Get a Samsung blu ray facts. Brilliant they are. Connects to the wi-fi and great for streaming. Lots of available apps on it, You Tube, Netflix, MLB (lol) and lots more. Make sure though it`s wi=fi built in otherwise you have to buy a wi-fi stick.

The only thing about the Blu Rays is that many older films/tv series are being passed off as Blu Ray but are not better than normal dvd. I just bought The Invisible Man (David McCallum) and Winds Of War (Mitchum) on blu ray and although decent pictures on both series they are not the blu ray quality normally expected.

Yeah, Breaking Bad is addictive - you have to watch four or five episodes in a row. I don't see how films can compete with this. Mightymac - the Wagner series has some astounding sequences, like the grand piano being moved over hundreds of miles over snowy winter landscapes, pulled on a sledge by a team of horses. As an ex-removals man who moved over a hundred grand pianos......fook, this scene, with the ominous Wagner music in the background...it really knocked me out...I had to turn off the dvd player...I couldn't stop thinking about the scene for weeks.

Yep. Films can't compete. There is no way a storyline contained in the likes of Breaking Bad or Game Of Thrones could be told over a 2 or 3 hour film. Even a trilogy wouldn't suffice. I believe this multi seasons concept, with film/sound quality on par with the cinema is the way forward.
Plus the major advantage of watching it in the comfort of your own home. No incredibly irritating distractions of mobile phones,talking,munching food or slurping drinks, cracking crisp packets or hacking coughs. Or people with weak bladders ! |

Having read about Caspar DF on Wiki, it's clear that there must have been a MASSIVE
 financial opportunity there as he was well out of favour even as late as 1970...I'm guessing you could have bought a right good one for about £10,000 and now it would be worth £2 million upwards. |
