Attempting to win
A dissapointing day all round with the horses all seeming to travel well to a stage without any of them winning. Aather looked in need of the run unfortunately, however travelled well to a point and could go well when fully fit. Youm Jamil travelled well into the race and dropped out rather alarmingly to be beaten around 50 - 60 lengths. Becoming a very dissapointing horse. Balthazar King the less said about the farce the better! Looked to be going very well, I though he was going to win from his position but many people on the forum felt their's was going to win and I haven't seen the race again, so maybe there were others going even better. (only solice I can gain is that I stuck £5 on Garde Champetre out of loyalty which somehow gained my losses back!) As for Theologist, I dont know where to begin. He travelled supremely well, much better than usual with the blinkers working their predicted magic. Cruised through the race and to all the world looked like he had the race in the bag (1.14 IR backs this up!) still unsure how he was beaten but to be fair it was a few lengths at the line. One good point to talk about however was the Chasing Debut of Sprinter Sacre. As hoped he put in an exemplary round of jumping after a few scetchy early leaps and rocketed up the doncaster straight after pulling his riders arms out (almost litteraly) as is his want. Now only 7.6 in the arkle market so hope you took the advised 9.8 yesterday!

On to today. Back to cheltenham we go, with some great bets lined up to hopefully put us back into profit. (as I am writing there is a fourth inspection at doncaster so apologies in advance if it is indeed abandoned)

Overall: - 0.1pt

Bet 1: 2pts Treble on Hinterland @ 1/3 (12.10 Chelt) Oscar Whiskey @ 4/7 (3.35 Chelt) Tennis Cap @ 6/4 (12.15 Navan) Accumulated odds 5.23

Bet 2: 1pt e/w Clerks Choice @ 12/1 3.05 Cheltenham

Bet 3: 1pt win Halley @ 7/2 1.55 Cheltenham

Bet 4: 1.5pts win Salut Flo @ 10/1 2.30 Cheltenham

Bet 6: 1pt e/w War Of The World @ 20/1 3.20 Doncaster

Planty to get stuck into there Wink Happy punting all, hope lucks on your side!

A much better day today with the 8-1 NAP winning comfortably and a 14-1 shot making the frame in 3rd rewarding the e/w.

It moves the overall points into profit with + 6.4 pts

Tomorrows racing looks again to be of a very good quality, with the first day of Cheltenham's December meeting and some competitive racing from Doncaster.
Doncaster in particular excites me as it features the return of one of my horses to follow for the season in the shape of Sprinter Sacre. This horse had the look of a top quality chaser in the making last season with his athletic build and some extravagent leaps of hurdles. (not to mention his high quality form culminating in a 3rd in the supreme at the festival) If he takes to fences as his size and scope suggest he will the 9.8 on Betfair for the Arkle will not be around for long. As I would never advise to take such a short price as he no doubt will be tomorrow, my advice is to back him for the arkle. There is a very strong possibility he will go much lower than 9.8 and could create a 'free bet' scenario. This horse is a chaser in the making, and I have already assigned my alliegence to him for the 2013 Champion Chase!

On to tomorrows bets now with our 'healthy' profits ready to be spent and be increased further! I thought I would try and explain my selections a little bit more in an attempt to add substance to the selection.

Bet 1: 3pts win Theologist 3.20 Doncaster @ 7/2 (NAP)
A strong stayer who I fancied last time out but has a tendancy to run lazily. Looks the ideal candidate for blinkers and has a huge chance of making amends for last time out.

Bet 2: 0.5 pts e/w Balthazar King 2.20 Cheltenham @ 14/1
Must be taken with a pinch of salt as he ran an abysmal race 2 runs ago but his best form has come on a fast surface, has run well at cheltenham on a different part of the course and indicates he will stay further than 3m2f (tomorrows 3m7f on firm ground) On best form could run a big race and at a price is definatley worth a bet.

Bet 3: 0.5pts e/w Aather 12.35 Cheltenham @ 25/1
Difficult ride and possibly not the sort of ride for a 10 lb claimer but definitley weighted to win a similar level contest. Went close off this mark (121) in Jan '10 looking the winners but idling badly (I remember as I was on!) would be much more confident with a more experienced rider but 25/1 is much too big a price and should be back (admittedly with caution)

Bet 4: 1.5 pts win Youm Jamil 1.35 Doncaster @ 8/1
One of few horses to achive a lower jumps rating than flat but finally ran well over hurdles from 3 lbs out of the handicap last time out on his H'cap debut. Runs from 2 lbs out of it tomorrow which in essence makes him 1 lb lower than his last run. Looks like a galloping 2m will suit him well and the same jockey (Harry Skelton) keeps the ride. Definitley looks one to keep an eye on closely and could run a big race.

Good luck all. lets hope for some more luck tomorrow!

A dissapointing day on tuesday, (Thought we may salvage part of the e/w on Goring Two at 33/1, but he was unable to hold off a late challenger for 3rd place and ultimately finished 4th! typical!) I was also unable to find any decent betting oppertunities for today.

Overall - 5pts but we move on to tomorrow!

Tomorrows cards look very intruging, with some very good quality racing with the highlight being The Peterborough Chase. fingers crossed for some winners!

Bet 1: 1pt e/w Mr Moonshine @ 14-1, 2.00 Huntingdon
Bet 2: 1pt win This Masquerade @ 9-1, 2.30 Huntingdon (NB)
Bet 3: 1pt win If I Were A Boy @ 13-2, 2.10 Ludlow
Bet 4: 2pts win Midnight Haze @ 8-1, 2.40 Ludlow (NAP)

Good Luck for tomorrow if backing and hope luck is one your side!
