I would also like to see RUK as quick as Turf Tv and we know this possible now using the quicker BT route.

At the end of the day the majority of people having a bet on Betfair do so for the simple reason of getting a better price with an option to green up if their selection allows them too END OF , if you want to start getting technical you deserve everything you get!!! who cares about time delays????

Anybody who bets IR from home and says its unfair must be an idiot. If people are happy to bet knowing that they are at a disadvantage whtas the problem. if they dont know its their fault.

What's the problem Ron, don't you want a level playing field?

Obviously not

The thing is that with IR someone will always have an edge its like the arms race, at least we know we are at a disadvantage and can make our decisions accordingly.

You can have a level playing field its called going to the races thats what i do, but then again i am not playing at it I take it seriously(if you cant do that dont bother), absolutaly love pinching money from all you IR players at home!!
Dont be critical of betfair if they were not around you would still be getting your pants pulled down by Mr high street bookmaker.
GET A GRIP!!!

I spend thousands going up and down the country to race meetings do you lot think you can have the same advantage as me,with no outlay, sat at home with a nice cuppa and the heating on, watching TV!!
GET REAL!!!!!!!!

All those spouting, you get what you deserve blah blah. It will never change blah blah. Perhaps might not be so** sure when the tax man and every other person we don't want poking around start taking an interest. Everyone is so precious about protecting thier own little racket on here they block out everything they don't want to hear.

scoop6winner, you must be one these poor players who can't make it pay without an advantage. You'll be back stacking shelves in Tesco if we ever get a level playing field imo.

But surely you would also prefer it if you could save thousands of pounds in travel expenses and stay at home and play off the same pictures in the warm with a cup of tea?

Would you not be making even more if you could cut out all the expenses?

Sounds like you're just concerned about your Gravy train drying up, not very public spirited are you?

FACT 1 - i won just short of £400 grand oneday at the races so stacking shelves at Tesco is not on my agenda.
FACT 2- since then i have won £82 grand in the last 3 years and had some great days out doing it.
FACT 3- There will always be mug punters sat at home playing the IR markets.
FACT4- For the forseable future there will always be time delays on TV pictures
FACT5-I love horse racing, winning money and getting one over on people who cant be bothered to wake up and smell the coffee.
FACT6-Life is all about the survival of the fittest and all you lot moaning on hear are obviously not fit enough!!!!

£82K in three years? You must be a poor player, some trading shop players make more than that every couple of months.

Lippy,
betfair is in terms of a high user interface quite unique in betting terms,
I believe it would be sensible to protect new custom as much as possible and therefore would think it reasonable to have higher profile warning of the problem - regardless of it being a non issue to me directly.

I have no interest in stopping IR betting, far from it but the dodgier the perception of the 'act' the more likely a heavy handed approach to it's resolution..

2 sub points not for Lippy -
horse racing betting is in terminal declline as a % of the betting industry long term so can we stop using that as the yardstick for betting full stop.

and can Feck stop pretending that a) the PC is aimed at redressing a 'perceived' ** advantage and that being a good studier of the dark art of horse racing betting (and it is one) is somehow more virtuous than trading cricket betting in running with no personal advantage - as that's what I read everytime you post about PC regardless of your intention.

By the way scoop...

If your lifestyle is as good as you say, why do you see fit to rub other people's noses in it?

The very people who pay your vast wages of 82k over 3 years I might add

Listen i am not blowing my own trumpet and of course it would be nice to have a level playing field, but i have and many other investors have found an oppertunity to gain an advantage thats what it is all about.

what i cant understand is that the majority of people on this thread think betting IR is designed for people watching on TV, IT IS NOT , you are trying to justify/or make excuses why you cant get an edge.so now you are blaming the TV broadcasts. BETFAIR does exactly what it says on the tin.

i spent the best part of 70 grand last year watching racing with a total income of 102 grand . So if i am prepared to put money into racing why should i not have first crack of the whip.

£32K profit? If you were a good player you could have made more than that playing from home and certainly a lot more from a trading shop and saved yourself all the hassle and expense.
By:

Told you i am not greedy. i enjoy myself as well as make money. taking 10 of my mates to cheltenham tomoz and i am sure thay will have a top day too. I dont need some muppet on here telling me wot to do when they have not figured it out yet. im the winner and i will be spending more on champagne tomoz than you trade in a year,
p.s
you keep betting from your armchair with a furlong to go when i know the race is over, think about me tomoz when you do it might teach you a lesson.

Your all the same you 10 bob EW punters. lol

I, for one, do not believe it is possible to make £32k a year betting in-running. Pie in the sky stuff.

Another clueless muppet.

You won't be winning a penny off me long term and when we do get Turf Tv speed pics for all the game is over for the likes of you.
By:
scoop6winner.
When: 13 Nov 09 19:55
I have laid horses for 2 grand at 1.5 when they have been on the deck.on many occasions..

TOP TIP!!!

DONT PLAY IN RUNNING WITH LESS THAN 4 FURLONGS TO GO IF YOU ARE WATCHING ON TV....

How much more can i tell you.... or are you lot still trying to justify your p1ss porr judgement.......lol
By:

At least i seem to be getting through to you Jack.......

The good judges can play inside the final 4 furlongs from home and still make it pay. You are obviously just a clueless hooverer.

Thats it again you are goin on about judgement(how many good judges are there not many) i bet on FACT!!!!

you must have some sort of special powers judgeing that a horse will fall 4 furlongs out......lol

you keep setting yourself up mate....
