What am I jealous about Jam Dav, pity is all I feel for the likes of yourself and Fred.

it really rankles with some that the epl is widely acknowledged worldwide as the best league in the world.

Mexicano, how is that the same as you saying that, in your opinion, it wasn't the best????  You're not making a whole lot of sense..
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the most watched. the most commercially succesful. some[not me] may consider that makes them the best.

my opinion is that the english league has probably the best strength in depth, but not necessarily the best qulity teams.

Dont pity me I chose a fantastic team to glory hunt for.

I really dont care what you think of me, so dont bother with the pity,

How can you claim the Prem League has the best strength in depth??
By:
JamDav1982
When: 24 Oct 12 22:20
The Prem League has terrible strength in depth ffs.

Teams from middle to bottom are better in Spain,Germany and Italy quite easily.
By:
mexicano
When: 24 Oct 12 22:21
best strength in depth?

because imo the mid-lower teams in england are better than their counterparts in european leagues.
By:
JamDav1982

No chance Mexicano.
By:
Captain Christy
When: 24 Oct 12 22:21
here he is on the wind up again, just support a local team then you wouldn't have to worry about who's got the best league and where, no one gives a foook.
By:
JamDav1982
When: 24 Oct 12 22:22
You clearly give a fook son.

No one gives a fook what you think of them is closer to the truth.
By:
freddiek
When: 24 Oct 12 22:22
you obviously do christy. you re claiming a league with stoke in it is the best in the world!
By:
LordBobbin
When: 24 Oct 12 22:23
Don't think anyone really gives a 'foook' about you either Christy. Do us a favour and bugger off.
By:
mexicano
When: 24 Oct 12 22:23
it's all about opinion.

so we can argue the toss about relative merits all night.

what is not in dispute is that the english league is the most commercially succesful, and most watched.

and as i said earlier. that appears to get up quite a few noses.
By:
freddiek
When: 24 Oct 12 22:24
christy has chronic low self-esteem due to stoke being universally detested
By:
Captain Christy
When: 24 Oct 12 22:24
All you ever do is come on here as a typical gloryhunting fcukwit claiming to be above every other supporter on here with your 'affiliation' to a club which you have no connnection to whatsoever, get a foooking life.

Bilbao finished tenth in La Liga and look how they took Man Utd apart.

Villarreal got relegated with players like Nilmar, Rossi, Diego Lopez, Bruno Soriano etc.

Depth in La Liga is much stronger.

JamDav1982
When: 24 Oct 12 22:25
Captain Christy so keep up.

I get you think that, but please get I dont care.

Cheers mate.

There's no quantifiable way of saying that the PL has better depth all the way down. What is that based on?  Europa League results???
By:
Captain Christy
When: 24 Oct 12 22:26
I don't converse with gloryhunting nobs Fred.
By:
Captain Christy
When: 24 Oct 12 22:27
Keep going then JamDav, don't forget your opinions are worthless and you are just a gloryhunting nob with no understanding of what football is about.
By:
LordBobbin
When: 24 Oct 12 22:27
Well what are you doing on this thread then, Christy?  Haven't you worked out that nobody here wants to hear from you?
By:
freddiek
When: 24 Oct 12 22:27
so anyone who supports an english team is supposed to fall into line and defend the EPL? do me a favour.
By:
JamDav1982
When: 24 Oct 12 22:28
Capain Christy calm down and get a life please.

There is a good lad.

Who made you king of the thread 'lord', jamdav has one of these windup threads week in week out, aren't we allowed to question it?
By:
mexicano
When: 24 Oct 12 22:29
as i said bobbin. it's all about opinion.

except what can be quantified.

the initial posting invited us to ignore last years result in order to back up an opinion.

but we know what is quantifiable, and the englisg league comes out very well there.
By:
JamDav1982
When: 24 Oct 12 22:30
Quantifiable is the fact La Liga is ranked No.1 in europe mexicano.

The Prem was most watched in the mid 90's when 6/7th ranked in europe. It means little to nothing.
By:
JamDav1982
When: 24 Oct 12 22:31
Countdown to mexicano using the word quantifiable to sound intelligent again.........
By:
LordBobbin
When: 24 Oct 12 22:33
There's certainly no quantifiable way of saying that Prem League sides currently have greater depth than Spanish sides. There just isn't.
By:
mexicano
When: 24 Oct 12 22:36
quantifiable is a number of things.

viewing figures

commercial success.

trophys won.

as in your initial posting were you invited us to ignore last years cl result because it didn't suit your argument, you want to cherry pick reasons for your case.

as i said, perhaps we should all go miles away to the country that is acknowledged as having the best league, support the best team in that league even though we have no emotional pull on that club, then slag off all the local teams/leagues to us.

we could then stick our chests out and go to bed feeling very smug.

When: 24 Oct 12 22:36
It's good for the game. Remember 6 or 7 years ago it was nearly a given the English teams would get to the Semi's/quarters. I don't know what's changed as the money is still there for the English teams. Other teams more savvy nowadays I reckon and have sorted out some good TV deals for themselves..
By:
Alias
When: 24 Oct 12 22:38
but it's the most commercially successful,

Yep, since it sold its arse to Rupert. Oh, and it's more than probably the most indebted too.
By:
JamDav1982
When: 24 Oct 12 22:38
No mexicano viewing figures is not directly linked to quality of league.

AGAIN you make yourself look an idiot!!!

The Prem has most viewers due to its success in Asia etc, yet you then claim people who support foreign clubs are terrible!!!
By:
mexicano
When: 24 Oct 12 22:39
sold it's arse to rupertHappy

absolutely.

great shame you little mob can't give any part of your anatomy awayHappy
By:
JamDav1982
When: 24 Oct 12 22:40
mexicano you arguments are so flimsy it is laughable.
By:
hippie
When: 24 Oct 12 22:41
number of internationals plying their trade in the respective leagues is probably a quantifiable indicator of strength in depth.
