibro not keen on your sel sorry , loads of ability , but tends to make too many jumping errors , this race is normally run at a fair rate , not for the chicken hearted ! |

Present View has won on Soft and Good so not other there. The form of his prep hurlde run has a solid enough look to it aswell with Vicente placing 2nd in the Grade 2 Persian War last time out when he was conceding weight all round and got beat by a horse who had won it's previous 3 races. Form looks solid enough so if Present View has a clear round of jumping on Saturday then receiving weight off most of the field i'd expect him to make the frame, and hope for better. Question is an Jamie Snowden train a PP winner? I don't see why not if the horse is good enough, trainer has ridden and worked with the best so hopefully it comes off!

With the going likely to be testing i'm looking for something carrying a low weight and open to further improvement. Indian Castle looks a fair e-w shout and also has a course and distance win under his belt.

Caid Du Berlais catches my eye, low weight, good early season and cheltenham form, looked impressive on his jumps debut, any amount of improvement in him in a wide open race.

Followed CdB over a cliff last season and have told myself to leave him alone. Think he's a bit of a dodgepot, although clearly got the potential to win one of these big handicaps.
