this is becoming more annoying than the memory leakage issue. the two problems are competing to see which will force me to open a new tab first.

IVE FOUND OUT THAT IF YOU GET A LONG EXTENTION LEAD AND TAKE YOUR COMPUTER OUT TO THE MIDDLE OF THE GARDEN ,IT SEEMS TO WORK BETTER ,BUT DONT PUT IT NEAR YOUR WASHING LINE AS YOU WILL BE IN YOUR PARTNERS OR MUMS WAY WHEN SHE HANGS THE WASHING OUT

JUST TAKE SOME STONES OUT WITH YOU TO PUT ON ANY LOOSE PAPERS THAT YOU NEED TO WRITE ON INCASE ITS WINDY

Hi Do Wah, please dont hi-jack this thread, it's an important issue to a lot of people. Thank you
By:
OK SORRY THANK YOU FOR BEING NICE TO ME I WILL GO AWAY NOW

Thank you Do Wah

Every ten minutes my screen freezes for approx 45 seconds trying to load a market.
By:
yeah me too..im on the old format i wonder if its a ruse to get us to convert in frustration
By:
wouldnt put it past them. I would rather have all the problems in the world at present than use the new site. The new site is a shocker and should be scrapped without delay.

It's been worse the last few days than any time since I started this thread.
Just in case you missed my post of last month: I've had a response to this issue from somebody in a senior position at Betfair. They do acknowledge the problem despite the Helpdesk blaming it on us. It is a consequence of them running two sites (Beta and Classic). During October they will be "releasing a number of significant changes to the betslip and user journeys that will see a considerable improvement to the website performance." |
By:
Perhaps if they spent less talkin b*llshit and more time on the site things might improve. What the feck is a "user journey"?
By:
It's a nightmare at the moment.

worse than ever.
By:
these last few days have bee terrible especially when opening multiple tabs with different markets
By:
I thought it was my firewall (Mcafee), but tonight it's gone very slow again, middle of the night so it can't be traffic?
I wonder why they don't just ditch the new site if that is what's causing the problem. |
By:
You need to email betfair if you have a problem, no use moaning here
By:
a user journey sounds like an account of heroin addiction to me.
By:
Another regular problem i have is i cant go from one coupon to another. I have to click on Sports again and reset the menu.
By:
I am constantly having to almost 'double click' to get some of Betfair pages to load ....
By:
when are the proposed improvements due?
By:
Haven't had the "Loading.... Please wait while the market loads" message at all this week, whereas it was worse than ever last week. Did they sort it or have I just been lucky?
By:
Think uve been lucky. Its getting worse. I know its not a laughing matter but i went for a shiit, shave and made a cup of tea came back and it was still trying to load the market. The site is hopeless at moment.
By:
I've given up on it. Really angry they haven't bother to fix it after all this time. The new site isn't as user friendly as the classic site.
Couple of things I don't like after trying it for a bit is that when adding favourites it adds them one after another rather that grouping markets from the same match together. The left menu showing the different markets for a match does not scroll through leaving what you were looking at on the page like on the classic site. These 2 things are sure to slow you down and waste a few seconds which can be crucial if busy. |
By:
Yeah, I was probably lucky for a few days. It's been worse this week, yesterday was absolutely horrible.
By:
LOADING...
Please wait while the market loads. |
By:
Same here, seems to be getting worse. Also now have the added problem that I keep getting logged out (3 or 4 times a day) though my username and balance still appear, so everything appears normal until I try to place a bet. grrrrr
By:
Yep, the problem is as bad as ever at the moment. It's been half a year. I'll send another email to see what's going on but I don't expect much.
It's ridiculous and I actually place less money as a result as I'm very wary of getting caught out as an event is about to begin. |
By:
I haven't bothered to send an email, because I dreaded the delete your cookies response, but today I finally did, figuring it would be better to let them know than moan about it here. This is the response I got:
Thank you for your e-mail. This could possibly be an issue with your browser or laptop/computer etc although that's not to say it is definitely not a problem from our end. What browser are you using when accessing the site, maybe try using a different browser. The usual 3 used are Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Firefox. Also are you aware how to delete cookies and cache as this could help to speed your internet up. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further enquiries. ![]() Templeton, I'm also placing less bets because of this and even mentioned so in my email to them. |
By:
That was the response I was getting, even when I got someone to call me.
I'll be emailing a couple of people who will be more in the know that the Helpdesk. The Helpdesk is not much use for anything other than stock answers, although the @BetfairHelpdesk twitter account is worth following/contacting. |
By:
I'm getting this too now. It is not my setup. 1.01 its betfair IMO.
By:
those replies really get me started. why on earth are they implementing new useless stuff to the site and even try to build a new interface, instead of sticking to the basics?
By:
lol man if you email the helpdesk about absolutely anything the reply normally 2 or 3 days later always says to delete cookies.
Try using the new site at least you can change pages on it. When they first had the beta site I had "try again" next to the total available so it was a no go, at least that is fixed now. I have to say for the amount they charge us in commission, take off us through cross matching and the penny pinching they do when bets are settled, the service from betfair is shamefully rubbish. I never have any problems with the other exchanges. |

LOADING...
Please wait while the market loads. |

By:
It's a nightmare in this Leeds match.
By:
Isn't it just. If I didn't have a bot I wouldn't be betting here.
By:
Same problem here. It's infuriating + making using the site very difficult.
By:
I thought it was just me. It's the worst I've ever known it. Every time I click one of my saved markets it takes an eternity to load.
