I mean, they've not handled Broad at all well this morning session but he's been on the money and he was excellent yesterday too.

Not really the game situation to open with Buttler and Stokes.  I think they'll be quite conservative and WI won't exactly race through the overs. As more on the draw, I hope they're slow as treacle but they really ought to start laying into the attack after the first few overs.  Hardly hurts England to be bowled out for under 200 and might well do them good to get 190 or so off 50 overs.

Will definitely be some rain tomorrow but in case there's a session or so of play, agree they can't declare.  They shouldn't worry too much about being bowled out but I reckon they won't approach it that way.  Of course, several of the batsmen are naturally fast scorers anyway, albeit that Stokes and Root seem less dynamic recently.

Here is a rough and ready Broad bowling in test by year.
The year is when the series started, it may have spanned across years.
The average (av) is a simple wickets divided by matches.

    2009        16        51        3.19
    2010        8        22        2.75
    2011        7        33        4.71
    2012        11        40        3.64
    2013        15        66        4.40
    2014        7        26        3.71
    2015        17        69        4.06

Looks like the plan is slow and steady, get a lead of well over 300, with plenty of time to skittle WI out on Tuesday on a 5th day pitch, if tomorrow is lost.
