Not sure I would be backing England except to clear red at 15+
Biggest fear is rain tomorrow. Overcast should help the bowlers. If there is rain there will be clouds. I think Gill will declare with 450 before tea depending on overhead conditions. Another 160 in 40 odd overs or get to 400 odd and have a thrash if wickets in hand. India’s game this v the weather. Pitch might not be spinning but it is getting uneven. It will not be easy to score fast tomorrow although England needing 300 on the last day would worry India. |

Edgbaston seems to have escaped the rain today. Wimbledon wet and so is Somerset. I would expect India to declare by tea at the latest.

I have been extremely greedy and want the draw at more than 4 so will have to wait.
It does look dark but the forecast said little chance of rain. Even tomorrow there may be stoppages but plenty of time for a result and the cloud and pitch will assist India. Anybody smart with money should have layed England again after the fall of the wicket. |

imo theres no chance gill will declare with a 500 lead, will want at least 550 lead , hell be thinking of last test match when eng won with plenty spare , and the way smith/brookes batting yesterday

Could be Indians best chance of squaring the series, so might need to take a risk.

I'd have thought nearer 550 than 500 as if they can reach the declaration option surely they declare assuming a dry day tomorrow whatever the forecast predicts , element of not losing in both captains heads to a degree but although 1-1 would be great for Gill 0-2 would be catastrophic.

I know what Stokes would do and I know what Gill is likely to do. A 40-60 minute crack before tea is what he should do but you are right nothing before 500 probably |

They're just looking for the correct line in the sand now between time remaining vs runs required , not an exact science and get 10 different captains you get similar but no nearer.
