8 minutes added time was WRONG, no way should there have been that long added on.
The red card was defo a red card, please tell me how it isn't a red?! Valencia was 1 on 1 with the keeper and was PUSHED in the back, also you can see the defenders knee smash into the side on Valencia, hence why he went to ground. No way would he have dived in that position, he is one of the most honest players in the league. Suarez dived. Can't think of any other penalty decision that LFC should/shouldn't have had. Charwell - fact is you're still seething from our great victory at Anfield. |

Would you like a little bet on how much added time was played mate? A friendly ton or so? I say we were into the eighth minute of added time or so and you say five minutes, nearest wins? Would hate for the truth not to get in the way. |

If the F.A are indeed scared of fergie, how it that something that fergie himself should be brought to book for, if you have enough about you that you can frighten the powers that be into doing your will through kicking off then good luck to you, hardly brown envelope time is it

Pete, I think Char meant 5 was ONLY given, despite the fact RVP had to wait about 5mins to take his pen and with other injuries and subs and what not it should have been alot more, the ref ended up playing about 7 mins.

Isn't that what I said? ie Much more time was played than the board showed at the end of the match, 5 mins showed but into the 8th minute actually played. |

In fact you can argue that the F.A are working against united in not appointing refs that previously have given decisions against united.....by thinking that in the refs obvious terror at faces fergie they may in fact be unfairly biased to united in future

In the week prior to the United game, Mark Halsey attended a charity dinner organised by Ferguson - and was sat on the top table with him. Dawsy, do you actually have a single shred of objectivity in your body? Suarez was clearly tripped as the replays show. Valencia clearly dived. Shelveys was no worse than the tackle coming in from the MU player at the same time. And Van Persies was an horrendous tackle. You also didn't see Agger being hauled down in the box either. Even my manc friends admit the ref had a nightmare in that game. As for great victory you were completely outplayed from start to finish by 10 mean. If it wasn't for Halsey you would have lost. As Rafa said 'FACT.' And lest we forget: 1. Alex was not happy with Foy after tottenham game, Foy referees a League Two game. #FACT ... 2. Mike Dean, referee, when Blackburn beat Utd 2-3, hasn't refereed a Utd game since. #FACT 3. Mike Dean - referee, in 2010, after Utd's defeat to Chelsea, was demoted to the Championship. #FACT 4. Regardless of what people's thoughts are over whether the FA are or aren't biased towards Fergie and United, a good point was raised in the OP.
Why do we automatically assume that there is no corruption in the premier league? it goes on almost everywhere else, why not here too? People will argue that PL players earn too much to be bribed but i don't go along with that, people will always want more money. If John Terry is willing to risk getting into trouble for charging 10k a time to show people round Chelsea's trianing ground, who's to say a player can't be bribed for 100-200k? |

It was the messing about with the youngsters careers that irked me most about that, he obv loaned the boys out to gain playing time and experience but must have said feck them when he decided to call them back.

Listen to what Lawro said on MOTD Charwel.. He said the ref had a blinder and gave him a 10/10 performance rating. That is coming from an ex-Liverpool player who loves the club and is very biased towards them. You are a sad mess of a man and your life revolves around Man United, get a grip.

A referee has been arrested on suspicion of hacking the accounts of a colleague at the Football Association. Dean Mohareb, 29, was also questioned over allegations he passed the information to the media. The senior member of the FA's referee department was arrested on Sunday at his home by Greater Manchester Police. He was due to referee the Championship match between Barnsley and Peterborough on Tuesday night but was stood down after his arrest. A police spokesman confirmed a 29-year-old man had been bailed on suspicion of unauthorised access to computer material/data and disseminating private information. The arrest is said to be connected to a police investigation into the hacking of personal and work emails belonging to Janie Frampton, the FA's former National Referee Manager for Education and Training. Ms Frampton - an FA employee for 10 years - was suspended and then dismissed from her post after confidential information was leaked to the press. She is appealing against the decision to sack her. Mohareb is currently the FA's national referee development manager and a Football League referee. The Professional Game Match Officials appointed Carl Boyeson to referee the Barnsley-Peterborough match at 15:00 BST on Tuesday. The FA declined to comment. |

Match flixing is separate from Ferguson debate... they are not allowing him to get away with it exactly, they just don't know how to combat it considering Ferguson is an old man who is very much a football icon.. a bit like Jimmy saville only it is ref fiddling. It is wrong though as it is suffocating the game for the profit of the FA, football businessmen etc. In the long run it creates an immoral game that is only for the benefit of the elite sides... Alex will flix it for you.

Obviously not all but look at this lot; SAF- driving on the hard shoulder. lawyer said he had a dodgy stomach Gerrard- Was with all his mates and glassed the DJ because he felt threatened by one bloke Arry- Tax, doesn't even know how to use a laptop ffs JT- "Yes I did say that but was only repeating what I thought he had said" Grobbelar and Fashanu- Sun video shows them accepting thousands of pounds to throw matches Bowyer and ??- Hull jury finds them not guilty of affray and racial hatred. Civil case not proceeded with as the victims "reach an agreement" They are just off the top of my head. |

Ferguson has reigned over english football longer than most of the old dictators lasted. Hopefully a bright new era awaits when he finally decides to toddle off into retirement. Course if he waits too long it may be taken out of his hands

Martinez was fined recently for arguing that the ref was similarly a joke when Young dived for a pen and Wigan contest they had two stonewallers. He suffered last year too for a dive and the Wigan player was also sent off. Peter, it is not just LFC fans saying this but a lot of clubs aren't thick. If you don't think fegie is a master in manipulation & bullying of officials then I give up. P.s your point re the players etc above is spot on but that is a seperate issue of football in general. |

charwell, my point is that bad decisions happen all the time for every team.
I could talk to you about Liverpool winning the CL on top of quite a few decisions that went for you in the latter matches but that would be ridiculous. It is all part and parcel of football. Martinez was fined because of what he said publicly and rightly so if the FA wish to be consistent. Nothing to do with Ashley Young who wasn't even playing, it was because Welbeck went over very easily. As for their two stonewallers I am puzzled and think you probably have the wrong match. We won 4-0 and it could have been 14-0. We lost at Wigan last season and that was as much to blame for us losing the league. In that match it was us who had two shocking penalty decisions not given but again that is football and I accept that. Of course I understand SAF says things for a reason but I have readily accepted that already on this thread and also said I was quite happy for him to do it if it benefits United. Call it mind games or whatever. |

Agreed Donny, he is just doing the job he is paid to do and very well is Ferguson, at the end of the day it is the average football fan that continues to pay for what is a charade of a game that lines the pockets of filthy rich businessmen. Attendences continue to fall around the planet for what was a great community sports entertainment game.
