you don't get it jam do you.
i'd already said that imo it wasn't the best. i then went on to give some reasons why it's widely regarded as the best. but of course you chose to ignore that in order to try and make a point, in the same way as you told everyone the fact that an english club had won the cl last season had to be ignored. why????????? because these things don't suit your prejudices do they??????????? |
By:
You clearly said 'quantifiably its the best'.
Keep going back to that first post if you like, all it shows is that you changed your mind. You were clearly trying to argue that it was 'quantifiably the best' due to viewing figures etc. |
By:
once again you're making it up.
i don't deride people who watch the premiership abroad. i deride people in this country who attach themselves to a spanish club rather that a premiership club in order to gloryhunt. |
By:
So you dont mind the people in Asia etc who follow Premier League teams?
By:
quantifiably it's the most watched, and commercially successfull,.
as i said my initail posting made it clear what i thought. but as per you ignored that in your gloryhunting urge to have an argument. because it wouldn't go with the case you wanted to make would it? |
By:
No you said 'quantifiably it is the best' you clearly said that and used viewing figures etc as quantifiable factors regardless of what you said in that opening post.
mexicano • October 24, 2012 9:58 PM BST so you agree that as far as anything "quantifiable" the english is best. mexicano • October 24, 2012 10:36 PM BST quantifiable is a number of things. viewing figures commercial success. trophys won Caught telling porkies mexicano. |

Who is my 'top class local team'?
Simple question Mexicano - do you believe that viewing figures and commercial success make the Premier League the best in the world? IN YOUR OPINION? |
By:
JamDav1982 24 Oct 12 23:20
Who is my 'top class local team'? Depends where you live. I assume you don't live in Barcelona. |
By:
Nope I dont Biscuits.
By:
So who is your local team?
By:
Why does it matter?
By:
having said initially that imo it wasn't the best, i then went on to demonstrate that was an opinion, and that you could apply quantifiable criteria in order to say it was the best if you so desired.
never once did i say that any of these "proved" it was the best, quite the opposite in fact, i keep saying that imo it isn't the best, but you couldn't row with that could you? so you had to make stuffup. but i do chuckle at the way it gets up the noses of people like you that it's widely considered to be the best, and is certainly the most watched and most succesfull. |
By:
So you dont think it is the best and the likes of viewing figures etc are irrelevant?
You said one it was not the best then strangely turned to 'quantifiably its the best' and listed reasons why this could be. It makes no sense. |
By:
it really amazes me.
i can come on here and have a row with fans of clubs i consider to be rivals, or have the crack down the pub. this geezer wants to go miles away so he can row with everybody. funny ol' world. |

Lets face it, our results in the Champs League (barring Chelski last season - who had plenty of luck, but good luck to them for that) have been desperatly poor. This year, is about the same as last year, our league or the foreign league, as I like to call it, is grossly over-rated. The teams struggle to pass the ball for more than 4-5 times before giving it away. La Liga is by far the best League for passing and movement. In this League there is little movement off the ball and the game is all about passing and movement. Man U have won all 3 games in a very poor group. Chelski were going to struggle a bit this season, in the competition, because winners are there to be shot at. Arsenal will do what they always do get to he quarter finals and out they will go. Man City, well they are outplayed in every game, they play in the Champs League, because they simply aren't good enough and the fact, that they are the Champions of our Foreign League, tells you all you need to know about the QUALITY of our top League.

so you agree that as far as anything "quantifiable" the english is best. mexicano • October 24, 2012 10:01 PM BST in your opinion it's not the best. in any quantifiable criteria. it's the best Clearly you were saying it is the best and not offering up those as reasons why other might see it as the best. |

Why does it matter? Just curious. Doesn't bother me to be honest, i don't really see much difference from plastic United/liverpool fans living in Ireland to a Barcelona fan living in England. They both 'follow' their team and watch every match on tv. No real difference to me. Anyway i think i gave 2 decent responses as to why the premier league is better in my posts at 22:48 and 23:04. |
By:
here yo go again making it up.
where did i say viewing figures are irrelevent??????????????????????????? they are very revelent, they are part of the package that leads many to believe that the premiership is the best league in the world. |
By:
Jam, why does it matter so much to you? Its either barca, messi, spanish national side or spanish league with you. How will you feel when the truth about spain's increased success and the drugs abuse hits the fan?
By:
Of course you're wound up by it JamDav. Why else would you have spent the last 2 hours arguing about it, and why would you constantly keep bringing it up?
By:
No biscuits those points were fairly poor to be honest.
By:
Winner Winner - I have barely mentioned Barcelona on this thread, I am arguing about the strength of the leagues as I have for years on here.
By:
No tony, I am not wound up at all.
Dont worry about it. |
By:
ffs you are a hopeless case aren't you.
i was exploding your argument by giving the reasons why it is widely regarded worldwide as being the best. having already said that imo it wsn't thre best. i realise that supporting barca you don't meet many to have a row with, but you really ought to try and understand what people are saying before rowing for the sake of it. |
By:
JamDav1982 24 Oct 12 23:29
No biscuits those points were fairly poor to be honest. Well instead of spending an hour waffling on about 'quantifiable' things and getting mexicano to admit something that he never will, care to tell me why? There was nothing in my posts that wasn't true. |
By:
OK Mexicano as long as you dont think it is the best for those 'quantifiable reasons' then that will do for me.
By:
chicken dinner brings up a point.
apparently that cycling teams doctor was never "directly" employed by barca. |
By:
I dont think much of what was in your posts is true biscuits. In terms of giving reasons why the Prem is better quality.
By:
Yes that is correct Mexicano.
Ground breaking stuff..... well a couple of weeks ago it was. |
By:
JamDav1982 24 Oct 12 23:34
I dont think much of what was in your posts is true biscuits. In terms of giving reasons why the Prem is better quality. So you are denying that the premier league is more competitive overall, more exciting and their games have a better atmosphere? |
By:
Is it the best? maybe it is, maybe it isn't, we can't really say for sure. What I do know I find it pretty boring and negative to watch. on the whole. Barca/real has become a freak show and is also getting equally boring now. Nothing wrong with good old fashioned in your face football that you see down the leagues in England for a day out. Much better than sitting and watching Spanish football as they sideways pass each other to death
By:
No I am not denying that Biscuits. I am denying that it makes it better quality.
By:
SO yes I would rather watch Burton Albion v Wimbledon than Getefae v Mallorca any day of the week....
By:
so at 21.56
i posted that imo it wasn't the best league in the world. and at 23.33 it appears that our barca fan had a revelation that i hadn't said it was the best league in the world. quick chaps these catalans. |
By:
So you wouldnt watch Getafe v Mallorca then Winner Winner?
By:
You also pointed 'quanifiable reasons' why Prem is best mexicano.
Keep up. |
By:
you're the one that needs to keep up. i posted those reasons as to why it's widely regarded as the best.
methinks you still don't get it ol' son. or is it just stubborness. either way i can't be ferked about finding out. good night. |
By:
You have a great chance of watching 22 english players, by watching Burton Albion v Wimbledon and that has alot to be said about it. Lets have the EPL back to being the EPL AND EVENTUALLY WE MAY GET A STRONGER NATIONAL SIDE.
By:
One long rambling changing argument from you mexicano.
