Interesting race coming up - big on Tataniano, but disregarded Forpadydeplasterer due to his seconditus. Watch him hose up now!
By:
killer for me that was....forpady cost me last year and i cursed him throughout.....never even considered him this time round...till the last minute when i stuck him in...with todays race in mind.....gutted.
By:
Phew, that would have been a bad result. Gauvain not in the comp, which is good. Tataniano will be better on faster ground.
By:
First points with Solwhit.
![]() Hope Long Run is over popular as he seemed like an obvious horse to take on. |
By:
Forpaddy might have the worst case of seconditus I've come across. Don't think 3 miles will help him either.
By:
Solwhit (we're big on him) and Menorah (in a couple) within a space of a few minutes.
By:
Anyone know how long untill the leaderboard gets put up
By:
probably over night.....solwhit for me...but with binocular as well....couldn't put menorah in.
By:
had menorah & tornado in one...........
with captain chris 2nd & forpaddy 2nd ![]() |
By:
Solwhit in most of my lists but typical no Menorah with it,from what would normally be a 'what do you have the PP winner with a Hennessy horse'? is now a Solwhit/Hennessy,Menorah/Hennessy,or preferably a Solwhit,Menorah/Hennessy horse. Denman is my main hope
By:
had solwhit with cue card(with everyone else though) but forpady and long run let me down....need waf to turn over ic next week...finians rainbow to turn up somewhere and do the business....along with binocular in the ff and pandorama in the hennessy...not too much to ask is it

By:
this year more than any,big questions to ask,my main one is : Kauto/Denman/Master Minded? too old/gone? know MM is a youngster, but no Ruby to pilot, even the monster Big Bucks, the flat TTF is a guessing game, this is on par
By:
Agree not easy this year....maybe changing of the guard. Solwhit did well for us, and I really like this horse. May never win a Champion Hurdle, but always puts it all in, and seldom runs a poor race, especially on home soil.
Big couple of weeks coming up, with a few big guns coming out, to show what they can do. |
By:
Losing Ruby is a big blow for the PN Nicholls horses.
KS is still probably the one to beat in the KG. Denman has had a lot of hard races and I think will struggle to win much. MM had a wind op and could return in good enough shape to mop up points before the festival. WAF had a wind op too (I think) and could yet prove a useful point scorere (perhaps on raids to Ireland). BB is an odd sort, but should be too good for anything he meets. |
By:
waf has had a wind op

I have 2 lines with 3 winners in, Cue Card and Time for Rupert in 2, one with Wayward Prince and one with Solwhit.
Un fortunately each of these lines in polluted with lousy stabs at the Paddy Power, Great Endeavour and Sunnyhilboy, and its not easy to see both these two scoring nul points. The best start I have made for a few years but its very early days. Much for me will depend on my stabs at the Hennessy - Kauto Star, What A Friend and Burton Port. I could certainly do without Big Bucks or Binocular going wrong too. |
By:
it would be a whole lot worse if little josh was in the comp.
By:
you've got to love solwhit for this comp haven't you...first name on the list for me....tough as nails.....guaranteed to run in all the irish grade 1's....and with hurricane fly.....only an occasional opponent.....faces little opposition each time.
By:
I really wish I had put Solwhit in more than one miserable line though!
I struggled to find space for him generally because he looks inferior to the big 2 at the head of the champion hurdle betting. |
By:
you don't really need to worry about the champion though.....every chance he'll rack up 75 points or so before the festival.....the champion is a bonus....and there is also the possibility of the aintree 2 and a half mile race.
By:
yes alright - don't rub it in I should have made him a banker!
Anyway he might meet some better opposition before too long so I'm not sure he'll gather as many points as you think. |
By:
sorry...wasn't trying to rub it in
...don't know where the irish opposition (hf) aside is coming from mind you....liable to always get his ground also. |

By: TEN2FOLLOWER When: 13 Nov 10 11:54 The Novemeber comp hots up today.
Ten, interested in how you compile your lists. Big bucks in every list except your November targeted ones, yet the horse is taking the same route as last year. Do you think he will not win the Long Distance hurdle, or was it an oversight, if so would you not have been better to use the same wisdom as your gamble on Denman and just left him out of all your lists. Zaynar Denman...an zany dream All them lists and you totally left him out again Tentutfollowerrrrr |

Solwhit is The Limestone Lad/Solerina type for this comp,i thought that was an impressive reappearance yest, only 6 and should score heavily so put it in most of lists, need one more big Newbury win from 'The Mighty' and i'll be pleased, got Solwhit with 6 Hennessy horses,no Ruby is worrying me for all the big guns though
By:
Solerina never got past 40 points
By:
Not true - Solerina scored 72 points in the 2005/2006 season.
By:
bit cheesed off that finians rainbow missed out at the week end....and looking at this saturday....ascot, haydock and huntingdon and there's one 2.5 novice chase between the lot of them....and he's not entered.
By:
If things fall into place (which they never do), we could have a nice list by the end of November:
Long Run - zero Master Minded - Ascot Chase (20?) Big Buck's - Newbury Hurdle (20?) Denman - Hennessy (50+) Cue Card 12 Zaynar - Ascot Hurdle (25) Kauto Star - zero (non runner for Hennessy) Imperial Commander - Betfair Chase (25) Solwhit 25 Binocular - Fighting Fifth (25) This was our attempt at November prize. Was a toss up between Zaynar amd Menorah for the final slot, and I thought it would be easier for Zaynar to win his race than for Menorah to win Greatwood. ![]() |

Limestone Lad and Solerina used to mop up the Irish staying hurdles without much opposition. Solwhit is in the 2 mile division which can be pretty hot. Doubt he'll win at the festival, but a stiff 2m or an easier 2 1/2 mile is ideal. Year before last he skipped Chelts and won the 2 1/2 Aintree race.
The reverse seems to be true in Ireland for chases where 3m events areus ually better contested than 2m+ which allowed the great Moscow Flyer to harvest points and Nickname a few years back. Big Zeb is a class above his rivals but looks to only have two races planned before the festival, which could allow a horse like Golden Silver to benefit. |

In reply to someones question about a leaderboard, they usually publish one after the Hennessy. We have at least 1 line with 3 in so far. Cue Card, Menorah and Solwhit. (Three Wise Men)
By:
Did 4 lines and have the 3 wise men in 2 of them so I supposed you could say I've hit the ground running. Already annoyed though at including Reve De Sevola instead of Wayward Prince!

By:
There is indeed 10k dividend for Nov and April, 20 for Dec, Jan, Feb. 25k for the Festival
By:
I thought the november prize was well worth a bash as you know so many of the horses early targets and plans, loads of valuable races to target. In reality my november lines are very similar to my overall ones with the likes of Binocular, Solwhit and Imperial Commander all out in nov. Manyriverstocross has let me down but I'm sure theres a big handicap in him somewhere, perhaps the totegold trophy!

By:
I once targetted the February prize and had the RP Chase winner, but still came up short.

Wonder what first prize will be?
£276,530 is my guess. |
