They refused to fight in WW2 , that is a fact
No rewriting of history can alter that fact |
|
By:
Charlie , you’re confused. If you are going to talk about the past , then so will I
Too difficult to understand ? |
|
By:
For someone who doesn't care about the past you mention the war a lot. You said you didn't care about the past not me.
|
|
By:
No , you’re confused again , peckerdunne mentioned it
I answered , ok with that ? |
|
By:
The oirish attacked Britain whilst we were at war with Germany, that is a fact ,vermin.

History doesn’t bother me ebul , I insist on being unbothered by that You have a very short memory. |
|
By:
I’m not bothered by history Charlie , but I am happy to talk about it
And put forward a few facts, that’s how it works , too difficult to understand ? |
|
By:
There’s no point reading words if you don’t understand words charle
I didn’t say I forget the past , I said you forget to think about it when you have the present Now read those words , read them again , read them slowly And try to understand |
|
By:
Too subtle ?
|
|
By:
Ah selective history concerning Ireland seems to be the theme,
You really should read that link i posted lfc about the Irish holocaust, that is an eye opener,no wonder you are reluctant. |
|
By:
sorry pl , I’m not interested
|
|
By:
I might take a look having said that , last time you pointed me in the direction of a link I had to point out that you hadn’t understood it
And not to waste my time , I hope this is not sometimg if the same |
|
By:
I suppose you’ve convientky forgotten that little misunderstanding
|
|
By:
It’s ok , these things happen
But it made me a little uncertain about your unbiased judgement pl. sorry |
|
By:
Yes,it would simply shatter some of your illusions, you are blattering on about rural Irelands small contribution to ww2 yet you are uninterested in the systemic genocide of your country being responsible for the deaths of millions.
Unbelievable Jeff. |
|
By:
It’s history , now I see how the Irish are unable to accept their non role in the battle against Nazi Germany , and it’s eventual destruction
Something that directly affected all our lives , here today and throughout all our lives Now if the Irish judgement on that part of history is so poor then I’m wary of anything they might say on any particular issue |

History pa lapsy , it’s not an excuse to bomb and murder innocent men women and children today
Remember that |
|
By:
That’s true , so make sure there is no upsurge in violent behaviour by the Irish over Brexit
That means no violence , we don’t want to have to send the British army in again now do we? |
|
By:
They haven’t found the murderers of that young female journalist murdered by the new Ira gave they pl
Not yet, no ones come forward with information ? Not yet |
|
By:
No one from that community , I suppose they have their reasons, and excuses
I’m not interested in their excuses |
|
By:
I sincerely hope there isn't,it is hope only, not confident and probably depends on the way brexit pans out.
The"Irish Sea" border solution probably would have been the best one for that. Brexit itself has gotten very messy and not sure what will happen,i do think if a border goes up,it won't be the actual border itself that is the problem but economic consequenses which will only feed "unrest" |

I think lfc has foul hooked a couple here.

The thing about lfc1971 is he wont accept any criticism of this Country or the USA..
He thinks we are perfect countries who have never ever done anything wrong or are ever likely too.... Not something I could agree with, particularly this country treatment of Ireland over the centuries.. Still if that is his opinion he has a right to it and he is not disposed to any sensible discussion on this |
|

He thinks we.. sb He thinks we are perfect

How to drag lfc1971 out to post, post something about Ireland
![]() lfc1971 is an interesting charachter as in he is either the best fisherman ever on these forums or he is the dumbest cant residing in the whole United Kingdom and anybody who has seen the likes of Jeremy Kyle will know that would be some feat so which is it |
|
By:
TBF at times he "steps up" gives it 110%.
|
|
By:
He's the dumbest cant. On a par with one of his supporters that shouldn't be too hard to work out who.

When 70,000 Irish men who fought the Nazis went back to Ireland after WW2, the Irish government banned them from getting any jobs and benefits. Starvation orders I believe they were called. |
|
By:
Apart from those brave people that enlisted the Irish did a lot more to support the British/Allied cause than is generally thought. For a nation that was officially neutral and had been shat on numerous times by Britain I think that was noble.
|
|
By:
I read that Fredrescue,no argument there, i can't however get how you maintain 8 million Irish people are residing in the UK, i think my figures are way more accurate and even now it is declining and a mostly aged Irish population.

Someone doesn't like the idea that they were not with us over opposing nazi rule and in some instances actually welcomed the nazis.

By:
Now we have someone standing outside Balmoral , waving a tricolour and protesting about Brexit !
It really is almost unbelievable, no other country in the world would put up with this ***** Surely we can arrest that little Irishman and send him back to Ireland |
|
By:
lol history lesson to follow.

By:
Fred c,mon, post your link to the 8 million Irish born currently living in the UK.
|
|
By:
No matter how many there are pl , we don’t want any of them waving an Irish tricolour outside Balmoral
|
|
By:
The Irish government consider anyone with 1 Irish grandparent to be Irish, 8 million people in the UK are effectively Irish and can just get an Irish passport by filling in a form, no need to even ever have visited Ireland in their lives.
