Good start by Woakes who seemed to bowl well without much luck in the first test. Once again the sightscreen issue has occurred already. Surely security guards should be aware of where they can't sit or stand? No cricket ground seems to be able to make it 100% secure from delay due to people wandering past or near a sightscreen. Pathetic. A high voltage cable down both sides might help.

Because hawkeye uses projections that can never be 100%. Therefore there is half a ball up/down, side by side in the ump's call

why did england odds lengthen this morning( no bumrah and winning the toss ) yet under 1.8 this morning and around 1.9 after toss ?

Good batting wicket, dry pitch, India right and left hand orthodox but bottles playing Kuldeep who is a match winner

Speculative punt on India for now. Woakes in the groove so they will need to see him off but he is bowling at 80mph at Test level.

India batting well. They know they need to see off these two spells and they have 3 hours in the sun for fun.

Market cannot decide if this pitch will last 5 days. I would expect England to keep going out all day and is the safe bet atm although it looks like a slow difficult to score with fluency type of pitch so England are the side who could force the pace. Not sure really. I am on India but don't know how dry the pitch is.

India only just gone favourites 146-2 after 41 overs after being put in on a dry pitch

Put them in again. 150/2 might just be having second thoughts.

That draw price will move up and down like a ****'s drawers!

It is about having the bottle to back it big above 5's and sell it off when it looks like it is going to tank. We won't know until days 4 or 5 really. i suspect it will start taking spin before then but it is a slow pitch and will need to break up for India to win.

Pretty stoopid by Stokes AGAIN!

Got away with one in the last test.

England came back magnificently last time not once, nor twice but thrice!

England were brilliant but India really gave it away or rather left the gate open 3 times and dropped catches.

I don't care how good England are these are two evenly matched sides and you cannot keep giving chances or expect to receive them gratis. Bumrah is rested for Lords and Stokes has given them the opportunity to remain strongly in this series.

There have been at least two deliveries (both Carse) that have not quite grubbed, but that certainly kept low.

No clue on pitches, really, but notable for a first morning...

Yes and on the basis of that I think India are an attractive buy atm

Taken some draw @5.7 firmly against England now so interesting passage of play coming after tea

India did really well this session but the wicket has brought England back into this

England still good value to lay. Evn if they take wickets there will be opportunities to get out imho

By:

I do believe India may have learned their lesson and will try and bat England out of this, which, makes an England lay the bet again imho.

Quite agree, why would you want to bat last?

Slightly off topic, but i think Mike Atherton should be enjoyed as a commentator whilst he is still on the Sky team

Also interesting to note that England were about 2.58 to win on here al little before Jaiswals wicket and price dropped to 2.18 when hed gone (approximate prices as not immediately checked).
Cricket is a great IR event especially when India are involved

Not sure he was Reddy.
By:

With Reddy at six and Sundar at eight, India are almost simultaneously light on batting and bat deep Excited
