By:
Is he injured or not?^
By:
Unsure if he's out for season? Any ideas?
By:
I heard he was ruled out for season but it would be no surprise were he to turn up somewhere like the gold cup and judging by his price the market is unsure as well.

This was at the end of May.
WEAPON'S AMNESTY, as short as 6-1 third favourite for the Totesport Gold Cup at Cheltenham, is set to miss the race according to trainer Charles Byrnes. The seven-year-old defeated Burton Port by seven lengths in the Grade 1 RSA Chase at last season's festival to earn quotes of just 6-1 from Ladbrokes and Stan James for the 2011 Gold Cup, but having failed to come out of that race in good shape, Byrnes and owner Michael O'Leary have given him the season off. "He sustained a ligament injury at Cheltenham and hasn't made the recovery we'd hoped for," said Byrnes on Sunday, "so we have decided to give him the year off." Weapon's Amnesty's impressive win in the RSA Chase was his second over fences from six starts. He also finished second in the Grade 1 Dr PJ Moriarty Chase at Leopardstown. Weapon's Amnesty was also successful at the Cheltenham Festival in 2009, when he got the better of Pride Of Dulcote by half a length in the Grade 1 Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle. |

Bensalem (must be on a lot of Hennessy shortlists) and Sang Bleu two notable exceptions for me. What's worse are some of the ones that are in it...good though they once were who in their right mind is going to stick in Moon Over Miami or Our Vic for instance

A week of study begins today. Must remember not to be too obvious. Must not get talked around by pundits who probably don't know any more than I do.
I love the jumps. Points start soon. ![]() |

Looked at Joncol yesterday with keen interest. Have to say, although I never expected it to win, and appreciate it was looked after when any chance was gone, I was really concerned with its tendency to jump right at virtually every fence.
He developed this at the latter stages of his last two runs at Leopardstown, but it appears to have got more apparent. I looked at this one for the big Irish chases, but would be concerned at the amount of ground he loses. Also, does anyone have any news on the drift for Arvika? |
By:
one way became clear for me over the week-end..be it rightly or wrongly on my part...but with sizing europe sticking to 3 miles...he's out of my list!!

i'm trying to decide whether to push the boat out and submit 2 lists this year
![]() |
By:
what are your final lists ?
By:
None finalised yet. Key event tomorrow - decs are out for the Paddy Power, so finalising lists before that event would be a pooooooor show!
Try and wait til very close to the deadline before submitting to get every last bit of information. Sad eh! |
